Pros You can program eCRF by yourself if needed and in a short time. Cons As new features have been added into the system it is getting slower. For example, refreshing Viedoc Reports in Viedoc Admin, sites administration, in Designer printing the study documentation like annotated CRFs, workflows. Especially, when we have 'big' studies, and popular time points on a day when 'everybody' is working with Viedoc. Biometrics Project Manager Research Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Well-designed and user-friendly eCRF " February 3, 2022 5.0 Overall, Viedoc is a very well-design and user-friendly eCRF that fulfills most of our needs as a CRO. Whenever we are facing an issue, the Viedoc support is always very helpful, which is very much appreciated by our team. Pros I find Viedoc very user-friendly. I experience that once the site users are trained, the questions we reecieve from them are limited. The eLearning is very detailed and includes a lot of pictures making it easy to follow. The step-for-step guidelines in the eLearning can easily by shared with the sites that are facing troubles with data entry. The ViedocMe application is a great addition to the eCRF Clinic allowing the subject to fill in electronic questionnaires. From a designer perspective, I think it is quick to set up a study and possible to design the eCRF to fill your study specific needs. It is easy to configure the data checks to limit data entry errors and I think it is very helpful to be able to configure visibility of forms and visits, so that not everything is visible at once. The Viedoc Reports function is appreciated. It is comprehensive and makes it easy to review data. Cons It would sometimes be more convenient if we could edit the settings for user roles without having to do a new design. If the roles configuration were moved to Global Settings, it is easier to do quick updates. The thing that it is not possible to link Concomitant Medications to Medical History and/or Adverse Event is a big downside. This is one of the features that I have missed the most. But it is my understanding that this feature will come in the next release. From a study manager/Data manager perspective, it can be difficult to troubleshoot ViedocMe issues. It may seem straight forward but we do face that Investigators don't know how to check if the email or phone number has been set up correctly or whether the Reminders have been enabled. It would also be nice, if the email/phone reminders for ViedocMe users could be edited (text and frequency) without updating the design. In many studies, we experience low compliance with the ViedocMe forms. An eLearning within the application has been requested by several customers. The entire Viedoc community is probably waiting for this feature and it will be a great addition to the data collection and cleaning process. Improved support for trouble shooting if email and/or text messages have been sent is also an upcoming feature. I also wonder why it is not famous with all the sponsors and Pharma companies inspite of being so capable of handling complex clinical trials. Pros Economic, All the features are available (Unblinded randomization, Data import, ePRO, Alerts, RTSM, logistics), Easy for all the users such as study setup, conduct and analysis. Cons 1\. This will give you a list of all forms that are still not upgraded to the latest revision. Please remember that just because someone from the site has approved an upgrade doesn't mean all forms are in fact upgraded (as some forms can be locked etc). Especially since we can run the software as a service completely self-sufficiently with our eSolutions department and do not depend on others to set up and customize the system for the projects. This makes us independent and flexible - two qualities we consider essential when working with our biotech and medtech customers. I work with several systems and now have a good comparison. Value for money is unbeatable at Viedoc. The design of the software is also very appealing for the end user and what I particularly noticed about Viedoc is that the end users of our studies at Viedoc hardly need a helpdesk compared to other systems, which speaks for itself. Pros I love the user interface, it is so simple and intuitive that there are hardly any errors to be expected. In the designer role, building an eCRF is playful and so easy that it's a lot of fun. The design validation is a huge help, errors generated are caught immediately and it is impossible to publish a design that contains hard errors. This saves the designer a lot of time looking for errors. Cons When adding users, I miss the automated process to add users faster. You can already invite several users, but you still have to assign roles manually. It would be nice if you could think of a solution there, in the sense of ready-made lists that you could upload there. So that you could upload users with their associated roles directly. In addition, all of our team members, including DM, ClinOps etc. in GLC and also, very important site staff, are amazed by the completeness of applications and features that Viedoc provides to cover all our needs. No matter how complex the clinical study is, ViedocV4 always makes our working process seamless and smooth. Furthermore, Viedoc’s support team is always helpful and practical, ensuring maximum performance wherever and wherever we run our study. The price is also affordable. We were not charged license fees until after our study started, and there were no unexpected charges, which was a plus. Cons The medical coding feature is waiting to be complete by adding the 'medical coding proving' ability. If the way of integration with other apps can be improved, that would be really great. For each release a highlights video is published and documentation containing all the information needed to fulfill regulatory expectations is updated. We only need to validate our study configuration against the study protocol requirements. Pros My overall experience with Viedoc is great, because it contains not only features for collection of clinical trial, but also supports us and other users with features, such as randomization, supply management, data review, source data verification, reference range management, medical coding, reporting, user training and certification. I like the Viedoc Reports application that gives a quick overview of the study progress and performance. Cons The overview of assigned study design versions and applied revisions could be improved. In addition to this, the training of site staff including PI's are fast, effective and effortless, as Viedoc is the most uncomplicated EDC platform ever experienced by Novotech and sites alike. Site staff as the number one client in terms of end user, find Viedoc very ease of use and navigate. This should be one of key factors and selling points when it comes to EDC platforms. Viedoc ticks all the boxes for Novotech and site staff. From a design perspective, we managed to save time by using libraries and the overall ease of designing complicated forms makes Viedoc a leader in EDC. Edit check programming is very powerful and advanced checks is also possible with ease and basic programming skills. The close relationship with the senior management at Viedoc as well as their developers, is unheard of in the EDC service industry. Pros The building of studies are easy to use and very user friendly. It is easy to onboard new users and is easy to understand and navigate. Newer versions are making it easier to do more complex functions and the reusability is getting a lot easier. Cons The extracts are bit of a challenge. The SAS code supplied with data extracts does not always work so a more advanced version was needed in order to convert the data into SAS datasets. Pros Viedoc Designer is very convenient to use for both initial study design and subsequent changes. Viedoc Clinic offers a well structured interface, easy access to data for review. Data exports offer a variety of options for specific data and different formats. Cons All major features work well. However, there are a few minor improvements I would like to see: The Data Review console for each subject in Viedoc Clinic jumps back to the top every time I interact with it, which can be frustrating in studies with more events/forms. In Viedoc Designer, implementing changes can become complicated with Revised versions, when there is data entered on several different major (fully customizable) versions - a new Revised version must be created for each major version. The system (regardless of the version) is really user friendly. On each project, I've been amazed by the flexibility and the agility of PCG team. With Viedoc 4, there is some area for improvement regarding the reporting features. From a clinical management perspective, it could be usefull to run report on missing data (confirmed or not) including on non initiated forms. Another area for improvement is related to efficient management of EDC training during the whole lifecycle of a study. I know that PCG is thinking about the possibility to have remote training done through short videos and I think that is a great idea! Due to the complexity of the study I run, there was some issues regarding the performance of the system (complaint regarding the speediness). PCG was very reactive. A corrective action plan was immediately implemented which resulted in an improvement of system's performance. I'm impatient to discover the next features to be released with the next up-grades of Viedoc 4 (such as possibility to generate the monitoring reports on the system)! Pros user friendly, flexible tool, very reactive and agile support Cons reporting features could be improved (i.e. possibility to run report on missing forms/data). I can see that the company is actively working on developing their products to meet the needs with the developing digitalization and decentralization of clinical trials. Pros Viedoc is very easy to use and it fulfills all the necessary criteria needed for data capture in clinical trials. It enables integration with other systems when needed. The eTMF/eISF are very welcome features that were released during 2021 and we are already using features that enable decentralized study activities successfully. The design of the eCRF through Viedoc Designer team was excellently supervised and our requests were always met in a solution-oriented manner. Viedoc also offers the possibility to create eCRFs in a company administrated organization instance. The elearnig section is very well equipped with video tutorials and use cases. Cons Working in Viedoc using different roles as one person leads to many different tabs, so you have to jump from one window to another. In a few cases, however, it could also be an advantage. The design, UAT and start up processes allow us to get to study start faster and with less cost than other systems. The system's intuitive and attractive interface makes it easy for users to come up to speed in a short amount of time. On the backend, the available data management tools are helpful during the study and quite sound for managing final study data. Cons The need to jump in and out of the AE, Conmed and Med History pages to find sequence numbers for related items is inconvenient. Also, the lack of autopopulation for Conmeds from the WHO Drug dictionary is also inconvenient, although I understand that may not be an issue in PCG's control. Easy to use, open for built in java scripts to run it in a more advanced way. Easy to get support for all kinds of question. Professional and friendly staff. Cons Small errors, can somtimes take time to get smaller changes done. API integration needs more work and is interesting. Maybe more in reports could be customized or maybe there should be a place where you could share R script for use in reports and outside Viedoc for reporting. Data export is very simple and a lot of simple automatic edit checks can be programmed directly in the eCRF. Cons The Query management module is not usefull at all. Impossible to select a query from the research field with key words, impossible to navigate between several forms when an edit check is related to more than one form. The time entered as greater than 23:59 are automatically replaced by the system instead of flagged as erroneous. " April 13, 2017 5.0 To often, eDC systems are designed primarily for Data managers, with the clinical site user ( who performs most of the work) as an afterthought. We have used Viedoc on dozens of studies and have received many unsolicited comments from site users such as "Viedoc is the easiest to use and navigate eDC system we have ever used.. " or "We are performing another study using a different eDC system and it takes us twice as long to enter subject data and answer queries.. we are recommending to the sponsor that they should use Viedoc for their next study... seriously." As far as all the features that data managers and CRAs expect, they are available in Viedoc and just as easy to use.. When evaluating a eDC system, never equate ease of use as a lack of functionality. With Viedoc you can have both. Pros Ease of setup even for complex studies . Highly easy to navigate interface for users. Fast performance. Cons Nothing of any consequence.
