### "Excellent option for remote and collaborative work"

October 25, 2018

5.0

I have been using for a long time, extensively. I have used other collaborative platforms and none has been near Google Docs in many of the aspects described in this review.

Pros

Very good performance (saves after each keystroke), 100% reliable, never offline. It has most of the important functionalities than offline office suites with the plus of the collaborative ones: history of the versions, commenting, editing, suggesting mode (this last one is awesome). Suggestions ("explore") on Presentations are very useful also.

Cons

Spreadsheets needed some improvements, but they seem to have been added recently: transposed pasting, text rotation (I swear it wasn't there but now it is!). The only thing that happened to me was when editing in team, simultaneously, spreadsheets failed to record some of the inputs. Perhaps there should be a warning when there are many people editing, alerting for possible fails.

### "I Will Forever Use Google Docs!!!"

July 2, 2021

5.0

Overall, my experience with Google Docs has been nothing short of highly satisfied! I will continue to use this software for years to come.

Pros

What I like most about Google Docs is the simplicity of its software and how easy it is to understand how everything works. I have always used Google Docs, especially while I was in school, and would be able to easily find the documents that I created in the past. I am able to work on documents with others through the collaboration tool, and can view my documents on any device. A very simple and convenient software that everyone should be using!

Cons

There is absolutely nothing that I like least about Google Docs. For my purposes of creating, editing, and printing documents, it doesn’t lack anything at all.

### "Easily Accessible for all and is easy to use and share"

October 20, 2020

4.0

I had a good experience using Google docs as per the requirement of some clients affiliated with the free and paid addons which can be used with Google Docs. But I still am more comfortable using the offline software as they have lower requirements and have more features to play with.

Pros

The software is free to use and is very simple to configure. You just need a Gmail account to set it up. It gives free storage and any kind of Microsoft document can be easily opened here. The written files are easy to share with others. I have seen different add-ons along with documents we can use them to improve the quality of work. I have used SEMrush writing assistant, speak to write feature, Grammarly and many more. Google Docs is a very good alternative of offline software from Microsoft Word, excel etc, if they are malfunctioning or not opening. If there is any kind of error you get while opening them for work and they don't open and you are in a hurry then you can just open up google docs and use it online for work.

Cons

It is an online software and you need a consistent internet connection to save your file automatically. There are chances that the whole data will be lost if you are unaware that you are not connected to internet while working and have shut down the system after work. Google sheets and document writing tool still does not have so many features like MS word and MS Excel. It requires good internet connection and is heavy it consumes a lot of system memory. Slows down the old systems and consumes a lot of bandwidth. So, for some people it is not an ideal choice.

### "Google docs for documentation on the go"

May 28, 2019

5.0

Independant documentation and presentation/logging in meetings on the go is solved using this software. It is easy to share across the peers if needed and also could be edited and formatted with ease online. The cloud based system is advantageous in business owing to this freedom.

Pros

The ability to document on the go with the cloud save integration is what attracts me to Google docs. I do technical documentation on a daily basis and use several computers across locations including my own personal computer. To access from any location and to continue editing/formatting from a common platform is a real need which is solved by Google docs.

Cons

Just like any other cloud based platform which started with a stand alone offline computer application, this software also lacks options that are available offline for documentation. However, a the necessary and basic requirements are still met which is good enough for not the go needs.

### "Writing, Sharing, and Collaborating."

September 15, 2021

5.0

Pros

With Google Docs it's easy to share documents between multiple people and is easy to use. You can also give them access to seeing the document or being able to edit.

Cons

Overall there's really nothing bad for me to say about Google Docs. You're able to work offline if you wish and then things update in real time if you and a collaborator are working on the same file at the same time.

### "The best way to share your docs"

April 10, 2020

5.0

It has changed the way of working on docs completely. Before we use to send several emails with files attached, wait for changes from each colleague, send hundreds of final versions, and it would take for ever. Now with only one link we can all collaborate on the same file and comment on each others changes.

Pros

I really love working with Google Docs, it is the easiest way to share docs with your colleagues. Once you have shared your file, you can make changes as much as you want and the people you shared it with will always see the latest version. Without it you would need to send a new file everytime you make a change. Also all your colleagues can collaborate, modify, comment, or highlight in the file. Best part? There is a saved History! So you can check all modifications and the user who made them. This is great to track down any mistakes made on the file.

Cons

There is not much to say here. I have used Google Docs for years and never had a problem with it. The only thing that can be annoying sometimes is when working with weak internet connection. It may not save your changes.

### "Google Docs Review"

September 26, 2018

5.0

Docs is not for everyone, despite the lack of robust features, I really like using Docs and in fact, prefer it over Word all because of its simplicity and over the cloud usage and integration with Google Drive.

Pros

Overall, Google Docs gets the job done. I really like that you can easily save and open documents on the cloud and that it allows you to work from anywhere, even from your cellphone! The option to export your document to many formats, including .docx, is just incredible. For more advanced users, just like Word, Google Docs allows you to create macros using its own programming language, of course.

Cons

There are some downsides to Google Docs and one of them is the interface. It could use a few more features in order to convince someone to actually make the switch from Word to Docs. I often find myself looking for long periods of time for features that I would normally find in seconds in Word.

### "Edit documents on the go with no compatibility issue across platform"

February 25, 2019

5.0

Great like other google products. A big yes to the product.

Pros

It facilitates collaboration between team members which may be students, teachers, sales team, writers or any group of people performing together. I use it for writing assignments vide which writing team go on adding content and I review the content, add content and we interact through other documents prepared on the google doc itself. Versatile document formats with no compatibility issue is the other aspect which I liked much about it. You have many features such as sharing documents and controlling its access type, which is great. You can get your narrations typed in suitable format which is good for people on the go. I mark it as a must have item for teams.

Cons

The interaction with teams members with slow internet connectivity speed is a challenge as update is based on the online updating of the documents.

### "A solid online data share system for all teams. "

July 23, 2023

5.0

Google Docs is easy to pick up, but it can have a learning curve to it. If you don't train your team the basics, it's easy to get lost in what it can offer for productivity.

Pros

What I like most about Google Docs is it's easy to use, good UI, and it's free.

Cons

The thing I like least about Google docs is stored data has a limit. I wish they would give a warning if stored files were going to expire or need to be backed up.

### "Docs for collaboration work"

October 4, 2019

4.0

I’m using google docs for about 2+ years. Ost of my word processing works are done in google docs and they have been backed up there. We use it for information collecting and other collaboration works.

Pros

We can access google docs anywhere any time and from any device. (most of the devices supports google docs.) It allows us to work in collaboration. All the members signed in can work at the same time. So, no one want to wait for the other. Valuable time can be saved. And we can change the access levels of the users. Google Docs is straight forward and easy to learn and use. If we have an experience with some word processing software, we just need to learn a bit to use google docs. The software is compatible with document written in other software. So, users do not have to rewrite them. Importing and exporting thins is extremely easy and straightforward. It saves our work automatically in cloud. We don’t need to worry anymore about that. The service is free to use. There is no need to install software on local machine. We can work online in a browser.

Cons

If there is no internet, we can’t access the application or our documents. The functions and features are limited compared to the offline versions. The themes and the interface are basic.

### "A Must Have for Every Business"

October 13, 2020

5.0

Overall, it's a fabulous product. Versatile, light, relatively easy to use. Extremely easy to share with others which puts it head and shoulders above other competing products. It's ubiquitous which makes it the best go-to-solution when working with dispersed teams.

Pros

I love pretty much like everything about Google Docs. It's fast and easy, plus everything is backed up to the cloud. I have a reassurance that all my work is safe and saved. I love the fact that can easily share links to a page with others, which allows you to work collaboratively. There's version control without saving multiple copies of the document (timesaver) and you can easily link it to other applications within the GSuite family of products.

Cons

It doesn't have all the features and functions of Microsoft Word, but I've learned to live without it. The few times that Google has been down over the years has made all my files inaccessible. If that's a concern, have an alternative backup solution.

Reason for choosing Google Docs

I do still use Microsoft Word but very seldom. It's kind of a hassle and you have to pay a lot of money to maintain a monthly or annual subscription. Google Docs is a much better alternative.

### "Everything!"

Over-all, when it comes to needing a place to form documents, Google Docs is the ONLY place to go. It has all the tools that you need to succeed.

Pros

I love the fact that Google Docs is free! Especially compared to MS Word, its a lot easier to use and to edit. The fact that is stores to your Google Drive is the best thing about it. You're able to work on a project no matter where you are. So any last minuet ideals or edits, your able to just pull out your laptop of phone and do what you need to do.

### "Google Docs is the Future"

September 12, 2018

5.0

Google Docs is setting the bar for the future in document writing software.

Pros

Google Docs has come a long way and its become an essential in business and in life. Google Docs is pretty much Microsoft Word on the cloud, which is huge. There's nothing I haven't had to use Word for that I couldn't use Google Docs for. Being able to share and add notes to a document with a team is awesome. Having your documents saved as part of your google account as also pretty awesome . You can log in from anywhere in the world from any device and you'll have all of your documents ready to go. You should never be needing to use flash drives to store or transfer documents. Google support is topnotch as well and integration with other google products is convenient. And on top of that, it's all free!

Cons

Nothing that I can think of. If you're not using Google Docs you're missing out.

### "The best software for the team that's always moving and changing"

October 9, 2020

5.0

I use Google Docs for everything. Creating forms, logs, if you can imagine it on paper, Google Docs can create it.

Pros

The ability to share across the company, regardless of where the user is (California, Washington, Canada). My entire staff always knows the status of any sale just by logging on to an active and dynamic spreadsheet that updates as fast as you can type and hit 'Enter.'

Cons

If I had to say something, it's not Excel, and that's just because this is asking for a least. There's NO DOWNSIDE to this program for most users.

Reason for choosing Google Docs

Multi user support AT THE SAME TIME!!!! I cannot stress how important it is to have the ability to know when anyone is in the document making changes. Smartsheets only becomes shareable after you save it. I can tell who is looking at what cell and watch them make edits, LIVE. Did I mention they offer all of this for a very low cost?

### "Best way to collaborate on a document"

November 23, 2018

4.0

I would guess that 95% of all documents created in my office are created with Google Docs. Whether it's a final product that needs to be reviewed by a supervisor, or a shared document that is collaboratively built, we've continued to move more and more of our document creation to Google Docs.

Pros

Google Docs is the best option for collaboration on a word document among team members. It is easy to share links or grant permissions, which immediately provides colleagues with access to edit or comment on a shared document.

Cons

This is not going to be the most robust word processing tool ever. Especially compared to Microsoft Word, its formatting features are severely lacking. In the past few years Google has continued to add features but at the end of the day, you still can't right-click to copy and paste. (Why!?) If creating a flyer or complicated document with a variety of formatting, Word is probably still your best bet.

I really enjoy it. There was a modest learning curve at first (coming from Word exclusively), but it's become rather easy to use and enjoyable overall.

Pros

Cons

### "Google Docs - Efficient & Free!"

December 26, 2018

5.0

Pros

\-It's free. You can't beat free. -So much storage space! You can save space on your PC. -As far as I know, there's not a limit on how many folders you can create. Perfect for perfectionists and people who love heavy, in-depth categorization of documents. -Used by many college and university students as an alternative to USB drives, external hard drives, etc. for document storage

Cons

\-Quality of uploaded images and digital art that appears in .png, .pdf, or .jpg form is subject to lose HD resolution & it's original quality post-upload. If you're a photographer, graphic artist, or web designer, this can prove to be a nuisance. -Slow upload speed, especially when uploaded .wav, .mp3, & .mov files -Certain common file formats will ocassionally appear as unviewable, sometimes all you need to do is refresh your web browser to see a preview of your work.

### "This is the only doc sharing platform you should use."

August 31, 2021

5.0

Google really figured it out with Google Docs. Type docs.new into your URL bar and you will create a new Google Doc. You can easily share or keep the doc private. It's a great way to track your notes, projects, tasks, or documents that you need for work/personal/life. Great mobile app too.

Pros

This is the best doc sharing and collaborative online platform. It's way better than Sharepoint. It's smarter, easier to use, and just a great way to work with a team on any document or spreadsheet or presentation. Google Drive nailed it.

Cons

I have ZERO complaints about this platform.

### "Google Docs- a simple solution for document sharing and word editing"

April 2, 2020

5.0

It's ability to share documents with other google accounts is good for team project. Google Docs has helped me successfully editing my text and make them clear and understandable to the reader. Google docs make my work organisation very good and easy , I simply love and recommend it.

Pros

I started using google docs about 2 years ago and ever since it has given me countless benefits . I use it on a daily basis mainly for text editing as well as sharing documents . Google docs is free , reliable and secure and has helped me in effectively managing and organising my work. A single document can be edited by multiple people at once thus saving a lot of time. It is also easy to leave a comment and tag people in them when wanting to do a remark. It also offers incredible features like voice writing , which saves you from typing but rather you speak and it automatically types for you. Google docs also offers templates which makes your work easier and ideas on how to create a good document. It has support for PCs , Android or IOS devices and browsers.

Cons

It's voice typing is not always accurate , this requires improvement for the application to work more efficiently. Another drawback is lack of font support , which limits me to few fonts to use. Apart from those two , Google docs works very perfectly.

### "Amazing"

December 30, 2019

5.0

I love it. I am able to review and comment on my son's homework, review my office documents from a remote location, and get feedback, all at the same time. This allows me to be very flexible, and helps me stay organized. And best of all, I don't have to pay a dime. MS office suite for person use can be very expensive. While students can get it for free, it is something that is hard to get if you don't have a student at home. I have used it since it was launched and have seen it grow and improve over time. Highy recommend.

Pros

The free availability. I have been in situations where I had no access to a licensed MS Word document. I had no way of getting a word processing software. Having google docs for free where I am able to work anywhere, share documents, and collect feedback is brilliant! As a teacher, I used it as a place for students to create and share documents. I can see the document history, which helps me figure out if there is plagiarism involved. It also helps me to identify if the assignment was submitted late. And the fact that you can't change the created and edited date, students couldn't trick me! Love, love, love!

Cons

Nothing major at this point. There are some differences in how options are organized as compared to a regular MS word, but the fact that google docs are free and is so collaborative, I wouldn't consider that a negative.

### "Excellent app for anything from students, teachers, family, and small businesses "

December 28, 2018

5.0

We have been using Google Docs for quite a long time and started using more frequently in recent years. It helps us a lot to communicate, tracking and sending task/works. Totally free and super easy to use.

Pros

1\. It is free for everybody and super easy to use with a simple sharing link for all recipients. 2. The advantage from Google cloud, that we can share the tasks with all team members and all devices can log-in for reviewing or editing. 3. Excellent features, including normal and common task as Microsoft Office, copy/paste/insert an image/photo files, can import/export in multiple formats, integrates with Microsoft Office. 4. Simple, nice design and visualization and good templates included.

Cons

Not so many cons, but there is one common issue when we do the offline editing or any trouble with the internet connection will leading to addition works to screen the impacted file/tasks again.

### "Share and Easily Access your Docs Online"

February 1, 2019

5.0

I use it daily since we need to share documents in the organization. It serves its purpose on a minimal level that's why we will continue using it.

Pros

Ease of use and ease of access - all the functionality available in the Desktop version is available in this online version. Google Docs is easily accessible remotely no matter where you are. This is pretty much the major reason is to use it. Easily share with other users and invite other users. One is able to invite other users to edit the document and their edits are marked with a specific color. Which really comes in handy when you want to see each person's edits. Download in different formats. Once a document is ready you can easily download the file in different formats.

Cons

The UI is sort of disappointing - for a company like Google that is known for their brilliant Material Design, the UI for Google Docs is really disappointing.
