We replaced our Outlook contact database with FullContact and it has made mail outs so much easier.

Pros: In Outlook, despite having a contact list that is accessible to everyone in the office, the categories are not global. For example, if I want to categorize a contact as "Christmas Card", I can do that, but someone else (having to create the categories from scratch on their workstation) may categorize another contact "Xmas Card". When we pull a list of all Christmas Card contacts, we will have to sort through a variety of different categories. This is painful. FullContact has global tags that allow us to keep all the categories uniform. Exporting lists for mail outs is extremely simple and we have written macros to manipulate this information - what used to take us hours takes us minutes.

Another reason I LOVE FullContact is that the address fields are separate. Many contact systems just have one box to enter the complete address, which makes it hard to ensure addresses are being added in the same format and makes mail merges a nightmare with lots of manual fixing.

Cons: There is no way to import contacts with separate tags. Anything in the "categories" column in your import excel spreadsheet will be created as a single tag (for example: John Smith; Christmas Card; Halloween Party), which makes it quite tedious to go through and properly tag all of the new contacts, especially if you are moving an existing database from Outlook or another program.

Far better than all its competitors in the market.

Pros: I mainly use FullContact's chrome extension to work as a people identifier for Gmail. If installed properly, there will be a right hand side panel appears on the top. The verification provided by FullContact is 50% more reliable and accurate than some of its competitors like LinkedIn sales navigator, adapt.io etc.. Other extensions only provide LinkedIn account details associated with an email address, but FullContact lists all the social media profiles of that person. The extension works very fast and the panel pops up automatically when we move the mouse over an email address.

Cons: The extension is very difficult in the beginning to function smoothly. Even if you install it and refresh gmail, there won't be anything popped up for few minutes and then suddenly with out doing anything it starts working well. I was totally confused when first trying it. The extension is free but there is a daily limit for the free plan. The price is also not so much attractive for freelancing sales people.

Pros: This is my new favorite app for organizing contacts and segmenting email lists. It is also the only app I have used that will transcribe business cards with 100% accuracy (they use humans to enter info from pictures of cards rather than software, like most other apps). The "merge contact" feature is great and allows you to review the contacts being merged before doing so automatically. It also integrates with Google accounts, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Yahoo. Another great feature is the ability to export data in a file, which you can then upload to your regular CRM software or to Constant Contact.

Cons: One downside is that it could allow for more business cards uploads per month -- 50 is not enough. It should also automatically sync business accounts when individual accounts are updates. Additionally, more tips and resources on how to develop a good contact list would be nice. I also have to say that customer service is a bit slow.

Overall: It imports data found on the internet (such as social media profile URLs, web addresses, etc.) to your contact database. It also uses humans to import data from your business cards using a snapshot (and does so accurately).

Pros: I love that it integrates across so many platforms and is so simple to set up. Made keeping contacts synced a breeze.

Cons: I ended up with duplicates and syncing problems several times. I also didn't have any luck with the scanning feature on the app as it would only scan some cards and then often not upload them. It's also spendy. To be clear, I don't keep a monthly subscription anymore as it's way more than I'm willing to spend for a contact manager that has these issues. I had an issue as well one day where it synced a few extra thousand contacts and I had to manually clean all my contacts, thereby wasting about 3 hours of work time.

Comments: We used FullContact to create a contact list of prospective clients. These details were entered manually over the course of a few weeks, and many hours. When I needed access to our Full Contact list from my personal laptop, I logged into our account and it automatically synced my personal Google & iCloud contacts as well as personal bank details from my laptop without permission. This diluted our business list and gave my employees access to personal and sensitive information. Thinking there must be a way to un-sync the lists, we contacted FullContact and they offered useless advice - and did not have ability correct their error. We have had to delete the list and we will never use FullContact again.

Pros: There are no pros. This is a total waste of time and is dangerous to your database.

Cons: FullContact should not sync anything without permission. Synced accounts should be able to be deleted completely as needed, and contacts should be flagged by synced account. Clients should have control over their contact list, which FullContact currently does not allow.

Recommendations to other buyers: I would avoid this software at all costs. It has wasted time, energy and money for my business and has been detrimental to our sales efforts.

Pros: FullContact is by far the best of the contact managers around today. It's wide range of features from business card scanning, email scanning, and syncing between services like Google Contacts and others make this the best at what it does.

Cons: Not much. The User Interface on mobile, when it comes to reauthorizing is problematic.

Cons: They have upgraded recently their API's and they have removed some functionalities that we have been using before. Just like a batch call to get the users information. I think that should have been better managed.

Pros: For syncing contacts in multiple places, you can't beat FullContact. It's simple to set up, works with most providers, and has great Zapier integration so you can add contacts from multiple custom sources.

Cons: Some of the integration features are not there yet, but I think they will be soon.

Overall: Full contact is an amazing product that allows you to not only collect all your contacts in one place, but they hand transcribe your business cards reducing the scanning errors of other software. It is a great entry level CRM that is great for business owners that like to make notes about contacts, but do not need to have a record of every email or phone call.

Comments: If you need more information on any of your contacts, FullContact is the app for you. In my business, sometimes I only get an email address and/or a first name. Once I put it into FullContact, the magic begins. Lots of programs claim to scour the net to source missing contact info, but this one seems to be the best at it. From just an obscure email address I will be able to obtain a contact's name, social profiles, photo etc. Invaluable.

Pros: FullContact integrates with many other programs. I use the free version, which has been more than adequate so far. The premium version provides instant contact updates , while the free version states contacts are only scanned for updates monthly. The best thing about FullContact is their support. They have live chat and the reps are top notch. They really seem to care and know their stuff. I know that if I have an issue I will be able to get help.

Cons: Syncing with Google Contacts has created some duplication issues for me which are being looked into. Limited ability to create Zaps through Zapier, although they say they are working on expanding that. No integration with Outlook, but apparently that is also in the works.

All of the OCR solutions create more work then they are worth. FullContact reviews any troublesome OCR responses by hand to make corrections. So you can take the photo and be confident the information with make it into your calendar. Cons: Forget about trying to use Outlook Exchange Account with this. It does not capture anything from Outlook and there is no work-around. Cons: The only real issue I had was being rate limited, but this is very normal for API services and FullContact made it VERY easy to know exactly where you are within your limit, which is great!

we've been using it for almost a year, and customer support was very good.

Pros: easy to use and integration. admin panel is clear showing exact rate usage. overall good product....

Cons: somewhat low coverage on users, usually we receive 15-30% at best. Also we need to further augment linkedin accounts, by provided linkedin links, which add costs and time.

Pros: I like the way the endpoints are broken out between person requests and business requests. The newest version of the API made some changes that have resulted in much cleaner code for our requests.

Cons: Although the documentation is fairly robust it took some tweaking to get the information I needed. I personally would have loved documentation in R, but I was able to piece together the curl documentation to get what I needed.

Overall: enrichment of data that we use internally as well as for our clients

Great data sources

Awesome for building personas

Great for personalized marketing

Cons: No integration with Segment yet.

Sometimes can be a lot to sift through

Access has been a little buggy at times, especially when we added the Company API.

Pros: FulContact offers data we cant find with other providers. Our dashboard is enhanced by the visual display of users social data, and our targeting capabilities are also enhanced.

Cons: 1/10 users actually return results. I know there is nothing wrong with this, if a user signs up for our service with 1 email, and uses another for social platforms that is just reality. I would love a feature that at least suggests user profiles for people who FullContact cannot find a definitive profile for.

Overall: Data that we could not receive anywhere else. If social data is something you want/need, FullContact is the place to find it.

Pros: A technical marketer can use the API successfully. The UI is clean and the docs are easy to understand.

Cons: The Hubspot integration feels shaky. I turned it off. I was very, very concerned of accidentally hitting Hubspot's API limits.

Pros: It's free which is great but I found it hard to use and ultimately stopped using the product.

Cons: Clunky and hard to use with my mac. Sync'd contacts as duplicates and also made it hard to easily categorize.

Overall: I am still on the hunt for a contact management platform that works easily with my Mac. Full contact was clunky and hard to use, downloading duplicates and overall not a great fit for my work.

Recommendations to other buyers: Simplify the interface to make it easier to use.

Pros: It is super simple to use and has great integrations with tools like Conspire, allowing you to learn how you are connected to others as well. Does a good job connecting contacts across all devices.

Cons: The free limit is only 1000 contacts, which is not enough for me, and the price point is a bit high for what I need to use it for. Other than that, no complaints.

Comments: I started using FullContact as I was struggling to get my contacts updated and consistent from one account to the other (when you have 8+ email accounts and different devices, it becomes quickly a problem to synchronize everything). It solves this problem but it could do so much better! The good thing is that the team seems to be working hard on it and I see interesting feature updates on a regular basis.

Pros: I like the ability to export into csv and manipulate the data/order on my own. It is really easy to get started and develop contact lists .

Cons: Difficulty working with the API without a developer on head. I feel as though I'm missing some information because I'm not utilizing an API key. I also don't understand why it takes so long to pull in a few dozen new contacts (emails -> social profiles)

Overall: The most important benefit is getting social profiles from known email addresses.

Pros: I love how when I meet someone at an event or trade show, I can take a picture of their business card, tag it, makes notes from our conversation. I don't have time to type their information into my CRM, so this is a big time saver.

Cons: I wish Nimble(my CRM) had their API integrated into their platform. Not FullContact's fault, it's just the way Nimble chooses to go.

Overall: Saves time. Improves my follow up. Tracks my conversations through their notes feature.

Pros: It was very easy to integrate this into our app and the data it produced was very accurate and up to date. A lot of times on other platforms the data is old, not on Full Contact.

Cons: The price. There is a free platform, but if you really want to use it fully you have to at least buy the per month package. And higher packages were too expensive for us.

Overall: The data is very usable and reliable. Plus it is up to date.

Pros: I like access to this type of data. It is a good core on which FC can add more enrichment. If you are open to added data types...please let me know.

Cons: FC would be well served to build "components" from which a business person can call API. This non-IT person could inherit from FC components and get out of the JSON/API world. You customer is guys like me more than IT.
