I've been extremely happy with them. What I love most is that they are constantly improving the user experience and giving you tips and resources to make your podcast better. I recommend them to new podcasters all the time. Pros Ease of use Constant Improvement Cons I haven't used Libsyn before, but it seems like they have better analytics for their podcast, so if anything, I'd like to see better analytics. January 24, 2017 5.0 When I was first looking for a podcast hosting service, I attended Podcast Movement and met the people at Buzzsprout. They were very helpful, and their services and prices met my needs. I especially like their feature of transferring existing podcasts to their service. The stats are also very easy to use, and uploading an episode is super easy and fast. Wonderful service! Pros I use the 3 hr a month service, and if I go over, I only have to pay for the extra time for that month. It's very easy to upload episodes, get stats, and send the podcast out to the web. Cons I haven't had any issues with Buzzsprout in the year and a half I've been using it. Review Source MK Mark K. UI is very easy to navigate and getting started couldn't be easier with Buzzsprout! Cons At the time, embed options for the podcast weren't as robust, but they have continued to improve it! Pros The UI is incredibly straightforward, making the experiencing of uploading and tracking podcasts incredibly simple to understand and use. Easily get listed in major podcast directories. Track activity, listens and diagnostic usage information. Very affordable pricing models makes Buzzsprout approachable to even amateur podcasters. Cons So far I've only dabbled in the free service - but I haven't run into anything I disliked. Review Source GB Gabriel B. The attitude of the staff I have e-mailed is wonderful. I once asked for special information on the stats that are not normally and somebody took the extra time to track down the info. I once had a hard time paying my bill and you gave me the month free so I wouldn't loose all of the episodes. I am very great full to do business with you. Review Source TD Tracy D. Before joining Buzzsprout it was quite an ordeal making it available on all of those platforms manually. The monthly cost of Buzzsprout is well worth the time it saves! Pros The ease of use. It's so simple just to upload the audio file, name it and click publish. Cons I haven't found any cons so far. Review Source JS Johnnie S. " December 9, 2017 5.0 Ease of use, website is an aggregator for other mediums. Pros I like that I can upload the audio file to one place and it show up on so many other platforms, especially Google Play and iTunes! Cons You have to pay attention to the requirements of other sites that Buzzspout uploads to, for example some information fields that are not required for Buzzsprout may be required for Google Play to publish the podcast. Monthly hourly upload limits and unlimited active storage are a perfect fit for our business needs at this time. The episode analytics are an excellent feature integrated into the offering that I hadn't seen from other hosting services at this level. Pros Ease of use. Ease of billing Cons I would like to see more location analytics than the top 10 countries and cities, and the last 1,5,and 10 episode aggregates. Review Source RD Regina D. I hope i find a card that works soon so i can get on a paid plan and yet full benefits. Pros What I like most about this software is the easy of use and the support system available to me whenever I needed clarification and that not much needed because it's really very easy to use. Cons My only hitch has been paying for an upgrade. I'm in Nigeria and that has been really difficult. I would appreciate any help with this Review Source PG Peter G. April 28, 2017 5.0 It's decentralised and streamlined what was a time consuming and onerous task. Our responsiveness in keeping our podcast updated had dramatically improved. Pros Buzzsprout is a really easy, simple platform to use, yet quite feature rich in what it offers. We love that it's easy to access from anywhere - as a multi site church our old system of being tied to one iMac with multiple apps needed to create a podcast is now a thing of the past. Buzzsprout's support team a brilliant too, they understand podcasting and are really helpful and responsive! Cons The embedding and integration options could do with a bit if work; whilst we can create embed urls for certain tags and speakers, it would be great to see that taken a step further and have an embeddable player with filter options. Review Source Response from Higher Pixels May 11, 2017 Hi Peter, Thank you for your review. We actually do have the ability to filter by artists and tags in the embed players. Here's a help article on how to do that: https://www.buzzsprout.com/help/18-advanced-embed-tips Though, I think we could do a better job of showing that feature on the embed page, so I've passed your review on to the team. I love that they have a free option that is genuinely workable (and not just a limited pseudo-account) so you can test the service or get a starter podcast off the ground. The upload tools are very easy to use. Thanks! Pros Very easy to use. Free option works quite well for basic needs. Cons I've had a few occasions where the file name wouldn't immediately update after an upload, but that's a pretty minor issue. Review Source AR Aurelio R. Again, as a first time podcaster, it was easy to use. This helps getting those first time jitters out of the way until you become more experienced in the upload process. Pros I loved the functionality of the website. As a first time podcaster, it was easy to navigate the site and upload my podcast. Cons The lack of an app. I would have loved it if Buzzsprout would have had an app. I could record on GarageBand and then upload to Buzzsprout all on my phone. Review Source gH greg H. It also offers really fast upload speed for the audio clips. They do a nice job with the layout and the transition into itunes. Everything is simple and has a good flow to it. Cons I dont have many cons with Buzzsprout..One thing I noticed is that they offer a 30 second or less clip that you can load to facebook or other platforms. Great idea and ease of use, but I think it should offer an option to upload a different picture other than a sound wave photo. Review Source PB Phil B. I have not had any trouble and everything is pretty much spelled out got you and easy to use. I actually do not have a single complaint. I am close to a year in using this and have no plans on leaving the site. #EyeForMrJ Pros I like how its free and as a beginner, its easy to understand the most of the rules on the site Cons It was hard to understand when your "time" renewed. Its not a calendar month, so the actual time when it renews is funny, so you have to learn how to budget your "time" well Review Source JK Julie K. Pros As a first time podcaster, this program makes it extremely easy to share your episodes to each of the podcast platforms (iTunes, Spotify, Google, etc) in one go. The use is very self-explanatory. Cons I would like to see more in-depth analytics. Listeners is great, but I'd prefer to see subscribers and how long each listener listened per episode (much like YouTube's average watch time). Review Source CD Cait D. writer Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Overall positive, lacking some features." January 8, 2018 4.0 Pros Easy to use, quick upload time, and reasonably priced. The layout for the admin page is clear and straightforward. Cons The website for the shows themselves are a bit messy. The stats are also a bit lacking. For example, I wish there was a way to see ALL the locations where the podcast has played instead of just the top. Also, see the locations of individual episodes. Review Source CG Cody G. February 25, 2022 5.0 We were quickly able to get all our backlog of episodes pushed quickly out and easily. One of the easiest podcast platforms I’ve ever used. Pros We were looking to push out a ton of content quickly in the beginning of the pandemic. Buzzsprout was easy to deploy, publish and manage. Cons Nothing at all! Everything was great and easy to use! Review Source AO Anthony O. Pastor and Head of Staff Religious Institutions Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Love Buzzsprout" February 15, 2019 5.0 Our podcast is the Sunday sermon of our church and an extension of our ministry. Buzzsprout makes it easy for our members to listen to sermons they missed or would like to hear again by offering multiple ways to either stream it or download. Using their analytics we also discovered an audience beyond our geographic region. Pros The ease of uploading my podcast AND their help in getting me on iTunes, & Spotify Cons I had some issues with backdating my podcasts so they reflect a particular day that my listeners would search for rather than the day they post, but we were able to work that out. I liked the fact that tutorials help to start quickly even if you are new to the podcast world. Cons Episode navigations could be improved. It's also annoying that episodes get automatically deleted after while unless you start a paid subscription Review Source Similar Products Featured
