When my computer was damaged, I was able to log on to a different computer, and despite being significantly out-of-date, the computer worked seamlessly with OneDrive, allowing me to access all the files I needed right then and there. I wasn't always a fan, but now I can't say enough good things. Pros OneDrive has allowed me to easily sync my documents across multiple devices, just by signing in to my account. From work, from home, from anywhere, I can log-in and access everything I have saved. It's become such a convenient way to save documents and keep everything backed up, that I often forget it is there until I switch to another computer/device. Plenty of storage with our plan, quick, easy and automatic file uploads, and the ability search my drive has allowed me to streamline my workflow immensely. Well worth the cost, just like every other Microsoft Office program. Cons OneDrive did not start out great for those who used it both on their home computers and work computers, but it has improved. I love that I can open my folders on my thumb drive, open OneDrive, and simply drag a file or PDF from one to the other. Easy peezy. I also can invite others in my organization to share a file and I have complete control over whether they can edit or simply view the file. This keeps control in my hands (or in the hands of the creator of the file) but gives access across our organization to anyone with the link. If they ever improve the download speeds for larger files it would honestly be close to perfect for my needs. We can also file sync across devices and easily and securely share files. It is a helpful tool, great for access, backup, and collaboration. Without a doubt, OneDrive is my go to. It is linked to my OneNote which has been critical for me to access all of my notes across the different devices. Rarely do I have an issue with being able to access my OneDrive files. Pros I have two OneDrive accounts, one for personal usage and one for work. As a file storage system it is flawless. Using OneDrive personal, I am able to store huge amounts of files and media. I have been able to tie it to my Plex Account for video. For work, I love the fact that I can be on my mobile device, laptop, or anywhere else and have full access to my files. Even iOS supports OneDrive! Cons Sometimes the speed of OneDrive isn't awesome. Syncing can be somewhat slow, especially if the files are large. For video streaming, I have to use Rai Drive with OneDrive which makes Plex work smoothly. Review Source YM Yasmin M.
