No validation against your profile just "poof" your vehicle is gone. Four hours, towing fee, Lyft fee later we recovered it. They refused compensation. Don't let this happen to you, use another method to find parking. Pros Finds a variety of parking spots with some in convenient locations to wherever you are staying in the city Cons They tow your vehicle. Instructions and descriptions were easy to follow. Cons There was some confusion in communicating with the attendants about the QR code found on the app after reservation is complete. Do not use this bogus app. I'm still trying to get my money back but Spothero refuses to do the right thing Pros Beware of this terrible app. I entered my CC info to get price info, saw that it was outrageously expensive so I left. Spothero charged my card anyway and for the last two months I've been trying to get my money back but Spothero refuses to do so and submitted my CC info to my credit card as proof of me using this HORRENDOUS App. I tried a supervisor today and he was just as useless and unprofessional. The app does a great job providing options, and I appreciate that the time is usually extended automatically to allow for more flexibility. It's easy to use and extremely efficient. It's my "go-to" when visiting Boston, New York, and other major cities. Pros SpotHero makes it extremely easy to find parking in major cities. Cons On a few occasions, I've been confronted with a full lot despite my use of SpotHero. It feels as though the "reservation" through SpotHero should take precedence, but that's not always the case. I paid in advance (including an oversize fee) for 3 different garages in New York City, to support a weekend trip my family was making. Each of the 3 garages were specifically listed by Spothero as supporting oversize vehicles up to certain dimensions. (And again, I paid Spothero in advance and received email confirmation: not just for the spot, but for the oversize fee.) Upon arrival, 2 of the garages told me they could not accommodate me at all. And the 3rd insisted that I pay an extra fee on the spot, basically saying “too bad about Spothero; you’re paying us too, and if you don’t like it, move on”. Spothero’s telephone support was “super”; they promised me “credit” and asked me to find another garage… which was impossible. (I ended up finding street parking.) The “credit” never materialized. I followed up twice during the subsequent weeks. Finally, almost 3 weeks later, I got an infuriating response chiding me for not being aware that some garages charge oversize fees in addition to the booking fee. Well, no duh, that’s why I paid it in advance on Spothero (and have receipts from Spothero that says so.) Who needs this aggravation. AVOID SPOTHERO: a complete waste of time and money. I put in to the website that i have a highlander. Most had a fee for oversized cars. I picked one that was more expensive because it didn't have a fee. (Making it cheaper at the end) But in order to get my car out, i had to pay an oversize fee. I contacted Spothero and they promised a refund of the fee. Now they are walking it back and won't give me a refund. Don't trust the prices on their website. You might end up paying more. Pros Nothing. The prices are deceptive. Customer service lies. Pros I really like SpotHero! It's a great convenient way to reserve parking at a discounted rate. I have never had any issues with reserving and was even able to cancel before easily. I was moving out of my apartment and needed a secure parking garage to store my vehicle with my belongings while I was out of country. I called spothero specifically with that request and explained my situation and asked if the parking garage at \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] is completely safe, secure and monitored? I was assured by spothero representative that garages like that one are 100% secure, monitored and PATROLLED 24/7 so nothing ever could possibly happen there. When I came back from out of country I walked into my car being broken into, damaged and burglarized of my entire life. My entire life was gone because because spothero assured me the parking garage is patrolled at all times and I believed it! Rep even checked the garage and address and said 'yeah he's sure its patrolled by security always"! After the matter I spoke with parking garage managerand he said that vandalism happens there on constant basis and noone is there to prevent it!I just really wish I would have never chosen to do what I did and believed a single word of spothero representative to not lose my life because of someone's greediness to sell parking , unprofessionalism and misrepresentation of things that cost me both financial and mental losses I have never experienced in my life.
