This is the simple yet feature-packed email client everyone needs to have! Cons It would be great to have signatures and client settings sync to the cloud so that changes are reflected across all devices with the client. I would even pay for the feature. Very glad to have found Mailbird. Pros It's got an extremely good looking and customizable UI. It gets my email. I was able to pay for a lifetime license, so I own the email client and won't have it yoinked just because I don't want to pay for a given month. I HATE the monthly software-leasing model, especially when no service is provided! It's a client, it's run on my machine, and using the servers of my email providers. No monthly fee is appropriate. Anyway, this is a good client. Cons That it does not run on MacOS. I am forced to use Spark on Mac and iOS, and it's okay, but it's kind of buggy and a lot less customizable, and I wish I could use Mailbird instead! Review Source Rob C. That the Mailbird window also offers easy access to other apps I use frequently; like Slack, Drive, Dropbox, and others; just sweetens the deal, and saves me even more time. Pros Not only does Mailbird put all your email accounts into a common window, but it also lets you incorporate other chat and productivity tools into the same space. With good customization options to let you set all of this up in Mailbird for a personalized workflow, using this app should only result in improvements to efficiency. Cons It's tough to switch away from working in your browser after years of having done so. Gmail is a great tool in its own right, and Mailbird doesn't offer a ton more in terms of features or experience as compared to the refined basics you get directly from Google. I heard Thunderbird is among the most popular, but it's nothing compared to Mailbird. I love using it. Pros Linking different e-mails is easy, as is sending from different e-mails. The search availability is useful, and I like how it displays your most recent search history. It has also a friendly interface - not too cluttered, but not over simplified either. Cons With the updated availability to review Google Sheets/docs directly in the e-mail, this limits my ability to multi-task, i.e., I cannot review other e-mails while viewing a Google Sheets document. I find myself often copying the link and then pasting it in my browser instead, because there's currently no way to 'opt out' of this option. I would like to be able to categorize my 'starred' emails. The availability to access your two most recent searches, rather than one, would make it more useful. Review Source Chris H. Pros How stable it is when using multiple mail providers; so many times with outlook my OST files would get corrupted and I would have to set them up again Better looking and more functionality than windows mail. Can easily copy account settings between different clients if need to set them up on various PCs Cons That it can only handle a limited number of google log ons, but I suspect that is a google account limitation rather than mailbird - and you can get around this by using Username / password log on instead of google authentication Review Source Tania M. Cons Reception of "standard" messages from customer support when submitting queries, that's off-putting. Also, the inability to categorize messages. The icon feature is good way to keep track of navigating through different accounts. Besides, one can color the mails to see in a unified view. You can merge with popular apps like Facebook, Google, Whatsapp, Calendar, Dropbox, and many more which is a big plus. It's free! Cons One can find it overwhelming initially as you find lot of options while installing it for you very first account. Pros I really like being able to have my work and personal accounts all in one place, especially since I use both outlook mail and gmail. I also like have my Slack account, google keep, and other productivity accounts linked to Mailbird. It makes accessing information, especially for work, really easy. Cons I’ve had some difficulty setting up my account. Periodically I hAve reestablish the connection to the mail accounts. December 14, 2017 4.0 Much cheaper than Outlook. Lifetime license. Better functionality than Outlook (e.g. keyboard shortcuts, snoozing, integrations). Pros Everything you need is combined into one app. It basically creates mini-web pages that you can quickly toggle to. You can integrate Slack, Google Drive, Google Docs. Google Calendar, Asana, Feedly, Trello, Todoist, Hangouts, Keep, Facebook, and Chrome, just to name a few. It works best with Gmail, but it can also handle Exchange. Snooze emails - you know when you get an email that wants a response, but either now is not a good time, or maybe you need more information before you can answer, or perhaps you need to hear from someone else before you can respond back. Snooze will allow you to set a reminder to respond to that emails at a later time when you think you might have an answer. The price is good and they usually have good deals, especially if you act in the first few hours. Cons It doesn't work (or at least I haven't really figure it out) with Exchange/Office 365 calendars. There are some things you can do in your O365 settings to create the calendar's URL, but it's only a one-way deal. You can't create calendars entries that sync back with O365. It would also be nice if Mailbird was available for Mac, iOS, Android, and especially ChromeOS. Review Source Bima N. A. You can add almost all your IMAP emails but not restricted to other protocols as well. Other thing is not loaded with too much functionality but the right and most needed ones. You can use collaboration tools inside the mailbird which is good feature. I wanted to try out clients before settling on a particular client. Mailbird free version gave me the opportunity to test the software for my needs before making an investment. Mailbird was easy to set up. i did have issues with syncing at times, but the help notes gave me a suggested solution and have not had a problem since. Pros I needed to find an offline mail client to access my AOL mail and be able to respond offline to send later. I wanted to have access to my contacts and be able to send group emails, changing groups as needed easily and quickly. Find it a nice desktop alternative and has handy tools. Money well spent! Pros Very handy customisation features. Intuitive interface, simple and tidy layout for a smaller laptop. Lovely integration with select key applications (WhatsApp, Google Calendar) keep me on task and away from my phone during work. Cons The calendar integration could be better. It would be nice to have additional integration beyond a web portal. A mobile app would be nice - other apps are especially dominant there. Downloads from email attachments could be a bit better too.
