Independent Consultant Market Research Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Expertise with Ease" August 14, 2018 5.0 Pros This is software designed by a team that seem to really get what a market researcher needs - from a data perspective, a quality perspective and also a time saving perspective. It is highly intuitive, logical and above all easy to use. This allows the user to spend time analysing the data and looking for insights, not just crunching the numbers. The software has the best coding functionality I have seen in any program. Literally saving days of time, on any large project. The software is suited to both the novice quantitative researcher, but also provides all the advanced analytics functions that one would need. Q really does make a quantitative researchers life that much easier, and I do genuinely believe helps us deliver better insights to our clients. Cons I have been very impressed with Q throughout my time using it, and there is nothing that I don't like. The Q team are very quick to action any feedback, and if there are any issues they are addressed immediately., making for a high quality service and product. Review Source AJ Alex J. June 15, 2022 5.0 I've been using Q for about 8 years during which I've moved companies multiple times. For the time it can shave off analysis (days if not weeks!), it really is a no brainer. Pros The ability to create filters, weights and segments very easily. Combined with simple cross-tabs means you can get to the story within the data extremely quickly! Cons For someone not familiar, it can take quite a bit of time to learn how to manipulate the data files, but there is a great learning/training tool that explains some of the detail and processes very clearer. It is possible to become self-taught. You can create really advanced cuts and customize them to your liking, then export to separate Excel sheets which makes creating reports really easy. Pros Once you learn it, it's really amazing - has lots of options for survey analysis, reads SPSS files really well (even complex ones) and you can create really advanced cuts with it. Cons Software design is really outdated (looks like something from early 00') and not intuitive. It has a high learning curve. Review Source NW Nathan W. Chief Solutions Officer Market Research Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Good backup to Displayr" June 9, 2022 4.0 Prior to adopting Displayr we used Q to perform data analysis and crosstabs. We now use Displar for all of that and more. However, having access to Q is very nice as there are times when data issues cause problems for Displayr. Q allows us to work with the qpack file (export from Displayr) to fix these issues and then re-upload into displayr. Pros Q Research Software is fairly easy to use and it is software installed on your computer so you do not need internet access to work on your data. Cons We switched the majority of our data processing to Displayr (same company) shortly after it was released. Compared to Displayr Q itself is somewhat limited in functionality. There is a lot of crossover between departments. So although my background is accounting, I am working with Q Research software and doing market research. I've been able to pick it up pretty quickly, and am impressed with what it can do! Pros Q makes it easy to do customized market research and pull valuable information from data. We were able to use customer segmentation analysis to do a really deep dive which resulted in better insight into what we can to to meet our clients' needs most effectively. I like how easy it is to use, and what a timesaver it has been for our office. Cons There are a LOT of features, and although I've been working with it for awhile now, I haven't found all the different that I can use Q. Of course that isn't a bad thing though. The software is so robust, as our needs (and experience) grow, we can get more and more benefit out of this software. Review Source DT DIANE T. Although this software would work well for any size business, I found it to be very valuable to start up entrepreneurs who have not had the real world experience that can be calculated using Q Research Software. Reduces the chances of finding biased information which is unrelated. Low research tools cost that helps in low expenses for the business. Easy to use in research. Cheap to use. Cons Usually produces outdated results that cannot solve the current problem. Cannot work without internet. Cannot show results that can be used in future and long term problems.
