It is indispensable in my business and personal daily operations. Pros Google docs, even as a free product without any cost, has a simple interface, with intuitive control menu and distribution of formatting. Any bugs are easily resolved/noticeable through the community blogs. It's versatile for daily use- casual note taking, or as formal meeting minutes with good integration with other google products and super easy to share and collaborate with other users. friendly access with generous cloud storage as well. Cons I love Google Docs. Honestly, it is hard to find a feature I don't like or see missing. I would love to have the auto - read feature present across all documents though- I saw and used it earlier and it was pretty cool. Then it disappeared. I hope Google brings it back for free tier users soon. My copywriting coach has also shown me how to effectively turn it into an instant web page, which is cool. It’s easy to turn anything into a PDF with Google Docs and it’s also great for having an editor review your copy. Cons Honestly, nothing comes to mind. I love that I can now divide larger documents into tabs and view documents in the "pageless" format. The toggle headings also make longer documents easier to manage by being able to hide away sections. Cons As much as I like the overall functionality of the toggle headings once a document is finished, writing a doc with them is kind of annoying. Perhaps there are keyboard shortcuts I'm unaware of, but I often find myself having to close a section and then click below it to start a new section, instead of simply hitting Enter twice to get out of the previous section. It's also difficult to make documents that truly look visually appealing. The tabs helped me write my PhD dissertation with organization and ease, allowing me to click on the different sections and chapters without getting lost in a super-long document. It saved me time by letting me jump quickly from my Literature Review to my Methodology section without having to scroll through 20+ pages to get there. I also appreciated not having to worry about losing my work if the battery died on my laptop, since it auto-saved to the cloud, and I could access my dissertation from different devices and locations. There's never a concern about version control, and I can look back at previous versions if we remove text or graphics we later want back. I love the AI assistance in writing, which makes anyone write like a pro and I love that you can download any Google Doc as a pdf, Ms Word or any other format you want. This is a game changer for me as sometimes I need to edit the document in Google Docs and Download it as a pdf or any other format. It's also easy to lock your documents if you want to share with anyone but not giving them full editing access rights. Pros Since we are a Google Suite user, Google Docs has made document creation and management easier. I'm my role, I create and edit documents daily and if I didn't have Google Docs, it would take more time and effort to create and manage documents. Pros Its free, easy to use, provides real-time updates (automatic saving and cloud access), and excellent for collaboration. Furthermore, there very few bugs and issues and works offline. I like how it can also be accessible form any device. It's also very easy to access and doesn't require external apps. Cons Google Docs doesn't have the draw feature, other advance formatting and layout tools compared to other word processors. Furthermore, it does offer minor grammar error assistance and nothing else to help the writer. The customer service is also hard to reach.
