Kept an eye on select/suspicious employees. End result made the company easier to work with and more efficient. Pros Veriato Investigator is very easy to use. It does everything you need to keep an eye on your employees and make sure they are staying on track. Cons Investigator could use a UI/UX update to make it a but more user friendly. Educator Education Management Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Wanted to Try, But Advertised Insurence is not taken & support team will not address issue" June 21, 2021 1.0 Their site says they accept my insurance. I fill out the form. I get an error reading: "Failed to retrieve eligibility information. Error: The eligibility check failed. We could not retrieve your eligibility information. Please try to re-submit your insurance information. If the problem persists, contact support at support@getcerebral.com" So, I contacted support, gave them my insurance info along with screenshots of the error and all I was given was a copy and pasted response that told me to call them (but the email did not list any phone numbers). They also just passed a list of what insurance they take (I'd already written to them indicating that I had insurance in the state and with the insurance company that their own website listed was acceptable). I get to the 4th support person and I included screenshots and copies of the front and back of my insurance card as well as the screen that shows what I typed into each field so they can see there isn't a user error. Not sure if I want to use a service where reported issues aren't investigated. I do not recommend. Pros The sign up seemed easy initially and I liked that it can be done remotely Cons That some as simple as filing my insurance is not taken seriously. They also seem to have this system set up to try to get me to sign up without insurance. I'm not going to do that. If their system isn't taking it, then I feel I might end up holding the bag. I pay too much for insurance for it not to be able to be used. Cons Design, interface, non working features. "New version" is just a simplified layer on top of the same old buggy features, with now LESS control over the settings. Owner / President Information Technology and Services Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Veriato 360 - an IT Pro Perspective" December 19, 2018 4.0 Two of my clients wanted to monitor internet usage on their front desk (dental offices) in particular. We had used a SpectreSoft product to monitor usage prior to that and this was the successor product. In many ways I liked the Spectre program better but it was not centrally managed and it was much more expensive per PC. Pros The software is pretty comprehensive in what it captures and is fairly easy to navigate the logs by machine. Cons It is difficult to load with existing antivirus or antimalware software. You have to be really on your toes and get everything turned off or your AV will kill off the program and the various files which need to be exceptions. As I recall, I think it loads everything in one folder and you can exclude that folder in your AV. At first, I thought you had to put each individual file into the exception list and that was cumbersome. But I chaulk that up to inexperience. My second client which used it went much smoother. Veriato 360 provides detailed information to support HR initiated user investigations. Pros Well designed. Excellent user interface. No issues with setting up and getting running. Cons Ideally I would like monitoring enabled by default on all workstations and for the software to allow me query them. When a demand arises, I can only monitor from deployment onwards and not historically. The Veriato software has added real value to our risk management processes. Pros The ability to monitor the activities related to proprietary activities helps relieve the anxiety associated with potential loss of protected material through electronic transfers. It is easily configured, and does not require a reboot to install. It is highly effective at mitigating Malware attacks. We have had to intervene in 3 such attacks, and they all were limited to a single user and restoration took 15 minutes or less, after the malware was contained. Pros Backups of affected files, and the ability to offer it as a service to our clients Cons The software delivery process. Having to train end-users to avoid the honey-pot files. This product is unobtrusive, and really does give you the information if you dig for it. Deployment, and the administrator dashboard are quirky, feel terribly old school, and it's difficult to find what you need. But, at the end of the day, it does do the job. Pros The software does a great job of capturing what a worker is doing throughout their day. If you have questions on any stats in a report, you can easily review the screenshot footage to find out what was really happening. Cons The interface is rather old and clunky, and it's hard to find the information you need quickly, if you're not a power user every day. Also, upgrades are clunky, too, requiring you to upgrade on the server, and hopefully push out to agents. Finally, it's really hard to know what's happening with an agent. The administrator dashboard could show if the machine had been shut down or restarted or any number of things. Also, deploying agents isn't so clear and sometimes it works, and sometimes not. It’s not super fancy in Regards to the future but it’s functional and clean. The software has a lot of possibility depending on the users you need to record. Cons The installation can be difficult on the client side due to antivirus and and the complexity of the software. Wish you guys offered a tool for parents to use on childrens devices. One that was affordable. Pros Can see screen shots every 30 seconds as well as key strokes. Cons Entirely too difficult to get to the display areas to review the data. Completely derails the the program when a system update takes place. Looking back at their activity makes it easier for us to create procedures on how the job is properly done. Pros The summary feature is fantastic for an overview of the user activities and then zooming down at a user makes finding the needed info a breeze. Cons The subscription model was added after we purchased a licensed version. It created a lot of frustration in our IT department. And of course, monitoring security and safety of my business, including monitoring for sharing of proprietary info and embezzlement. Pros Ability to monitor by business activities closely. Also is excellent when trying to recreate software errors and share them with the developer. Having the ability to show the customer support rep for a software we are having problems with the error as it occurred, step by step, is invaluable and saves times trying to recreate the error. Cons Delay in be able to view. I sometimes have to wait an hour to see what was done on a workstation. A more "real-time" experience would be helpful. Review Source DK Doug K. We've not gotten much value from the product (see above) mainly because we don't have a full-time IT support person on staff to figure everything out. Pros It looks have tremendous capabilities with some great information collection tools. With this comes complexity and installation/operation is not for the novice. Cons Installation and troubleshooting. Excluding from virus protection (Windows 10; have to have subdirectories created before the subdirectory can be excluded..) before installation is complex and the computer we had it loaded on has "black screened" on us twice now.
