### "Google Docs Review"

December 3, 2019

5.0

1) We maintain running notes in my team meetings and shares with my team for maintaining what are the areas we need to work on & what we discussed on the meeting. 2) Shares the required information with the team and asks our team to maintain accordingly. 3) Shares some office information, Sample templates for work and restrict them with Just read option to make sure our information is secure.

Pros

Google Docs nothing but Word files in online. We Can share Google Docs with multiple users and share some information with every one. Its very helpful for my team when we were on Team meeting connected through Conference calls from different Locations. We Can write and Can ask our team to give their comments or we can ask our team to write and share the information with others. It helps for offshore and online meetings and Can write running notes in the meetings, Can maintain data with the teams and the most loving part of this document is we can control our users with Write, Comment, and just read options to make sure unwanted edits from teams and Unwanted changes. and We Can track History also.

Cons

As we all know, Word document comes up with lot of designs and different templates for different uses but this Google Docs is like a white paper and don't have any custom design and templates but if we are interested for designs and templates we can create that.

### "Google Docs is a solid word processing application"

December 26, 2018

4.0

Google Docs is, considering it is free to use, a very good word processing option. The basics are incredibly easy to do with Docs but if more professionalism is required then it is better to go with something like Microsoft Word.

Pros

There were several positives to be found in the Google Docs software. One example would be the easiness surrounding sharing a document. There are options to export as a pdf, as a Word document or keep in its google docs form. The ability to share a document with other members allows for collaboration in real time and can also allow for work to be completed in modules from each person. There is seamless collaboration with other software from Google such as a Google classroom and Google Drive. Ability to see when and what changes have been made to a document makes for an easy way of telling who edited what and who must be referred to if there is uncertainty in that area.

Cons

The software feels clunky and stripped when compared to other widely used softwares such as Word. There are less features in terms of tools and layout. Inputting graphs and tables from elsewhere can also be frustrating as Docs often does not have the tools to host all aspects of a chart (at least in the way there were originally designed). Exporting to and from Word is also a challenge as the two seem to have differing ideas of what the same font looks like and there is little continuity with formatting such as bullet points and headings. Overall Docs looks less professional than Word in the end but for the majority of tasks it is solid.

### "Easy collaboration for student group projects"

December 21, 2018

5.0

Google Docs is an excellent web-based document creator. It's ease-of-use makes drafting reports for collaborative group projects simple and efficient. I have frequently found myself using it during team meetings. I simply wish it could produce a more professional looking document as easily as it is able to share and collaborate with others.

Pros

Google Docs makes collaborating on a single document with multiple users incredibly easy. It is especially useful for university level group reports, and the seamless realtime changes and syncing with Google Drive allows for easy access to content from virtually anywhere. Arguably the most important aspect of Google Docs is its ease of use. The simplicity of the tool bar, and how easy it is to share the document with countless other users makes this the most popular document sharing option. Alternatives options, such as shared Microsoft Word documents, often take longer to setup and share with other users. Since Google Docs is a web-based service, it is always kept up to date which avoids potential compatibility issues (which I have experienced with Microsoft shared documents).

Cons

The main drawback of Google Docs is its lack of formatting options. Getting a document started and getting everyone's ideas written down is very easy to accomplish, but to format a professional report, technical paper, or adding embedded equations into the document simply does not look as professional as a Word document, or better yet, a shared Latex document. In my opinion, Google Docs works best for creating a rough draft of ideas and structuring a collaborative report, but another document creating package should be used for finalizing the document.

### "Google Docs"

January 28, 2019

5.0

I really like the accessibility to my own documents but the functionality and the sharing capabilities are not user friendly. Maybe I am just not up to speed with all of the features in google docs but I feel like it could be a little more user friendly and have a few more capabilities within the program that make it easier to manipulate the documents.

Pros

I like being able to work on my documents from anywhere. I like that it autosaves and I do not have worry about losing my work in a power outage or if I walk away and forget to save my document.

Cons

I do not like that I cannot cut and paste from my document. I would like to be able to attach the document to an email without having to give access or send a link. I am a writer and sometimes only need to send a few pages to an editor or publisher at a time so I have to save the document in word and pull out however may pages the publisher requested and then attach it to an email. It would be nice to be able to do all of this within google docs. I also do not like that when someone else sends me a document to my primary email which is a yahoo account, it will not give me access right away. I have to log in with my google account and then I have to request access because the person sending it used my primary address. I would like to be able to sign in using different email accounts.

### "Creation and editing of documents with an incredible tool"

August 1, 2021

5.0

Google Docs is an excellent tool to create documents and has the ability to access documents anywhere. It is also very easy to use and allows me to load and share my documents with my co-workers or friends.

Pros

I really like to use Google Docs, since it is a very intuitive and efficient tool when creating documents, it has allowed me to create and share documents online without any problem. In addition, documents can be stored in the cloud and also to access my documents from any device.

Cons

The negative thing about this tool is that when I share a document, the document is modified or distorted when redesigning the document.

### "Google Docs has completely replaced any desktop publishing tool that I would ever use."

November 13, 2017

5.0

I will never use desktop publishing software again thanks to Google Docs.

Pros

The list of Pros for this software are too many to list. Unless you are a very, very advanced user of Microsoft Office, there is virtually nothing that MS Office can offer you that Google Docs can't also do. Not to mention, Google Docs means easy, secure cloud based documents that you can access at any time from multiple devices - and even collaborate with others in real time. Formatting options, themes, tables, styles - all of the "bells and whistles" you'd come to expect from MS Office are available in Google Docs. On top of that, there are third-party plugins available that extend Google Doc capabilities even further into niche areas, including automation through integration tools like Zapier and IFTTT.

Cons

The print layout options are the only area where Google Docs seems inferior to MS Office or Apple Pages. The print layout options are very limited.

### "Google Docs Enables Multiple Functions and Collaboration with Ease"

September 20, 2018

4.0

Assignments students complete in groups or presentation slides they must upload are conveniently done via Google Docs. In fact, I offer linking to Google Doc and MS Office via Canvas, the learning platform I use in the classroom. Also, in research settings, it is easy to share documents with colleagues or experimental session subjects via docs.

Pros

I love that you can access Google Docs without download and from anywhere. The capability to share publicly or with specific people is really convenient. Both as a student and now a professor, I use Google Docs in the classroom and research setting.

Cons

I cannot figure out how to extract a document and then reupload it. All changes must be made online, and are saved as you go. I'd rather be able to access a document, extract to work on it, and then reupload to Drive. I realize the reason this isn't a possibility... the collaborative point and tracking changes would not work. However, when the doc is not being shared, I think this would be a key option.

### "Google Docs is the best alternative I have ever used"

August 20, 2021

5.0

Google docs makes my job easier at church. Getting together music sheets has been a blast, and I've felt secure that even if my computer crashes, Google Docs will still have my files stored online. It's comforting to know I have that security

Pros

I love how simple this online program is. I've used Microsoft word for YEARS in the church business, and it has had ups and downs. Mostly, when I switch computers, I have to manually share files through a jump drive. With Google Docs, I have been able to not only access my files with ease, but I'm able to also download it in any format necessary for the church to use. For songs and sheets that are too many pages, It has been a easy transition to shorten lyrics through this program. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a notepad processing program.

Cons

Adding a save button would be nicer, but honestly I have not had that problem much since using this program.

### "Google Docs Review"

October 18, 2022

4.0

We use Google docs, to type in reviews, summarize interactions, and share areas of opportunities with our agents. I've been using this for a while now, and I'm very pleased with the workaround. It is very user-friendly, and anyone can just jump in, and start using it, not only in business but for personal use too.

Pros

I like how easy it is to use Google Docs and the fact that I can take my documents anywhere with me since all the information is saved in the cloud. I just need to log into my Google account and open any document needed.

Cons

I think there is little to no space for improvement. I like simple things, and Google makes it easy for me.

### "Handily dethrones the former king of word processing for common use cases"

November 14, 2018

4.0

I use Google Docs for so many tasks - from creating my resume and cover letters to collaboratively writing songs with people in a different country.

Pros

Editing collaboratively in Google Docs still feels like magic. Sharing a document is so easy and common it's hard to remember when sharing files and commenting on them was difficult or novel. The recent Grammarly integration has made Google Docs even more useful for my writing. I LOVE that I can open my Drive and have access to all of my documents, no matter what device I'm using or where I am.

Cons

Printing still feels a bit disjointed. Some document formatting options are missing or not easy to find (thankfully colums finally exist!). Likely the biggest drawback is the inability to use system fonts with Google Docs. I would do much more basic layout work with it if I coudl use my own fonts, rather than just free online fonts from Google. Font limitations really get in the way of consistant branding.

### "Collaborative tool"

October 23, 2021

5.0

It has been easier to keep my documents through Google docs since it all automatically saves on my Google account. I can easily find everything on my account with a quick search.

Pros

Best thing I like about this software is how easy it is to share a file with other Google account users. We can all actively write on the document simultaneously as we work together. It's also easy to make a copy of a document if I ever need to work on it separately from anyone.

Cons

The least thing I like is the inability to put it in outline mode. I take notes weekly on various topics and am used to a certain outline mode, so it takes more time to write my notes through this software.

### "EVERYBODY should use this!"

July 27, 2021

5.0

For the most part, my experience with Google Docs has been very good.

Pros

I think that everybody who uses a computer would have a use for Google Docs because the app can be used for so many different things: writing, taking notes, collaborating, and much more. I like that Google Docs is free to use and works well with most tools of the Google "ecosystem". If you have used software for writing before, then you will be all set with Google Docs in a matter of seconds... that's how easy it is to use! And you will be able to do that from pretty much any device as Google Docs has a mobile app too, which let you even make files available offline (perfect if you are without an Internet connection for a while – your files will be synced and the changes will be applied as soon as you are back to using Google Docs while you are connected to the Internet). And let's not forget about add-ons. You can use Google Docs in combination with many other tools, which enhances Google Docs performance and your overall capabilities as a user. An example of this is using Google Docs with Grammarly for checking your text for mistakes.

Cons

If you would like to add a lot of visual content to your Google Docs file, you may face formatting issues or even have the platform slow down. This isn't a major thing but it is worth keeping in mind if you are considering Google Docs.

### "it's great than some other word-handling programming, VERY RECOMMENDED"

October 2, 2021

5.0

I love utilizing Google docs, essentially for its capacity to save files online which enables me to recover it anyplace and in any gadget just by signing in to my Gmail, and it offers practically all the indispensable altering instruments that are presented in other conspicuous Word programs.

Pros

The reward is that it flawlessly incorporates with other Google programming. The absolute most unmistakable components of this application are it's amazing and has an exceptionally exquisite and basic UI. I love the way simple it is to utilize and how file sharing is really incorporated. The quality for the expense of the item is super.

Cons

The bad thing about it that I noticed is that when composing a document Google Docs it recoveries to the server only and not to the gadget as a matter of course, which here and it is irritating in case you are attempting to get to that report without any web availability/lack of signal. And little yet at the same time irritating missing components-for instance, the live word counter quits appearance the word count at 20,000 characters for definitely no real excuse.

Pros

Google docs provide lots of advantages to read, edit and create documents on the go. Being an elements of Google ecosystem makes it easy to switch between Gmail, Google docs, drive and other elements. As with every cloud service, being able to access your file on multiple devices is a serious plus

### "Very Accessible"

April 6, 2021

5.0

I love that Google Docs is totally free but has great features that help me generate my document on any device.

Pros

I really like how accessible Google Docs is, It's web-based software so basically one can access it if they have a google account and a great internet. It's totally free supports many devices and has great features. Sharing Documents with other people has been made easy by Google Docs, I just share the document with my colleagues or friends but I have control over what they can do to the document. I can allow some to read-only or comment, and allow a few others to edit the document, which they can do in real-time.

Cons

If you are making a complicated document, you'll find something like Word very adequate and Google docs to be less adequate.

### "Google Docs All Day 'Err day"

July 29, 2019

5.0

Pros

Collaboration continues to be the highlight of GSuite's productivity offerings, and GoogleDocs is no exception. As a person who has to use Google Docs all day every day in my role—I see the discussion and commenting functionalities as the biggest value add. The ability to create action items (with machine learning suggestions reducing the friction to do so) in the form of comments is also super, super powerful.

Cons

The grammar checking capability of GoogleDocs is almost too powerful, and too intrusive (I'm talking about those blue squiggly lines they put underneath words). Oftentimes I use GoogleDocs for taking notes shorthand, and the grammar checking capability becomes a bit annoying in those cases b.c my shorthand won't be grammatically correct. I wish Google could just use machine learning to learn when I'm intentionally trying to take shorthand notes, and disable grammar checking during those scenarios.

### "Overkill - Like buying a nuclear warhead to kill a fly"

July 12, 2018

3.0

Pros

This software is based in the cloud and can be accessed on a mobile device. It has good security protocols that can be adjusted by an administrator. It is competitively priced, but hidden costs of consultants or administrators will eat you alive.

Cons

Going down the path with Salesforce, you will find yourself in handcuffs. The introductory contracts are long. The software forces updates - including a particularly annoying insistence that users switch to lightning experience even when the settings are for Classic. Anything you can conceive CAN be done with Salesforce but you may have to pay a 3rd party to program it, hire an army of admins, change your business processes completely, or buy connecting apps. Likely you will find yourself inventing lots of work-arounds and turning off lots of built-in features. This software requires TONS of administration and customization. It is not ready out of the box.

### "Amazing tool!!!"

March 9, 2021

5.0

I love this app, i use it everyday and it has really made my life easier. I would definetely reccommend it to anyone and specially with all this virtuality with the pandemic, it has been a real lifesavor!!!

Pros

Google Docs has been a lifesaver for my college career and my job. All my colleagues and acquaintances agree that it is probably one of the best applications for teamwork and sharing thoughts. The auto-save system is really amazing and saves a lot of misfortunes. Also the option to leave comments along the document and to allow other users to review them and correct the elements is fantastic. I give this app a 10/10 and is by far my favorite to use!!!!!

Cons

Honestly i have not found any major or distinguishable problems with Google Docs. I could say that it would be a nice touchup to prevent other users to delete comments or information you have done without notice. I've had a problem with someone else deleting what i have written without consulting me and to this day i don't know who it was. There should be a warning or a lock to prevent users from deleting other's stuff.

### "Google Docs Has Been Instrumental To Our Business Growth"

I love using Google Docs. I adopted Google Docs later than many of my peers, but now I use it multiple times a day and I would have a hard time not using it. I really, really like the low cost.

Pros

The ability to create and share documents, especially to document the processes in our new organization.

Cons

Google Docs does a good job of providing a solid product. I do feel like there are a few features I occasionally look for, which do not exist. To be fair, most of the features I use daily or weekly are covered.

### "My Google Docs Review "

March 20, 2023

5.0

For now, the only app I'm comfortable writing on is Google Docs. It's made writing easier for me. It allows me insert links to my articles, create standard headings, and it has helped me know the amount of words in each of my contents. So far, so good, it's a great software!

Pros

As a writer, Google Docs is my major writing tool. All my works are compiled and edited with this app and I do this everyday. My favorite feature is the one that allows me share my documents with selected people, it makes editing more easy. Another thing I like is that my contents are pretty safe both online and offline, leaving no room for them to be stolen or plagiarized. This app has helped me compiled my portfolio on several writing niches for easy access from my employers.

Cons

Well, I can't think of any on my laptop or tablet. But I think the mobile version needs a little upgrade.

### "Google Docs Review "

October 16, 2020

4.0

Overall, my experience with google docs has been fantastic, as I have found it to be the easiest and most convenient software around. The collaboration feature is one of the best features of any software especially for students. This is my document software of choice and my preference for notes and any assignments.

Pros

There is a lot to like about the google docs software. For starters its a very easy to use program, and is a lot easier to navigate than some of the other document software's such as Microsoft word. The features and amenities are all very easy to use and give the user a good way to customize and optimize their document. However the best aspect of the software would be the collaboration aspect. The ability to have multiple parties working on one document makes group work, and collaborative assignments significantly easier. This value can not be understated, and is one of the main reasons I pick google docs over word. Another great feature is the Auto save feature, and knowing that your work will always be saved, and that you wont lose it for a computer malfunction. This has saved me and countless others in the event of a computer crash.

Cons

One of the major flaws in google docs, and the one thing Microsoft still holds over google is the grammar and spelling features. Still Microsoft word has far superior features to help a user fix misspellings, poor grammar, and common mistakes. While google drive has certainly created a lot of features Microsoft can't match, this feature is still very important, and is one reason Microsoft word is still the standard for most businesses.
