The designer can set up forms in parallel with the definition of edit checks performed by the programmer; in addition, it is very easy to set up the eCRF by personnel with minimal programming knowledge. Thanks to e-learnings, available for all activities and detailed with pictures and videos, navigating the system is very easy as is the use of all the necessary features. A complex protocol will never be a problem to solve in Viedoc. We hope you feel the release of the coding editor was helpful. Pros The ease of developing forms and study is good. It can be updated with a lot of automation for more quicker and faster development. Pros I found the system to be colorful and provided an easy layout design. Cons I didn't particularly like the design based upon the clinical trial I was directly involved with. I found the diary entries to be tedious and could be more user friendly. Also, I think updating/answering queries could be easier and have less sensitivity. Review Source MO Margreet O. Used the software for: ### "Flexible and user-friendly, highly effective" March 28, 2017 4.0 As a small CRO in the orphan niche, we don't need all the bells and whistles (and the corresponding pricing model!). What we do need is a flexible and user-friendly EDC solution, that allows us to adequately capture the data for our small (in terms of subject numbers) but often highly complex clinical trials for which every data-point matters. The expertise from the PCG solutions staff is a great support when designing effective data capture solutions. Our trials are often run by site staff that is not seasoned in the use of EDC systems, the Viedoc interface and the flow through the visits with the smart dynamics really helps them to adequately enter good quality data with minimal training efforts. Setting up integrations for lab data can be a challenge, in our experience Viedoc is certainly capable to load results from not only the large central labs, but also from the small specialty labs, reducing the number of external datasets and streamlining the downstream programming. As an enhancement there is room for improvement on the display overrides (visibility conditions for visits/forms/items/roles) and the management of local lab normal ranges. The current workarounds do the trick, but can be cumbersome when it comes to updates. Being an EDC system and not a full blown IMP management the system adequately covers the basic functionalities, but it is limited when it comes to more complex randomization, stratification and (re)supply management strategies. We had a staggered onboarding with several trials as 'pilot' at the same time as defining all standards and how we want to work with Viedoc going forward. Pros I like the forms functionality and the standard report functions. It is easy to design the forms and the visibility conditions makes it easy for the users to complete the CRFs. Cons We need to be able to assign subjects to partiel SDV in a risk-based approach. Currently Viedoc cannot adjust the individual SDV level for a subject or site but only on overall trial level. Interface design is not only good looking : it offers large capabilities in terms of dynamism. Main weak point is the lack of adhoc on-line reporting. Quality/cost ratio is excellent and team is constantly improving the tool. Pros user interface design capabilities Cons Lack of on line reporting (only some metrics are available) Issue performance on our biggest trial (but huge work is ongoing to improve this). Edit check programming is compelling and accessible. Randomization features (with the ability to stratify) and study logistics are incredible. The ability to restrict access to data depending on the role in the study is also a very convenient thing, especially if the study is double-blind. The patient and trial site overview was not clear. Pros Very easy and quick SDV (just 1 click). It loads quickly and you can easily switch between forms. The colouring with the locks and makes it very easy to see where queries are still open or can be closed. It is also very good that you can switch between test and live mode within the study and can also change roles very easily in the test environment. I also find the integration of training materials and the confirmation of the training very good. Cons The overview of patients and centres is not really clear. The messages are not marked as "read" so that supposedly unread messages accumulate. If 1 item was changed within a form, the SDV was removed from the entire form, so it had to be revalidated.
