At the time, I preferred WordPerfect, but WordPerfect has stagnated over the years, whereas Word has continued to evolve. Pros WordPerfect is a full featured word processing program that has been around for decades. It has excellent features for creating legal documents. It's Reveal Codes feature makes it much easier to find obscure code errors than doing so in MS Word. The Oxford Dictionary included with the suite is very helpful. It also includes hundreds of quality fonts. Cons Unfortunately, Microsoft Office vastly outsells WordPerfect Office, which means that exchanging document files with others can be problematic. Conversions are good on letters and other simple documents, less so with complex formatted documents such as legal pleadings. Alternatives considered [Microsoft 365](https://www.capterra.com/p/227157/Microsoft-365/) Reasons for choosing WordPerfect Office I use MS Office when interchanging documents with others who use MS Office, but use WordPerfect for my own documents. I understood the symbols, the ability to take things offline to see the code and edit that way. It even showed the number of spaces between words or letters. I was sad to see it disappear. Pros The ease of use. It was a beautiful, usable, working product. It looked good and worked smoothly. In fact, at the time, I though WordPerfect was better performing, looked better than Word. Cons It was early in my computing career, so it is hard to remember. I honestly don't recall anything that didn't work well. I suppose the only thing is that it wasn't in the Microsoft Office Suite. Grammar check and spelling are quickly and easily fixed and there are so many different options to make each project yours. Pros I like the amount of different settings and customization this has compared to Microsoft Word and Note. They make editing very easy. Cons I didnt like the fact that you have to dig for a lot of settings and go thru several sub menus to get to a lot of options instead of having shortcuts near the front screen. Pros Everything. There is nothing I don't love about this program. It creates simplicity or you can make it complicated and full of amazing things. Easy to use, easy to store and a must have. Cons There are no cons I have ever experienced. The newest user can use it and any experienced upper lever employee will never run out of useful things it can offer.
