I can only say I WISH I was better at using - but that is On ME as the opportunity to learn is there, ALWAYS someone available to respond to your inquiry and there is Syft Campus - which has been helpful too.Perhaps there could be some "online boot camp" week long session(s)/education (to make me dedicate the uninhibited time to focus my learning to become an expert user). In a time where online learning/self-service is prevalent, having a cohort with dedicated time together in learning sessions uninterrupted might be a great catalyst to onboarding and becoming an expert user (my ultimate goal). Pros The most impressive feature for me is the advance reports that you can build per client and give them live access to their data. The Data Visualization is on point. Cons Many functions, of the product that was sold to us, does either not work or integrate properly. 1 - Syft do not fully integrate with SageOne. (If you make use of different departments & VAT audit reports) Thus, currently we can't send accurate reports to our clients that use SageOne. 2 - We paid a yearly subscription fee which included the Syft audit function, however a few months in we were told to pay additionally for this function. After a discussion with them, they eventually agreed to include the function for the duration of our yearly subscription. This made us rethink to renew our subscription, as the product and the initial features that attracted us to it, has become unaffordable. 3 - We made adjustments on some of our journals in Xero (Changed the descriptions), these new descriptions do not pull trough to Syft. After multiple attempts to refresh the company on syft, we contacted our account manager to help refresh the connection, but the updated descriptions still do not reflect on Syft's reports. 4 - If you use the Live Report Feature and want to go into detail of per account, the dates per transactions are incorrect. 5 - One of the frustrating features is that you cannot refresh multiple companies at the same time. 6 - It is not possible to import budgets in Syft. 7 - The cash flow function does not take the VAT into account. Integrating it with Xero is the most effortless exercise. Which gives you time to review and analyse data. My clients are very happy with the management reports that I send to them each month as they are professional and easy to read. I do recommend it for any type and size of an entity. Cons So far I haven't heard a significant problem. So far so good. No need to be importing files everytime a change is made on the figures. The automation feature is great, it literally cut our time by way more than half. Now all our clients get their management accounts monthly and timely. Cons Syft should allow for more data manipulation eg journals or re-allocating of items at report level. Pros Syft Analytics is a game changer. In a busy working environment like ours, where we serve a large and diverse number of organization, i have found that Syft Analytics has made it easy to produce reports in just a click of a button. The variance column also help me analyse my transactions if they were allocated properly to their classes, and i can drill down to my accounting system and identify transactions making up a certain amount. Review Source VR Verified Reviewer Owner Accounting Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Beautiful Reports for Every Business & Great Tool for Combining Multi-Companies" November 29, 2022 5.0 I specifically tried Syft because I was looking for a way to combine reports across multiple companies that were using separate QuickBooks Online accounts in order to provide an overview of profits to stakeholders. Syft worked wonderfully for this purpose and has been invaluable to providing this insight. Now I can provide reports much quicker because I'm not having to manually combine the data in excel sheets. I also found that it makes all reports look beautiful and professional and I love the additional insights, like the forecasting and KPI's. Once it's setup it's pretty easy to use. Pros Honestly, I love the visual appeal the most, the reports are pleasant to look at and I also love the amount of customization that you can do with the reports. Other than that, I have been impressed with the KPI's and forecasting. It makes presenting financial reports engaging and fun. Cons One thing that I don't like, is it seems to have a long lag time between the integration with QuickBooks. While I'm customizing reports in Syft I sometimes find things that need to be recategorized within QuickBooks, so I'll login to QuickBooks and quickly make that change. Sometimes it will be hours or even the next day before the new data shows up in Syft. This can delay getting reports finished and it can be frustrating at times. I also felt like setup was tedious, but the trade-off is the customization and that takes a lot of mapping to get it right. Review Source ZM Zaakiya M. The link between Syft and other accounting software in order to synchronize information is effortless and user friendly. Cons Forecasting can only be created through importing an excel sheet or through importing from other software. It does not allow a free hand projection that sometimes our clients request as they desire to create this in a specific way. Pros I loved that syft basically does all the reporting that a student may struggle to compile. There are no errors given that information is correctly entered.The syft team provides additional support which makes it easier to navigate the app. As a student I found it very easy to use the app as the features were straight forward and easy to understand. Cons I pretty much did not struggle at all with Syft but I wished they had the basic recording narrations so you can just copy and paste without having to repeatedly write almost the same thing.
