It helped us to communicate changes easily with all members of our team. Pros This tool can be used to for product management and roadmapping new development. The interface is modern and easy on the eyes. One handy feature is the ability for anyone to send an email to a specific email-adres and it will end up automatically in the 'Inbox' of ProductBoard. This allows us to restrict the access to the software to only those that need it, while our other employees can still contribute easily. Cons I wish productboard had a mobile app. Especially when I want to capture an Insight away from my desk. Pros One of the stuff that is attractive on productboard is the mix of colors, also the timeline for project management and the possibility to enhance the security with the implementation of SSO with azure/Gsuite and other. Pros There are three things that productboard really helped me a lot. First, it created a workflow for us to process customer feedback. The 'select text from customer feedback / assign to a feature / prioritise' workflow is super helpful. It's easy to use and fast - I can process a lot of customer messages really quickly. Second, after a period of use we now have a map of all the features that our product has. This is in itself a nice bonus. It helps us to see the structure of the product and allows us to identify areas ripe for improvements. Third, it helped us collect feedback from our users via the product portal. This enables our users to have a voice and shape the product roadmap directly. Cons I find it hard to distinguish between objectives and drivers. Perhaps consolidating to one would make sense. It generally makes sense, but isn't 100% intuitive for a new user. - Number of "contributors" (people who can view data, but not edit) is pretty limited at lowest tier, so the product gets expensive quickly Review Source SV Shyam V. What I mean by if used correctly is that the users must keep in mind that they are filling out information and metrics that the actual reporter should have. You are analyzing data and feedback on the client's behalf and my opinion or the teams, should not weigh in so much. Unless of course, they submit feedback that is representative of how they feel. Cons As mentioned above, it is hard sometimes to detach yourself from the feedback you are writing up and often I find myself arriving at a conclusion and then re-editing other feedback. This is by no means a limitation of the software but it might be worth thinking about. I also think that the platform could use better and more screen takeovers and walkthroughs. But experiencing tricky non-transparent billing is just cold shower making the tool same as any other, just half way through to full value. Pros It is for sure well thought through tool. Pros We used to use Airtable and Product Board has been a great switch and we can see the roadmap much easier now. Product Board takes our ideas and makes them actionable. Cons The upvoting features can be difficult to use. We still use Jira for the actual tracking of the engineering work that needs to get done so I wish that some of the Jira features were in product board so we didn't need two solutions. The ability to measure user feedback and tie it directly to features. Pros Extremely well-designed, super user-friendly, and the ability to turn features off / hide them from view means you can keep your workspace pretty minimalist if you want.
