Our company was introduced to the Help Desk Migration team for a migration from Desk to Freshdesk. We had a very large database to migrate over: Contacts - 617 519 Organizations - 70 946 Tickets - 760 409 with a minimum of 10 notes in every ticket making a total of 9 Million records to migrate! We had a slight hiccup with the migration however; their technical support team resolved the matter and continued with the migration with no further issues. The team I worked with was fantastic, quick to respond to any questions I had, keeping me up to date and ensuring I knew I could reach out to them with any questions or concerns.

Pros

Ease of use and the exceptional support.

Cons

I had no issues with the migration software.

Pros

The software is easy to use when mapping our fields and migrating our data from Salesforce to Freshdesk. The support team was super helpful in answering my many questions.

Cons

It took a couple of demo migrations to make sure all of the fields were aligned properly.

We had a few hiccups during the migration process so it took longer than expected to complete, however, customer support was available over a holiday weekend (in the US) and were very helpful and made sure we had the migration completed in our planned timeline.

Pros

Mapping the fields from the old helpdesk to the new one was simple. Customer support was very helpful.

Cons

When issues came up, it wasn't always clear on what to do next. We accidentally processed the purchase to complete the migration twice because it wasn't clear that it was processing and we should wait.

The support is the key - migration experiences can be harrowing, especially those that are opaque and use API. The live chat support kept us up to date at all times and helped to move through the two errors we had. The migration was completed overnight and we're up and running on our help desk with our customer history and notes. A+ experience.

Pros

Demo migration was key to proof of concept and setting team's expectations. Great, timely, communicative support. Good value. No brainer for us.

Cons

The auto migration errored out a couple of times. The engineers were on it within minutes and the migration started again.

Pros

It migrated most of the important data we needed, from Intercom to Zendesk, saving us a tremendous amount of time, and the cost was a fraction of what we had been quoted by other similar services.

Cons

There was a hiccup with making a payment, and a "failure" the first time we tried with migration of our conversations. But they got the issue resolved before our fairly tight "go-live" window was over.

Price, customer support, the ability to see a demo of what the migrated data would look like.

Amazing experience - would recommend to anyone needing to migrate ticket data.

Pros

We used this software to move two of our teams from Freshdesk to Helpscout. The software was super easy to use, and made the process really easy. The support team was incredibly responsive, and helped out all along the way - fast to reply each time I had a question.

Cons

There were no cons - they made it really easy!

Did exactly what I needed when moving support desks!

Pros

Once I was ready to actually \*use\* the software, it was very painless to port all my support conversations. Maybe 10 minutes max for a few thousand conversations.

Cons

If you request a price (b/c they don't display this information on their website) via their support form... they will hound you for days about why you haven't tested the demo out.

Reason for choosing Help Desk Migration

Was worth the time savings to not write a custom exporter/importer via API.

Pros

The support and the customization work were exceptional. the product is solid and takes the complex migration process to a new simple level.

Cons

I would love to see more customization options right away. with some sort of interface to drag'n'drop, match and deactivate elements in a very detailed manner. but since the customization work was so great we didn't need it.

Wonderful! They are FAST on their support and very easy to work with. Literally zero waiting during their business hours. I worked with 3 representatives, and they were all very knowledgeable.

Pros

Being able to reference our old Zendesk tickets in Freshservice was a must. This got the job done! The price was far less than what Freshservice wanted to charge. They did a delta import at the end as well.

Cons

I did not find any cons to their product.

Pros

This was by far the easiest way to move our data from one CRM to another. The team provided fantastic service and even suggested ways for us to lower costs.

Cons

Payment is made through a third party website, and took longer than usual to process.

Pros

We moved something like 40k records from Intercom to Help Scout. Seamless setup, and being able to run a sample migration for free went a long way in helping us make our decision. There were a couple hitches in the actual runtime, when we ran the full migration, and their support team was right on hand to tune the backend to suit our specific needs. Hugely grateful. :)

Cons

Not a thing. Super happy. No complaints.

We needed to migrate our Helpdesk from one platform to another and without this service it would have been a complete nightmare. The support team were exceedingly responsive if a little over zealous in their communications at time. I would definitely use them again for another migration.

Pros

We were able to fully test out how the process worked and then easily get the process customised to fit our needs.

Cons

There really were not any issues around the migration so I don't have anything to say.

Great experience. Couldn't recommend them enough. We ended up opting for migrating only the customers and organizations and it came through smoothly. I'm glad we had this option and it has saved us A LOT of time and work.

Pros

Super easy to use. Customer service was great and worked to get me the best solution for my needs

Cons

Full migration was more expensive than I expected, so we opted out, but we also chose to start with a cleaner slate.

We needed to migrated from Desk.com to Zendesk. I found HDM in the Zendesk suggested apps.

Pros

This is the best migration service out there. HMD is very service minded, they kept in contact during the entire migration to make sure everything was 100% .

Cons

I actually didn't found nothing . It is the perfect migration tool , easy to use with stellar support.

Migration from our old Helpdesk software to Zendesk. Assistance in mapping fields to ensure everything came across correctly

Pros

They took care of pretty much everything for us & provided guidance. Our Zendesk has quite a lot of custom pieces in it. HDM was able to provide guidance on the best way to migrate into this.

Cons

A little more documentation about the best way to have custom fields setup and managed in the migration would speed things up. But we had a complicated setup, so wouldn't be relevant to most users.

Support contacted me often, not to be a bother or nag, but to be genuinely helpful.

Pros

Support was the most helpful of any that I've ever seen. Migration was easy and speedy.

Cons

Not everything I wanted could be brought over in the migration, or if more could, it would cost an additional fee (although the extra fee + original fee is less than other companies).

Pros

It was fast and easy to configure our migration, and the best part was being able to quickly run a demo migration to see how it would look. The support team is also very friendly and helpful.

Cons

Not really a con, because I'm very happy with the result and our migration was a bit unique: we were moving between two accounts on the same software so the field mapping required a bit of customization. Pretty sure we're an edge case, and cust support was very helpful with figuring out how to make it happen!

Cons

I didn't realize that archived (older than 40 days and inactive) records would not be transferred, but this isn't really a problem for us. Seemed expensive but was way faster than manually importing via an API.
