### "5 Star ... 10 years ago "

April 21, 2026

3.0

I expected more, especially with all the time they have had since releasing this. It's the slow disappointing fizzle after the fireworks show.

Pros

It's great at the autosaving and shared editing and viewing options, and it's an essential item for most collaboration projects with working documents. It's great for personal use, academic, professional, anything.

Cons

It has changed very little in the last decade, and this product could have become so much more. It could be easier, have more options for text/voice and accessibilities, or allowed for more customization, anything but sit stagnant. What happened, Google?

### "Easy-to-Use and Great for Collaboration"

April 28, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Google Docs has been very positive. It’s a reliable and user-friendly tool for creating, editing, and sharing documents. It works well for both individual tasks and team collaboration, especially in educational and work settings. While there are a few minor limitations, the convenience and accessibility make it a great option for everyday use.

Pros

Google Docs is very easy to use and makes collaboration simple. I like that multiple people can work on the same document at the same time, and changes save automatically so there’s no risk of losing work. It’s accessible from any device with internet, which makes it convenient for both personal and professional use. The sharing and commenting features are especially helpful for teamwork.

Cons

Sometimes formatting can be inconsistent, especially when importing documents from other programs like Microsoft Word. It can also lag or freeze when working on large documents or with many collaborators at once. Offline access isn’t always seamless, and some advanced features available in other programs are limited.

I switched from Microsoft Word to Google Docs because I needed something more accessible and easier for collaboration. Google Docs allows me to work from any device without needing to install software, and I can share documents and collaborate with others in real time. The automatic saving and cloud storage also make it more convenient and reliable for my day-to-day work.

### "Solid and Simple, But Could Use a Few Tweaks"

December 22, 2025

5.0

Overall, my experience with Google Docs has been pretty solid! It's a super convenient tool for writing, whether it's for school, personal projects, or working with others. I love how easy it is to collaborate—being able to see everyone's edits in real-time is such a game-changer for group work. Plus, it’s cloud-based, so I can access my documents from any device without worrying about saving them manually. That said, I do wish it had a bit more advanced features when it comes to formatting and design, like Microsoft Word does. And while it’s mostly reliable, sometimes it can get slow with larger files. But overall, for something that’s free and accessible, it’s hard to beat.

Pros

I love how simple Google Docs is. It’s easy to start writing, and the auto-save feature is a lifesaver. No more worrying about losing my work!

Cons

Sometimes the formatting doesn’t stay consistent, especially when copying and pasting from other sources. It can mess up the layout.

### "The best budget-friendly alternative to Word!"

December 9, 2025

4.0

I use Google Docs every day in my Project Management role because it’s efficient, easy to organize, and has a clean, polished interface compared to Word. Would recommend to any professional who doesn’t want to spend a fortune on other software!

Pros

Amazing for value. It's accessible for former Word users, makes link sharing with clients very easy, integrates with Drive for organization, and offers great suggesting/editing features that are efficient and easy to follow.

Cons

I wish there were was a stronger compatibility with Word - I have several .docx files that won't open into Google Docs, and I frequently run deal with formatting glitches that take extra time to correct.

Cost and integration with Google Drive. I had a big issue with storage space with Microsoft Word as well, whereas Google allows for more files.

### "Improve Theme Feature"

November 27, 2025

4.0

My overall experience with Google Docs has been amazing. The software has greatly improved my workflow.

Pros

I like the save for offline feature. It helps me alot when I'm out of internet subscription. I also like the fact that it is an online editor.

Cons

I didn't like the only light theme feature. There should also be a dark theme or even user inspired theme.

### "An essential tool for hospitality team communication"

December 27, 2025

5.0

Overall, Google docs is a reliable and cost-effective tool for hospitality operations. But minor bugs such as lag with multiple users editing, formatting changes when printing, and limited offline funtionality can occasionally occur. These issues are minor and manageable in daily hospitality operations. It supports clear communication, consistent documentation, and efficient teamwork across departments and shifts.

Pros

Google docs is very easy to use and allows real-time collaboration, which is extremely helpful in a hospitality environment. It makes it simple to share shift reports, sops, training documents, and guest communication notes with mangers and team membes instantly. However, minor issues can occur, includingoccasional lag when multiple user are editing the same document. Cloud storage ensures documents are alsways accessible from any device, even during overnight shifts. Google docs offers excellent value for money especially for hospitality businesses, since it provides powerful features at no cost. The writing assistance tools help with spelling, grammar, and clarity, which is useful.

Cons

Customer support is mostly self-service, which can be limiting if immediate live assistance is needed. But minor bugs such as lag with multiple users editing, formatting changes when printing. Writing assistance is helpful but basic and may not catch more advance tone or formating issue required for professional guest correspondence.

### "Ease of use; Google Docs"

December 4, 2025

5.0

Overall, I love Google Docs. I personally use it a lot due to its ease of use and cost. It also is so easy to learn the system.

Pros

I love the fact that Google Docs is free to use with a Google account, which requires no installation, and that it has real-time collaboration!

Cons

I don't like that it requires internet access for full functionality and that it is dependent on the Google ecosystem.

### "Fácil de usar y trabajo colaborativo"

April 25, 2026

5.0

### "Best system to use for writing/creating documents!"

November 16, 2025

5.0

I would highly recommend Google docs to anyone if you do not have it already. It has so many useful features and the auto save feature is a must have. I also appreciate that I can access my documents from any where.

Pros

I have used google docs since I was in high school and continue to use it now as and adult which attests to it ease to use. Google docs is a free services for anyone with a google account and has such amazing features such as the ability to collaborate with others on the same document, free storage for documents, and easily allows you to sync files with other programs. Google docs also provides writing assistance and provides many templates to help your create resumes, letters, brochures, and many other documents. I have not had any issues since using Google docs and have not had the need to use their customer support team.

Cons

The only thing that I do not love about Google docs is that it does not have all the features that Microsoft word has. I use clip art and cool lettering for brochures and handouts for work and google docs does not have a software to help you create this inside the document however it is easy to save and upload these things from a file.

### "Google Docs Rock!"

January 14, 2026

5.0

We have used Google Docs in my college for several years and overall I must agree that Google Docs is a better office suite in general. Google Docs can be used in so many capacities whereas Word documents are mainly just text.

Pros

Google Docs is an exceptionally easy way to share information between colleagues, to get help with writing the presentation, and they offer great customer support. I have used Google Docs extensively for several years and they are always excellent value.

Cons

What I least like about Google Docs is that at first they are not as user friendly as Word documents. However, after learning about them, they are now my favorite office document.

### "Game changer for produtivity in teams"

January 27, 2026

Super usefull for multiple people working at once. Makes WIP documents super easy to share and recieve feedback on in real time

Pros

When working on a project in a large team, the ability for everyone to edit the same document simultaneously is amazing. I can see what others are adding in real time and suggest edits through comments

Cons

When multiple people edit the same document, it can be hard to revert to a previous version as there is multiple edits happening. It can be hard to pinpoint what to keep and remove when the number of active editors increases

### "Make it, Store it, and access from anywhere...The Google advantage."

February 28, 2026

5.0

Excellent overall joy in using Google Docs and the google suite. Writing assistance is another thing that I find helpful and time saving, though AI tools with a copy and paste are making that less of a function needed.

Pros

One stop shopping in the Google suite of products make ease of use my first 5 star reason for keeping Google front and center. Cloud storage is so functional in a life on the go. No matter where I am or what device I am on, once I have logged into my Google account, I have access to everything in its daily use requirements. It is such good value for the money and I have rare needs of customer support, though a sale of my business did generate a need and it was satisfactory results. Bugs and Issues have rarely arose.

Cons

It is still different in many ways from what i grew up on so there is still a learning strain at certain time within a document. Margin manipulation still seems to get me confused.

### "Perfect tool for real time document collaboration "

January 13, 2026

4.0

To be very honest google docs has made out lifes easier since. It has removed the hassles of worrying about saving the changes , sharing multiple times , gives real time updated status , reduces most of our stress and time

Pros

I have been using google docs for personal and professional use as well . What i like the most is the auto-save feature even though multiple people are using it at the same time, which makes the communication easier for the team members It has suggestion feature which is a live saver. And at the same time no need to worry about docs misplaced ,it will all be saved The UI is very easy and simple to use. Most of the time i use the free version of Google docs which saves us a lot.

Cons

I have never faced any major issues using this tool. There will be a negotiable lag in showing the selected boxes on Google docs, once lost a file where i reached the support and they directed me into restoring that doc .

It's amazing for my Boss and I to keep track of event details, marketing, schedules from the past. It is a life saver and if I'm not at work I can still log in from home to access files I need. It's the convenience for me 💯💁🏻‍♂️

Pros

Very easy to store and organize everything and share with others without overloading your computers.

Cons

I would say we need to work on the gemini integration. I love her, but there's some things we all know need to be worked out. But I still love using it, I know in the next coming months the things I seen as a draw ack will not be anymore since this program keeps advancing

I love this product. I have used it for years, and I will continue to use it. It is an essential basic product that I would recommend to everyone.

Pros

### "Easy-to-Use, reliable and increases collaboration"

January 11, 2026

5.0

Overall, google docs is reliable and an efficient word-processing tool for day-to-day collaboration, personal/academic work and so much more. However it does lack in some advanced features which may not be what everyone is looking for.

Pros

Its free, easy to use, provides real-time updates (automatic saving and cloud access), and excellent for collaboration. Furthermore, there very few bugs and issues and works offline. I like how it can also be accessible form any device. It's also very easy to access and doesn't require external apps.

Cons

Google Docs doesn't have the draw feature, other advance formatting and layout tools compared to other word processors. Furthermore, it does offer minor grammar error assistance and nothing else to help the writer. The customer service is also hard to reach.

### "Great Overall Document Tool"

April 21, 2026

5.0

Overall my experience with Google Docs has been great. It is useful to be able to store my documents all in one place, and to be able to access them on different devices when I think of an idea I want to jot down. Some of the most recent features added have been a huge help as well. For example, tabs have been great for organizing long documents.

Pros

Google Docs is one of the top word processors in my opinion, and an ideal tool for collaboratively working on a document alongside others in real time. Its simple layout makes it easy to use, and I've never encountered any issues with it (I've used it daily for years for both school and work).

Cons

The simplicity of Google Docs can sometimes be a limiting factor, for example it doesn't support the more complex alternating margin layout needed for book printing layouts.

Pros

Cons

### "Google Docs, clever like a Fox"

February 9, 2026

5.0

On a scale of 1 to 100, where 100 is best, I would give docs.google.com an A+, a 98-99% ranking. The one- or two-point subtraction is just for minor things that may actually be returned to the Google Score, making it score 100.

Pros

I really liked the fact that Documents by Google has many of the features of popular Word Processing software, and the cross-compatibility of the application. But, in my eyes, the best feature is the price: free.

Cons

On a few occasions, the URL completed as docs. at some other web service. Of all the Word Processing across the web, I would venture to say that docs.google.com is the best. As First \[sensitive content hidden\] implores, "Be Best."

### "A Simple Yet Still Useful Word Processing Tool"

April 22, 2026

4.0

Overall I'm satisfied with using Google Docs. It's simplicity does not limit the application, but helps you focus on what's typically necessary.

Pros

I like that it's a simple Word Processing application for everyday use. It's intuitive and makes collaborating easy. I like that it's menu bar options are streamlined to functionality you need the most, which makes writing and editing documents efficient.

Cons

My least favorite thing about Google Docs is if you want to copy a document that includes suggestions to a new location, the suggestions don't carry over. Also, integrating to Google applications is less common than with competing Word Processing applications. This limited our options when we were searching for other software where we wanted to have an integration with Google Docs.

Pros

I also love how easy it is to collaborate with co-workers because of its ability to share. You now do not have to send the document over and over again but you can update in live time.

### "A very versatile tool"

A very positive experience, it is easy to use and I love that it syncs with your Gmail account, so you can access to your documents anywhere with an internet connection.

Pros

Google docs is a great tool for editing files, it is very intuitive and easy to use; if you come from using Microsoft Word you will find all the features that you know are here as well, and they integrate well with the document. The files sync with your gmail account, so you can have cloud access to them in any computer that has internet access. The best of it, it is free and has no ads, so it is a great value for your money; I have been using it for years and have never encounter any bugs or issues. Since it is under the Google umbrella, the costumer support is great and they solve any issues that you might encounter fast and easy.

Cons
