We were able to simplify many of our collaboration tasks. He also helped us with the hardware migration, since we focused on acquiring more robust equipment with SSD solid state hard drives while increasing our spending, since we spent a large part of the storage in the cloud. Pros What we liked the most was the amount of storage it offered per user. We were also impressed that it comes bundled with our office 356 and email solution. Additionally, together with the Share point tool, its use is optimized. Cons I particularly don't like that it is not a highly adopted solution by third parties. Many of our customers and business partners use Google Drive and not One Drive services. This makes file sharing and collaboration not totally transparent. Pros Easy of file sharing and collaborative work together. Simple and easy use windows for anyone to use. Ability to use it anywhere and on any mobile platform. Very reliable and fast. Cons Guess its only the pricing but heard from a few experts that is lacking privacy, where Microsoft can access data which they have heard. But it was not a subject matter I knew of. Needing to transfer things across my devices is very important for me and that mainly what I use the software for along with the storage space. Pros What I like most about this software is that I can download it on multiple devices and share any content that I may need at the time and be able to have that content anywhere I go, weather I'm using my phone, tablet or computer. I also liked the real time sync so I'm able to transfer files and pictures and keep working without waiting for them to be transferred. The storage space is also a plus. Anytime your running out you can always purchase more. Cons What I like least about this software is that when you do save things on one drive and your ready to delete something it gets deleted all across your devices instead of the one spot your deleting if from. I may delete something on my computer then when I need it on my phone well it's already gone. So if there was an option to delete only on that particular device, I think that would be very helpful. Like when I am not connected to the internet while editing on one device and I make edits to the doc on another device, when I am reconnected to the internet it will list and highlight my conflicting edits automatically and have me approve changes or discard them one at a time. Pros I like the cloud storage capability and that the navigation when looking for files is easy to use. It sets it up based on last opened and edited, and if you make changes you don’t like and want to undo you can find old versions of files based on what time you edited them which is very helpful. Cons It is hard to find a way to recover a draft when you accidentally delete one—however, I understand that this is why they make you confirm you are deleting a draft when you do to avoid total file loss so it is more of a user issue. En las reuniones, puedo acceder a la documentación necesaria desde cualquier PC, incluso de mi celular. Es fantástico. Pros Puedes tener todas las carpetas de tu ordenador en la nube, es decir, si cambias de equipo sólo debes iniciar sesión y tendrás todo ahí. Puedes trabajar en las aplicaciones de office del escritorio, no es necesario trabajar en las aplicaciones web, a medida que avanzas automáticamente se va guardando y sincronizando en a web. Puedes crear y eliminar carpetas y subcarpetas. Cons si bien es una herramienta personal, de cada usuario, sería interesante poder crear sitios de onedrive. It's easy enough for most users and has enough options for power users to not feel bogged down or too limited. Pros As part of an existing Microsoft 365 subscription, this allows you to deploy a managed file sharing and collaborative tool without having to spend extra money. Easy to implement/deploy. Cons The browser interface isn't the most attractive and if you don't plan accordingly, many of the most used features may require setup by your IT department or System Admin. If you are a Microsoft user, it's a no-brainer to use this to safely save anything and everything you'll need. I have tons of personal and professional files stored in OneDrive and I never have to worry about losing files again. Its been very easy to organize and access my files from anywhere, but even if you aren't organized, their search function is great. I use this at least 10 times a day. It's quick, easy, and helps to ease my mind that everything from my business financial files to baby photos of my children are secure and will never be lost. Pros I'm a lifelong PC user and a small business owner. I love being able to have my personal and professional files safe and easily accessible from any device I'm using (phone, tablet, laptop). With my Office 365 subscription, I can also add my business partner and kids to my OneDrive account so that all of our documents, photos, and links are available to whoever needs them. It's also easy to upload, organize, and share files and links. Cons I use OneDrive to store and backup all my documents and I love it. My only issue has nothing to do with OneDrive itself, but rather that some of my clients prefer to use Google Drive because it's free and they don't need a paid account to have a shared cloud drive. Because of this, I often have to use both drives. However, because I trust OneDrive, I always save everything there first before uploading a copy onto Google Drive. Using Azure AD Connect to synch usernames and passwords with the local domain, users have an SSO experience even while utilizing the full benefits of cloud-based file storage. Pros You can access your files from anywhere you have access to the Internet. The latest updates allow you store all your files in the cloud while having access to them from your PC through Windows Explorer, too, allowing access to them from within every application. However, they take up no space on your hard drive until you open them--brilliant! So if you have a small SDD drive on your laptop, problems with storage space just got solved. After you've worked with the file, simply return it to the cloud and free up your hard drive space again. Need to share a file or folder with someone? That's a cinch, as you create a share link from within Windows or through the OneDrive interface on the web, choosing to allow editing or read only access, as well as whether the link should expire after a certain period of time. Sharing a link to a document means your recipient can access the latest version whenever the link is clicked. If you work on the file through Office 365, then the collaborative opportunities are opened, as you can work on a file together. OneDrive is perfectly integrated into all Office 365 apps as well as Windows 10 itself (just make sure to have the latest version of Windows installed to take advantage of OneDrive's latest innovations). One last trick OneDrive does is to preview some file types even if the associated app is not installed (browser only). Cons While it will back up files you explicitly place in your machine's OneDrive folder, by copying them to the cloud, it does not perform system backups. This has been a cloud-based file hosting mechanism, such that it allowed multiple users access within our team to the information at the same time and synchronize in real time when connected to the internet or save the update on the file and update the system file when connected to the internet. It allowed me to create a duplicate of the physical filling system in the cloud as a backup, as such that I could upload or download files from the cloud storage at any point. Pros The platform is an all-user cloud-based storage service, that allows free space for user that might not afford the subscription storage service fees and minimal subscription fees for user who can afford. The platform provides a secure back up options for user. Whereby users can store a soft copy duplicate of the physical file and soft copy would be downloaded and accepted a true copy of the physical file in the event of a damage to the hard copy. The platform is a website platform meaning there is no set up cost except for the minimal cost in the PC and internet cost The platform allows multiple access user at the same time and synchronize in real-time. And so, no physical files movement is required between user as this is done in the cloud and in real-time. The platform does not require any user training before use as any user with basic username and password knowledge can use it. Which this is the basic user requirement for this platform. It reduces the user back up or security cost as the storage is the cloud. which is a secure and act as an offsite back up. And so, no need for user offsite backup cost Cons I have had no challenges with this platform in the last 6 years from 2016. It offers rights-restricted access and other controls to maintain document integrity. Pros It works just like other Office based solutions. The UI is easy to work with and very intuitive. I save everything to my OneDrive so that I can access it from anywhere I wish. With OneDrive, when I upgrade my computer or replace it, I don't have to transfer any files or data - because it is all cloud based and accessible as long as I have my username and password. It works flawlessly and has been a game-changer in the hybrid world of work. Cons Depending on your internet connection and file size, documents can be slow to upload/download. This is not a unique issue to OneDrive, but more of an observation vs. using local storage on a pc. The overall experience has been great considering I'm a Mac / iPhone user. I don't use One Drive as a main computer backup / Sync but mostly to upload backups of large files (I'm a video editor) so I use the website directly. I do have all my Word, Excel , Powerpoint files in One Drive and some of them in collaboration / sharing with my life partner. I use the desktop apps of each one of them. The 365 family plan is a no brainer if you're living with someone who's benefited with tools like Office and needs a good and reliable storage with great security and encryption. Mobile apps are great too and with awesome integration with Apple / Google apps. Pros The fact that it's included in the whole Microsoft package make it a very complete and an atractive option for data / files storage while still using the basic Office Tools. The encryption security is very strong too Cons Sometimes it crashes, specially when you access it from the website. It also fails to reproduce some media files from the website. You have to download them.
