I use google docs all the time. It's ease of access and easy printing makes drafting documents easy and simple.

Pros

Google docs is a useful, tool for writing and storing documents online. It has many features that assist with formating and drafting text and it stores theese documents on the cloud which you can then download to the device you're using. Along with easy sharing features it's usually my go to when drafting documents.

Cons

It may be a bit finicky when you want to add images. It's not an overly complex writing application.

My overall experience with Google Docs has been very positive. It’s a user-friendly, dependable tool that makes writing, organizing, and collaborating much easier. For everyday documents, work projects, and personal use, it’s one of the most convenient tools available.

Pros

I love how easy Google Docs makes it to create, edit, and share documents from anywhere. The real-time collaboration feature is one of my favorite parts because multiple people can work on the same document at the same time, leave comments, and make updates without having to send multiple versions back and forth. It’s also convenient that everything automatically saves and is accessible across devices.

Cons

The biggest downside is that some advanced formatting features can feel limited compared to desktop programs like Microsoft Word. Larger or more complex documents can sometimes become difficult to format exactly how you want, and occasional lag can happen with very large files.

Switched from

[Microsoft 365](https://www.capterra.com/p/227157/Microsoft-365/)

I switched from Microsoft 365 to Google Docs because I wanted a simpler, more accessible solution for creating and managing documents. Google Docs makes it easy to work from any device, automatically saves my work, and allows for seamless collaboration without needing to manage file versions or email attachments back and forth. It also fit my needs better while being a more cost-effective option for the way I use documents day to day.

it’s a total love hate relationship. On one hand, the real time collaboration and cloud syncing are absolute game changers working on the same file with someone else live and never having to stress about losing your progress is amazing. But on the other hand, it can get super frustrating when a massive document starts lagging, or when you're stuck without internet and can't easily access your stuff. Overall, it's my go to for everyday writing, but it definitely has its limits once things get heavy or complex.

Pros

Honestly, the real time collaboration. Being able to type in the exact same document with someone else at the same time and watching their cursor move live saves so much time and completely gets rid of the headache of emailing back and forth.

Cons

Honestly, how badly it struggles once you're working with massive documents. If you have a huge report with tons of high res images, complex formatting, or dozens of pages, it starts lagging, scrolling gets choppy and things just slow right down. Also, being forced to rely entirely on an internet connection can be super frustrating if your Wi-Fi drops out at the wrong time.

As a Practice Manager, Google Docs is one of the tools I rely on every single day. It's incredibly user-friendly and makes it easy to create, edit, and organize everything from training manuals and SOPs to meeting agendas and team communications. One of my favorite features is the ability to collaborate in real time. Being able to share documents with my leadership team, leave comments, assign action items, and track edits has streamlined so many of our workflows. Version history also provides peace of mind since we can always reference or restore previous changes if needed. Google Docs has also become an excellent task-tracking tool for our team. We use checklists, shared documents, and collaborative notes to keep projects moving, assign responsibilities, and ensure everyone stays aligned. Since everything updates instantly, our team always has access to the most current information, whether they're in the office or working remotely. Overall, Google Docs has significantly improved our organization, communication, and productivity. I highly recommend it to any manager or business looking for a simple yet powerful collaboration and document management solution.

Pros

Creating and maintaining office policies and SOPs. Tracking ongoing projects and office initiatives. Collaborating on meeting agendas and notes. Developing onboarding and training materials. Keeping managers and leadership aligned on tasks and deadlines. Sharing forms and reference documents across multiple office locations.

Cons

Documents can become difficult to organize as your team grows. Task tracking is basic and doesn't replace true project management software. Permission settings require careful management to prevent accidental edits or access issues. Very large SOP manuals or training documents may become slower to navigate over time.

Pros

I like how I can use Google Docs and share with everyone at work. I also love that it is user friendly and free!

Pros

In investment management at Mercurius Media Capital, drafting investment memos, due diligence reports, and reviewing legal contracts require high agility. I use Google Docs daily to co-author strategic documents simultaneously with my partners and analysts

Cons

Complex formatting and advanced document editing lag behind heavy traditional desktop word processors.

I love Google Docs and use it frequently. The combination of simple sharing, real-time collaboration, ease of use, and cross-device functionality makes it essential for both my personal and professional life. Would definitely recommend.

Pros

I love how seamless it is using Google Docs across devices. For example, sometimes I review documents during my commute using my phone. As soon as I arrive in the office I can pick up where I left off in seconds.

Cons

There are some formatting options in Microsoft Word I wish were in Google Docs, such as the ability to fix misaligned tables or insert photos over/around text.
