I think it is very good product for portable devices, Easy to use and make your documentation much easier to manage and handle.

Pros

It is very likely to MS word of Microsoft, And also gives you all of the features of MS word in your portable device. And it is very easy to handle and manage.

Cons

Some of the tools are missing like you can not see page breaks and the formatting options are less diversified.

### "Free, consistent, and reliable."

August 13, 2021

4.0

Pros

For a free software, I'm surprised with how on par Google Docs is in comparison to Words and Adobe. You can create, edit, share, and even convert your google docs all on the cloud. You can even view external documents using google docs. When collaborating with other users, the real-time changes being made helps eliminate the time needed previously to send revised documents to others via file sharing. Google Docs is especially suitable for office/ school work.

Cons

Because of the cloud saving feature, you do need a stable internet connection to edit existing documents or shared documents. In cases where there is poor latency, you may experience inconveniences if you are trying to complete some assignments or make any last minute adjustments to your documents.

### "Makes tracking performance simple"

September 12, 2021

5.0

It is convenient and simple to use. It is also very simple to transfer data from Excel to the G doc.

Pros

It is easy to learn and once a rule is set in place, it applies consistently. I use the platform to track performance on a daily basis so it is easy for me to use the collected data to analysis the daily performance of each agent.

Cons

It does not have an offline facility so I always need to be connected to the internet in order to use it.

### "Higher expectation on Google Docs"

October 10, 2018

5.0

I have higher expectations on Google Docs in the following aspects. 1) Make the online reference searching as powerful as Google Scholar. I can image the days that I spend 24/7 on Google Docs if it had the article searching engine the same as Google Scholar!! This can be a life-saver. 2) Be consistent on the toolbar design as well as shortcuts with MS word. This is very important in booming office users. 3) One more improvement can be made regarding sending voice message to the synchronically users while using.

Pros

Needless to say, the most striking point of Google Docs is that team members can work on it simultaneously with detailed revision tracking. You would never worry whoever makes changes to the document, which can be easily checked in the past editions. I also appreciate Google Docs provide reference searching function, but I do have higher expectations.

Cons

The most annoying part in Google Docs, I will say as a short-cut advocate, is short-cuts are useless and causes trouble. I know each software should have its own identities or some other business reasons, but I strongly recommend Google Docs couple the short-cuts with MS word. This can increase users greatly I bet.

### "Always Have Google Docs in Your Pocket!"

October 15, 2022

5.0

We use this software for taking notes, sorting information before plugging it into dashboards, PowerPoints, data collection, and designs!

Pros

Google Docs is the easiest software to use. It's also mobile-friendly for the days when I need to make last-minute changes before team meetings or client interviews. Better than Microsoft.

Cons

For something as accessible and free as Google Docs, I think it's fine the way it is! It helps get the full picture without all the fancy toggles.

### "Perfect for business or personal document sharing!"

April 16, 2019

5.0

Pros

I love that I can easily share, or even co-author, a document using Google Docs. Information can be updated and everyone that has access to the document sees the update in real time.

Cons

I don't really have any cons regarding Google Docs. It is so simple and convenient to use. If I had to make a con, I would say that I wish it had more font choices.

### "Create, Access, and share documents from anyplace."

March 1, 2021

5.0

Google Docs can be improved in the future but overall it is very user-friendly and I would not consider using any other document managing software.

Pros

Google Docs is one of the most user-friendly document management software I have ever used. Just log into your google account with any device from anywhere in the world. With Google Docs you can create new documents, upload documents, edit documents, and share these documents with others for easy collaboration. Collaboration with teams on reports has never been so easy.

Cons

One of the disappointing features about Google Docs is the fonts provided or lack thereof. Thus, there are not many fonts to choose from when editing a document in Google Docs.

### "A good writing management tool for students, freelancers and business owners "

October 12, 2021

5.0

I'm very happy to start using the Google docs software services. It's easy, flexible and smooth to use for your study, business or just for writing passion.

Pros

Honestly, most Google docs features are good in general except for the sharing features. I'm sure they need more improvements. But the good feature i like about Google docs app or service is that you can work offline or online. They also allow you to correct some language grammar mistakes and spellings. Just being able to add links, videos, formatting metrics and colors is good for me.

Cons

As I said, they have to add more sharing buttons in order to spread the word easily on other platforms.

### "As a student, Google Docs is a convenient, simple, and necessary tool"

July 30, 2018

5.0

I am easily able to complete and work on assignments from school, it is completely free and the simple, clean, and easy to use interface enhances the experience altogether.

Pros

I appreciate that I can access my documents from Google on any computer at any time, and it automatically saves. The layout is simple and easy to use. The pre-made templates for anything from letters to resumes are incredibly advantageous. The ability to share and allow others to edit my documents is necessary and simple for group projects and run of the mill peer edits; if you don't want somebody to be able to make changes - the commenting feature allows feedback so you can change your document however you see fit. All in all, this is a tool I have and will continue to use throughout my schooling experience and likely in my career.

Cons

There are limited options for templates and editing the formatting of an entire template (if you want to change the body font of the entire document) is a more complex process than need be. It's completely useless if somebody does not have a Google account - they can only view your document.

### "The Standard"

November 25, 2023

5.0

The transition from Microsoft Word was smooth, virtually everything is a quick google search away. Overall, I see no reason to use any other word document software, unless you run out of space.

Pros

It's free, easy to use, and widely accepted as the most popular and easiest to integrate for anything that involves words.

Cons

I can't think of any relevant cons except that you may run out of storage if you wish to save every document you made on there on the cloud throughout your entire career. But so far I've gotten by from College until now without needing to pay for extra storage.

### "Google Docs' sharing features outshine some minor drawbacks"

January 7, 2020

4.0

Google Docs has been invaluable for document generation, word processing, and collaborating remotely. It still has a ways to go to compete with Word's features, but it's sharing and relative similarity to Word make it a constantly useful tool.

Pros

The easy ability to share and collaborate on Google Docs is perhaps the strongest feature of this word processing software. We've needed to make important changes under time pressure, and the fact that we can do so while avoiding the "email dance" is invaluable. Documents update in real time, and can be accessed and edited by multiple parties at once. Saves time, and reduces in redundancy. Easy access to cloud -based version of the document makes editing on-the-go a breeze. Reviewing and commenting are fairly well developed, allowing for robust communication. Auto-Versioning is very helpful. It's great to be able to go back in time, and make a separate document from a prior version. It's connection with Google Drive makes storage a no-brainer.

Cons

While MS Office compatibility is decent (including the ability to edit DOCX files without leaving the Google environment), MS Word continues to dominate in useful and robust features. MS Office is too omnipresent to have to work in two environments. I would love a fuller font package. Emails generated from comments can create inbox clutter. This feature may already exist, but as present I need to use my personal GMAIL account too often, and have not had success running this through my MS-based work email.

### "Maybe the best collaboration tool for teams"

September 8, 2021

4.0

Overall, Google Docs makes team work easy and having all your files accessible from any device is so much better and useful than I originally thought.

Pros

A must for team collaboration. Basically an online text editor tightly integrated with Google drive and with support for multiple collaborators. Most of my work on university regarding reports or notes is in Google docs and I can add team members from my group assignments with one click. I can even download the docs in .doc or .docx form for offline office use if for any reason you need it.

Cons

Some fonts (like calibri and other fonts from Microsoft Office) if used, they can't be rendered to pdf (maybe copyright problems?) but without any prior warning. This usually makes the process of pdf generation quite difficult (you need to change all fonts, or download in .doc format and edit and export with libre office or Microsoft Office)

### "Everyone needs Google Docs"

May 13, 2019

5.0

I love google docs and have been using it for years. I use it for organizing my small businesses, tracking mileage, tax notes, collaborating on documents with co-workers. . . I use it for many personal contexts as well, such as to organize family history photos, notes, and pdfs. I use it for PTA minutes, which I need to access on different workspaces (laptop, iPad, desktop, phone) depending on the context.

Pros

Really easy to use, intuitive, and easily accessible across platforms. It is my favorite collaborative work space for writing/editing documents as a group and sharing spreadsheets. You can share individual documents or entire folders. I love how easily you can organize things into folders if you're that type of person, or if you want to leave everything "loose", you can easily use the search function and find the document or sheet you are looking for. I am a big fan of the automatic save function, as well as being able to review and revert to any previous version of a document. I appreciate the gmail integration, such that with just a click, I can save a gmail attachment to my google drive and even organize it into folders. The option of making docs available offline is also a lifesaver and lets me work without security worries in airports and public spaces without having to connect to unsecured wifi and on airplanes.

Cons

The only downside that I've encountered is that some people do not have personal google accounts, which can make it slightly tricky to collaborate with them outside of work settings (such as PTA).

### "Practical application, with very useful toolbar and allows sharing documents through the network."

July 27, 2018

5.0

Pros

It is an application that allows us to process texts, spreadsheets, presentations and new online PDFs or edit other existing documents, in turn we can share them with other users of the network through the internet, keeping the documents in Cloud. Google Docs has a publication system that allows us to obtain the Embed code that we can embed in Blogs, or in other cases it allows us to publish it through html with the link that it generates. This application allows files up to 500K plus 2 MB of images, and when they are larger allows us to use other tools to save as Scribd or Slideshare, and uses a very innovative editor based on java script, and allows you to display the comments attached in box in the same page where you want to indicate the reference of that comment, and in turn allows you to respond quickly in the same space, allowing discussion among collaborators.

Cons

This application is very useful, possibly the only thing I see is the capacity of documents that reaches up to 500K plus 2 MB of images, so those documents with many images is rejected.

### "Overall Great, still enjoy word though..."

October 14, 2020

4.0

Overall this product is amazing! Easy to use and very user friendly set up! I am a fan of Word myself, always have been and always will be- but I will be honest Google is a close second! Sometimes I keep my documents in docs because of the ease of inviting other users to edit/view the doc. I would highly recommend the product just remember going into it, it can pretty much do everything Word can do, just maybe be a slightly different action to get it done.

Pros

For me the biggest pro was being able to work mobility without fear of losing my work! I was able to start working on my desktop, move to my mobile and then close the doc until morning back on the computer! Another huge perk for me is the auto saving! I know Microsoft has also enabled the auto save feature but I have never lost a Google doc or progress regardless of computer security locking or time out error or the great wonder computer freezing and having to restart! Google held onto it all!

Cons

Coming from Microsoft I was use to certain functions being completed one way and with setup being slightly different it may take a few additional clicks to find the way around, but most common functions are readily available! My second complaint, this maybe a user error, I have difficulty turning my Google docs to word docx and vice versa.. sometimes the format doesn’t not always care over as hoped and I have to take some additional time editing the format.

### "Positive review for Google Documents"

May 24, 2022

4.0

We were able to track our money and with Google Docs, it made my life so much easier to use this program. 10/10 I reccomend to any student/businessman, and it is very easy to use.

Pros

It allows organization allowing for me to have my co workers managers and friends to stay updated on the job and not miss any part. My son uses this for his school sometimes, and if he needs help with something, i can with ease. Easy and reliable, inexpensive.

Cons

At first there was inorganization, and it takes about half a week to get used to the interface, as old as I’m getting to be, i think there isnt and problems with this program, and i think personally it should be used more among schools and workplaces.

### "An Incredible and Versatile Tool!"

February 17, 2020

5.0

As a teacher, Docs has been a great tool to introduce students to typing, helping them publish their writings, collaborate with others, and organize their work. The automatic saving also helps students immensely! Among teachers, Docs also helps us share ideas and keep collaborative files accessible to everyone, even when not on a work computer! It has been great using this tool, and I highly recommend it.

Pros

Google Docs is an incredibly versatile tool, allowing you to write and edit word documents anywhere you have internet access - or even where you don't if you turn on "offline access"! As a teacher with a limited set of technology, it can be challenging for students to always get the same chromebook, but this way, they can access their documents with any of them, and collaborate with others in real time. This also helps us stay "green", limiting our paper usage. On top of that, Google Docs is always adapting, with more Add-ons available to improve and increase its capabilities. The transfer from MS Word to Docs is even easier now that Docs can adapt your Word documents and edit them without changing the file type! Other than some missing capabilities, Docs fills my need for an online document creator, and continues to improve.

Cons

While Google Docs can take MS Word files and use them, the program is missing several capabilities that Word boasts. The need for an internet connection can also be frustrating, but when everything has internet, and you can turn on "offline access" after your first use, this is easily looked past.

Google Docs is an affordable life saver. It is free for a certain amount of storage. You can't beat that! It is also so easy to uses, and makes collaborating a breeze.

Pros

### "For most uses, a complete word-editing solution. Some annoying limitations for more advanced use"

April 20, 2019

5.0

Google Docs is a workhorse option for basic word-processing tasks. It's cloud-accessible and platform neutral. It's easy for multiple users with easily-edited permissions to collaborate on a document in real time. The documents themselves can be shared as email attachments, or with links. It comes with cloud-storage, and can also be edited off-line, with changes that are saved when the internet connection is restored again. Google Docs is an indescribably helpful and useful platform, although it does come with a few limitations. Advanced features like mail-merges are impossible, there's a limited selection of fonts, and it's impossible to zoom out and view multiple pages side-by-side, which can make reviewing documents or skimming difficult. In sum, Google Docs provides a range of uses that make it indispensable for most users, and useful for almost anyone.

Pros

It's free Cloud-accessible Clean interface Intuitive to use Autosave functionality keeps work from being destroyed by outage Accessible from any device Easy to make and discard small, single-use documents Sharing is easy and helpful and doesn't require email attachments Collaboration is incredibly easy

Cons

Can't view pages side-by-side Limited fonts Lack of advanced functions like mail-merge

### "Simple. Easy to use. Easy to share."

February 1, 2019

5.0

Overall it's super easy to use, and even easier to use in the context of a team because of the sharing features. It has most of the features of Word. I would suggest they add the option to upload fonts so I can use the fonts I like.

Pros

This word processor is super easy to use with groups. I often share documents with others. It's only a couple clicks in the program. Also, there's a plethora of fonts, and as a designer, I like to make my words look pretty, even if it's just a simple document. There's add-on extensions but I don't use them. Maybe they make it more useful, maybe not but they're there if you want them. It's also on every computer you sign into, so it makes it super easy to work anywhere from any device. I use my phone sometimes.

Cons

It's almost a bit too simple. I like the professionally of Word, and this in comparison looks like a kid's toy program. I have a brand which uses a very common and easy to find font, Bebas Neue. For some reason, even though it's in every other program, Google Docs does not have it. I have to substitute their font, Oswald, and make everything capital to get close.
