September 6, 2017 5.0 Steve V. was a good tech, explained things thoroughly and carefully. I appreciate his help. I have not seen any benefit. Pros Personally I do not enjoy this software. The boss however loves it. I'd imagine the features are pretty useful for auditing and productivity. Cool that it can be pushed and controlled from main server, when that actually works. Cons Its pretty much a keylogger + spyware. The viewer doesnt seem to work over the network although everything is connected in workgroup, hence the issues. The clients stop checking in randomly. Setting up AV exceptions with RMM is surprisingly difficult. I am unsure of the necessity of a program like this for a small company. The installation fee is sort of a bummer, as in its lame that you have to pay for someone to fix the software. Some of the tech's I spoke too (not Steve V. he was wonderful) were not very helpful. Pros I like most that I can manage my licenses from my server directly and make changes. The ability to have the software functioning without me having to check on it on a constant basis lets me worry less about it. Cons The setup is what makes this software hard to use. I use a domain server and it is tricky to install and get the workstations synced with the server properly. I have gotten it to work, but it is a long process of having to go to the individual computers, install the recorder, and change the antivirus permission settings which is a pain. After the configuration, the operation has been seamless and easy. The interface is intuitive and easy to understand. It captures exactly all of the information we require. Pros The vast feature set is the best part of this software. The granularity in the amount of information you can capture is impressive. Cons The configuration. I wish there was some way of automating the whitelisting in different anti-virus softwares. If not set up 100% correct, I find it can consistently get flagged. Review Source CS Crystal S. December 18, 2018 4.0 We evaluated Veriato 360 as part of an ongoing effort to enforce DLP mechanisms. At the end, we decided not to move forward since it had more features/control than we requiredd. Pros The ability to get at a glance overview of employee activities where management requires complete oversight of employees. Pros The ability to record the screen and have forensic evidence of what happened on the PC. If we have any issues with telecommuters not being productive we can see what is going on and discuss the reality with the team member. There is no lying out of the proof this provides. Then the system was modified, and since then it has never worked right. Cons No matter how many times we reached out for technical assistance, we could never get the system to function 100%. Cons The fact that our IT Support company could not get it deployed to our computers. It interfered with our digital security such that individual PCs crashed once it was installed. Our IT Support people reported that "Due to the systems locking up and performance loss we had to remove the software. The staff couldn’t even perform daily duties with software installed."
