I have been using google docs from over 15 years now and I highly recommend it to everyone over other applications.

Pros

You don’t have to loose your unsaved work anymore. Even if you forget to click save at each step, no need to worry anymore. It will be saved automatically.

Cons

There is nothing you can dislike about google docs. All the required features are incorporated in it already.

I absolutely love Google Docs, use it every day in my bookkeeping work, and have moved all tasks from Microsoft Word into Google Docs instead.

Pros

I love how easy it is to create and use documents on here, regardless of which computer I am using. Plus it's free!

Cons

The default layout is landscape, and I prefer portrait, and sometimes it is hard to search up a document I created a while back.

I've had an overall great experience with Google Docs. This product has allowed group work to be more inclusive and has increased productivity significantly. Members are able to go into documents at their convenience so that contributions can be done asynchronously. This has made a big difference for me since I prefer to go in first or last, depending on the project. Google Docs works well with how my work day schedule is formatted.

Pros

Google Docs allow various members of our team to work on the same document simultaneously. We are always able to refer or revert back to a previous version of the document if necessary. We're also able to give various groups different access to view or comment on the document without the risk of changes being made without permission. The feature to make a copy allows the flexibility to branch the document to a new start when that makes the most sense.

Cons

Sometimes the download feature adjusts the exact layout of the document, moving items around within the document or adjusting the format. It can also be challenging at times to keep track of comments and changes when there are many entered onto the document.

Switched from

[Microsoft Word](https://www.capterra.com/p/227146/Microsoft-Word/)

Google Docs allow for simultaneous work on a document. It reduces the chances that someone will be working on an older version of a document because they didn't receive the most updated one transmitted via email.

Overall, Google docs is my program of choice weather I'm editing documents or using for personal writing projects.

Pros

I like the ease of use that google docs provides. I also love that I can share documents and allow others to comment but not edit. Cloud storage is a huge deal because I have an endless amount of documents coming and going. It automatically puts the last documents you were working on in the front so you don't have to search through a bunch of documents to find the one you need.

Cons

As much as I like using google docs for all its features, I don't like that I cant copy paste with my mouse. I have to download something separate to use the feature which isn't a huge deal, just irritating when I'm rushing through and forget about it.

Ability for a "Live Document" to be shared for collaboration between coworkers is such a benefit! Reduces the time needed to keep scheduling collaborative update meetings

Overall, the ability to have all my docs on any of my devices trumps everything else. If I’m trying to edit something from my phone, i do appreciate less formatting options.

Pros

Google Docs is really easy to use. I like that is is connected to all of my other Google products. I also like that it is easily accessible from any of my devices.

Cons

The worst thing about Google Docs is there are not as many editing tools as Microsoft. There have been a few times I was working on a large manual and the formatting can get bulky.

Well, I’ve been using it now for a little while. I’ve had no choice. I was kind of forced into it, but like I said earlier, my only challenge is the fear of ruining a document and then you know being able to download it sometimes it doesn’t seem to flow as easily for me as I would like it too.

Pros

Well, I like that multiple users can edit a document. That’s pretty cool. And most people have Google so that makes it easy too.

Cons

The fact that everyone can edit the document and sometimes I’ve had difficulty with using the spreadsheet and stuff and kind of messed things up, so that part is kind of iffy for me
