Overall, this is an excellent product to quickly integrate multiple data sources critical to your eCommerce environment and get actionable insights. The GLEW team is constantly rolling out new integrations and expanding the out-of-box analytics for added value.

Pros

The deployment is minimal effort due to the out-of-box integrations and robust reporting included. The standard integrations with Magento, Google Analytics, and Facebook with the baseline product are easy to setup. The insights GLEW provides to our team have proven to be valuable and actionable in many ways.

Cons

You can't do deep customization on the reports without upgrading to the Pro version which is much more expensive - but that is to be expected to get that level of enterprise capabilities.

Pros

The interface is easy enough but it leaves you wanting more. My client tried to use this and it provided zero value.

Cons

Customer service. Hands down. Not initially, but once you are “closed” forget it. It’s like boiler room.

### "Like a Gym Membership"

Pros

I have been using the software for the past year. When I use it, it is nice and sexy but I haven’t been able to really benefit from the tool. They make you subscribe to a year contract. It’s been a year and not worth the money. I emailed them to cancel and it worse than trying to cancel a gym membership. They have a 30 day notice period which doesn’t make any sense for a software company. They just try squeeze you for every last cent which doesn’t leave a good taste in my mouth. In general, the tool is nice but after going through this cancelation procedure I think the company is pretty scummy and I wouldn’t recommend them.

Cons

Difficult cancelation process. They make you give them a 30 day warning. There is a 12 month minimum.

### "Daily Snapshot"

With on-line marketing and the need for results, Glew provides as easy to read, user friendly snapshot of our performance. For the price, Glew provides a cost effective ideal solution for sales and marketing. A great product from a team who provides outstanding customer service. I recommend it for all of my representatives.

Pros

We love the daily snapshot in our management review meetings. Each morning we receive an automated email telling us the number of visitors and quick view of sales for the day. Ideal for a quick look as to if we are winning or losing. We can always dig into the details by logging into our dashboard.

Cons

Some may say the daily snapshot if very basic but for me it is exactly what I need. Quick view, easy to read and if I need more details I can always dig in.

Pros

The integrations are incredibly easy and streamlined. The data visualization and reporting tools that come out of the box are top-notch.

Cons

The Magento integration is a module, not an API, so we need to wait for our deployment/release cycles to get started with each of our big clients.

We are solving CRM, customer data, product data and inventory data insights and issues with Glew.

Pros

Integrating all of the data is very simple and easy through custom API calls. Sync your accounts, hit sync and data is there in 24-28 hours.

Cons

If you use Enterprise, you really need a skilled team to develop dashboards who know SQL, Python and R.

### "Best tool for small to medium ecommerce businesses."

After using Glew for over a year now my experience has been really positive. The account management with support team is always excellent.

Pros

What I like most about Glew is their preloaded customer segmentation and LTV for each audience. We're able to rapidly pull segments of our audiences and load them into FB ad manager with ease. This gives us greater flexibility in creating look alike audiences while scaling paid FB spend.

Cons

I wish we had more direct access to cohorts on a running 12 month basis. It would really help small brands better understand the quality of the customers they're acquiring and if their retention efforts are working properly.

They were very friendly but not up front about pricing which always bothers me. The platform itself is fantastic for people who can afford to pay for it and will use it actively. It is not worth the money if you are not going to sit and analyze all the time.

Pros

I loved all the functionality and the simplicity in set up. There are very few drawbacks to this application in terms of what you get and what you can get. As far as functionality it was a data dream for us as a multi platform retailer.

Cons

The price. The price was so over the top that we just simply could not go for it. The data is worth it and actionable but compared to other products out there it simply was way too high. They don't advertise it publically but to get a good view of everything going on you need to be shelling out at least 2K a month.

Cons

No immediate cons - some metrics lack date sorting, etc. and I think the Shopify integration could go deeper but this is an awesome product.

Only a small con but there's isn't a link to Google Webmasters' Data

Pros

It's easy to use, has lots of historical data and easy ways to compare different time periods and year over year. Love the details it shows on the products and all that it integrates with too

Cons

Kind of pricey for reporting software in my opinion. especially compared to what we used to use.

The Glew views allow us to view everything that is going on with our business from traffic to sales, users to products. We take advantage of the Amazon and Mailchimp integrations as well. The customer service is excellent and the platform is easy to use. An essential and well like part of the management of our business.

Pros

I like how easy it is to get at my key data, and that I can pull in data from other sources and still see everything in one view.

Cons

I didn't really find anything to be a drawback.

Pros

Absolutely nothing. Terrible customer service. Would never use again. Keep billing and make it impossible to cancel .

Cons

Cancelled the service, had an acknowledgement from them that it was cancelled and they then kept charing out credit card and didn't respond to any emails when we contacted them. AVOID.

### "Software features do not work properly and poor customer service"

In addition to the product issues mentioned above, our account manager often cancelled calls at the last minute, leaving us to reschedule and wait weeks between meetings, while we were desperately trying to work out how to solve the issues we had. Also, Glew refused to provide us with an invoice that had a currency listed, and we had to argue with the \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] to get one.

Pros

There are some great features on this software but the main one we wanted (understanding our sell through rate) did not work.

Cons

We purchased this software to understand our sell through rate. My business partner spent months trying to set up the platform to calculate this. We were told repeatedly by the Glew team that it was a question of setting up the right tags on our products in order to correctly understand the sell through, but in the end, the account manager told us that the software wasn't working as it was supposed to. We were offered no compensation and paid for a year of services that we couldn't use.

I've always wanted one central location to see my daily performance, not only in sales numbers, but where and why those sales came in. By integrating my marketing channels (including email), i'm able to get a clear picture on where those sales came from, and how trends are affecting them.

Cons

The commitment period is long, but you're locked in with your price, which is good.

During the time we used Glew, it was exceptional insight into our business without having to do too much digging across multiple applications. It gave us some valuable suggestions to allow us to focus on the right items in our store and reposition our brand.

Pros

Glew has amazing analytics that tell you a few insights that are hard to get anywhere else unless you have a financial analysis on staff. Some things I find incredible are the analytics that actually allow you to see suggestions on different items to offer customers as a bundle deal. You can also see quite easily which items don't bring you enough profit to make it worth advertising and keep focused on only the most profitable items in your store.

Cons

This application is incredible but way too much for any business not bringing in at the very least $50k per year. If you bring in less than this, utilize whatever free tools you can find until then. For medium-larger businesses, this tool seems practically essential.

There wasn’t anything to lie. It doesn’t deliver what it says it does

I signed up for the trial to understand our subscription metrics and I was told they weren’t able to share that information on the trial and it would only be unlocked once I paid for the service. I shared examples of what I was looking for and asked for confirmation that’s what they would give me and they confirmed this. Two months on they had lost the information I have previously supplied had been lost and I had to rearrange a call to say it had been two months and nothing had happened. After further chasing they shared the report which wasn’t correct. I fed back and they delayed responding and then requested screenshots for me to prove the information was incorrect. They then requested a download of information which didn’t exist and then went silent. After informing them I would like no further payments to be taken, a new contact \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] got in contact and continued to feed the same line and say they wouldn’t stop payments. I have chased up with my credit card company to resolve. DO NOT WORK WITH THESE GUYS - the data is not to be trusted

They falsely claimed they could provide information that I needed

We are huge fans of the the product segmentation, marketing analytics, and number of App integrations. Glew has been instrumental in helping us analyze our business in a quick and efficient way. As a small brand time is everything!

We've found that at time some screens can be slow to load.

Terrible customer service, they tell you that their software can do one thing, you sign the contract, then they delay delay delay to hold you in and say sorry we don't have that feature and you're under contract.

Pros

Interesting dashboard, but limited in it's functionality and usefulness.

Cons

They can't compare data to the previous year on the main dashboard. It wants to report against the previous "30 day" period, but won't compare to the previous year same period as a default. This is crazy that it can't do such a basic task.
