Pros Viedoc is a custom friendly eCRF development platform, where you can customize the placement of fields anywhere as per the requirement, which is not part of any other EDCs. Cons The Design versionning tool. It requires a lot of time if we have to update the EDC with serveral design versions when data are already recorded. There is no alert/notification when a query is answered or closed by sites or another user different from the one who open the query. Sites can unlocked pages which are already monitored and locked, and modify the data without any notifications such is not normal. Not possible to custom visibility condition on common event (if forinstance the instance constate is not signed). Visibility condition is possible between pages in the same visit but not between page from different visits. Would recommend you reach out to our technical support team as some of your observations are things that are in fact supported by default in Viedoc. E.g. sites are definitely not able to change any data that was locked. That would be really bad system design so I am not sure where that observation comes from? Some of the visibility conditions you describe also seem straight forward, so again I recommend reaching out to our tech team. Your suggestion of adding alerts when a query is resolved is interesting. Not always, but on a case by case basis. This would mean that a user while adding a query, apart from being able to define which roles that are allowed to handle the query once resolved (functionality part of the upcoming role based query package) also could choose to decide if he/she would like to be alerted once the query is resolved. November 22, 2022 5.0 Excellent customer service/support and a great value for the product. Pros The software is incredibly easy to use from both the designer and clinician perspectives. This makes it efficient to build, deploy, and train new sites for any study. For small medical device companies, efficiency is key. Cons There may be some advanced features that are available with larger/more expensive EDC systems. However, Viedoc has done a great job incorporating feedback for improvement. One feature that would be nice to add is expanding the customized reporting tools. Currently, any report is possible with some R coding, but it would be great to bring that into the low-code nature of the rest of the platform. PLUS, their team is so flexible with pricing and timing.....that is huge for us and our clients. Pros We have used many EDC systems and we have almost exclusively come to using Viedoc for all our clinical projects both pre market IDEs and post Market studies. The value for the cost and the modern interface were game changers for us and our clinical sites. In addition, I can't say enough about the support from the Viedoc team and the flexibility with pricing and study start up. We work with a lot of smaller clients and their studies are always getting delay or moved due to FDA/Regulatory issues/surprises and not having to be locked into paying at a set time is a huge deal. We recently had a surprise issue come up with an FDA IDE study and the company's roll out of a pilot study got pushed 6 months. The database was built set up and ready to use. However, due to this issue the company couldn't start the study until some other data was gathered. No problem with Viedoc, their team doesn't start billing until the 1st patient is in. Previously that client had used another well known company (that I would love to name) and their billing and ethical practices are so poor that this delay would have cost them real $$. However, they were delighted with Viedoc and their flexibility. In addition, we build the database ourselves and it is easy to build with modern tools and super flexible to customize. And it seems like every time we implement a new DB build, there are a ton of new features. No system is perfect but so far this exceeds our expectations and our clients too! Cons We don't use their CTM system. I think they have done a lot of work on that piece but we have our own in house and it works for our process better. I wish there was a way to customize theirs a bit more. Just a minor comment. Switched from [ClinCapture](https://www.capterra.com/p/133931/ClinCapture/) ClinCapture has got to be one of the most unethical companies I have ever dealt with in my experience in EDC over the past 25 years. Their s/w is decent but their business practices around billing is not flexible and pretty poor. We had a client that got their FDA IDE pilot study pushed by 4 extra months for Covid reasons and we (Client and our team) asked to extend the contract. We were told it would only be extended for a minimum of a year. So, we flipped the database to Viedoc for the remaining 4 months. However, in the meantime, ClinCapture auto renewed the contract for 12 months and ClinCapture is demanding payment. In the legal process now. And I wish this was the only story I have related to their business practices but it isn't. Viedoc is just so easy to work with in terms of flexibility. Viedoc are continually improving all the time to make the EDC designer’s, with minimum knowledge of programming, life easy and the system is also increasing more functionalities to cover the clinical research activities. The cross-functionality team are also able to work together in one system, in Viedoc Clinic, and the sponsor can see the study status with a glance. As a data manager, I was able to design forms quickly, on my own, thanks to the helpful eLearning documentation and videos. The support team and the Viedoc team in general are responsive and professional. The system is constantly improving with regular updates which is not the case with all systems. Cons Managing the roles and rights associated with a specific design is difficult. We often need to add roles or change specific rights during the course of a study and creating a new version of the design (with the impact on data management that this entails) is restrictive. Importing a list of users based on an excel template could be a time saver for user creation. Agree with you on roles, a tip from the coach is to double check the roles needed incl. the user rights before the trial starts, this will save you some extra work. Pros Viedoc is easy to work with. We train sites in the use of the software and it is very easy to train trial staff. The software gives very good overview of schedule of events. Cons eTMF is not very userfriendly. Very difficult to find the correct artifact. Difficult to get an overview of what documents still missing in the database. Reason for choosing Viedoc Company has used Viedoc for many years. We did look at alternative products when we swithed to Viedoc 4, but ended up with the implementation of Viedoc 4. From a data manager’s point of view, I can say that the clinical teams’ compliance to data recording is very good. Pros We are a growing startup company, in the midst of a FIH clinical study for an innovative medical device in the field of heart failure management. Thanks to previous experience with building eCRFs and data management we chose to build the eCRF and manage the data ourselves. However due to the fact that we were unfamiliar with Viedoc, the guidance and support of the Viedoc team was needed. Luckily, the support team is made out of professional lovely people guiding us for over 18 months now, and their response time is amazingly quick. The eDC system itself is very reliable and it is user-friendly for both the clinical sites (European territories) and for us (being easy to design and administrate).
