Started using it in last year when the teacher appointed my group to propose the solutions of a written test and we had to edit the same file over different locations and it was fun an super easy.

Pros

The fact that you can access it anywhere whether is from mobile, or desktop as long that you have an internet connection is wonderful.

Cons

Some features that are on Microsoft office aren't available on Google docs like whenever I copy a full document and past it on there it ommits some content saying that does not support!

If you're looking for a breakdown of Google Docs through the lens of a seasoned user, you've come to the right place. It’s the "old reliable" of the cloud world—mostly because it just works, but it certainly has its quirks. Pros: What did you like most about Google Docs? The standout "win" for Google Docs is undoubtedly its Ease of Use. You don't need a 400-page manual to figure out how to share a link or change a font. It’s intuitive from the jump. Collaboration Features: The real-time co-authoring is the gold standard. Watching three other cursors dance around a page while you brainstorm is a productivity rush. Cloud Storage & File Syncing: Since it lives entirely in the cloud, I never have to worry about the "Save" button. The File Syncing is instantaneous across my phone, tablet, and laptop, and having everything backed up to Cloud Storage means my work is safe even if my laptop decides to take a permanent nap. Cons: What did you like least about Google Docs? It’s not all sunshine and rainbows. When you push the software to its limits, the cracks start to show. Bugs and Issues: While generally stable, Google Docs can get incredibly "laggy" once a document exceeds 50 or 60 pages with heavy images. I've also run into occasional Bugs and Issues where formatting (especially tables and headers) gets completely mangled when exporting to or importing from a .docx file. Customer Support: If you’re a free user and encounter a technical glitch, good luck. Customer Support is largely relegated to community forums and help articles. You’re essentially your own IT department unless you’re paying for a high-level Google Workspace tier. Describe your overall experience with Google Docs In terms of Value for Money, it’s nearly impossible to beat. For the average person, it’s completely free, and even for businesses, the cost-to-feature ratio is excellent. My overall experience has been overwhelmingly positive. It’s my go-to for 95% of my writing tasks because of its accessibility. While it lacks some of the hyper-advanced desktop publishing Features you might find in Microsoft Word (like complex mail merges or advanced macro support), it compensates with simplicity and seamless connectivity. It’s the quintessential tool for the modern, "always-online" workflow.

Pros

Since it lives entirely in the cloud, I never have to worry about the "Save" button. The File Syncing is instantaneous across my phone, tablet, and laptop, and having everything backed up to Cloud Storage means my work is safe even if my laptop decides to take a permanent nap.

Cons

While generally stable, Google Docs can get incredibly "laggy" once a document exceeds 50 or 60 pages with heavy images. I've also run into occasional Bugs and Issues where formatting (especially tables and headers) gets completely mangled when exporting to or importing from a .docx file.

My overall experience with Google Docs has been smooth and reliable. It’s easy to use, saves time with auto-save, and works great for collaboration. Overall, it’s a convenient tool I can depend on for everyday work.

Pros

Google Docs is a simple and free tool that offers great value for money. It’s very easy to use, with useful features like auto-save and real-time collaboration. Customer support is mostly through help articles, but it works fine. There can be small bugs like lag or formatting issues sometimes. Its cloud storage and file syncing are smooth, so you can access and edit files anytime. Overall, a reliable and convenient tool for daily use.

Cons

Formatting can sometimes break, especially when importing files from other software. It may lag or slow down with large documents or weak internet. Limited advanced features compared to premium tools like Microsoft Word.

Amazing! The product truly satisfies multiple needs both for personal and business use. I've been helping small businesses for years, and always suggest the use of Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, and other Google products over other options.

Pros

The simplicity and multi-functional usage creates the ability to complete tasks easily as well as fulfilling the need to monitor edits and uploads between shared entries.

Cons

Google Docs is my go-to for just about everything document-related, except for filling out PDF's. It would be amazing if there were a way to do that automatically within Google Docs without having to add an extension or use a different platform/app.

How Capterra ensures transparency

Capterra lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. Capterra is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider's website.
