Deploying NAKIVO directly as a native application on our local NAS hardware to protect our VMware virtualized environment created a lean, highly efficient architecture. Pros What I like most about NAKIVO Backup & Replication is its lightweight architecture and seamless local integration. Being able to install the application directly as a native app on our NAS storage eliminates the need for a dedicated backup server or extra operating system licenses, keeping our VMware hypervisor free from unnecessary overhead. Whenever we've had questions or needed help, the team has been responsive, knowledgeable, and actually helpful rather than just going through the motions. On top of that, the pricing is reasonable for what you get. For a product that protects business-critical data day in and day out, the value is hard to argue with. After more than seven years, we're still happy customers and would recommend NAKIVO to anyone looking for a reliable backup solution. Pros We have been using this product over 7 years now, our company and customers data has been safe ever since. We are still a happy customers of Nakivo products. Cons Some licenses comes in bundles, which is not cost effective to buy licenses you do not actually use. It does what each of them needs at the lowest possible cost. Pros It is a simple and intuitive product, yet extremely powerful. With so many backup scenarios available, you can offer it to all your customers—it is truly a solution for everyone. With a very small financial investment, you can provide backup solutions for big and small customers. Cons You need to keep your updates and maintenance subscription renewed in order to receive support in the event of a disaster. I would highly recommend it to any organization looking for a reliable, cost-effective backup solution. Pros One of the biggest advantages is the pricing model. NAKIVO delivers enterprise-level features at a very competitive price, making it an outstanding value compared to other backup solutions we've evaluated. Cons There isn't much to dislike. If I had to suggest one improvement, it would be the addition of a more structured certification and training program for administrators. While the documentation and support are excellent, an official certification path would be a great way to help IT professionals validate their expertise. I'd also like to see continued enhancements to reporting customization. Overall, the product has exceeded our expectations. The software just works perfectly in the background, and I haven't had a single issue with my backups. What really stands out is the customer service. Whenever I have a question, my dedicated contact person responds incredibly fast, and the communication is always smooth and friendly. It’s a totally stress-free solution with great personal support behind it. Highly recommended! Pros Easy to use and very reliable. Every product requires good suport, the account management team are super responsive everytime I have needed them and the technical support is 2nd to none. Pros Solid product that offers similar features to the market leaders at a better pricepoint, all backed up by a great support channel. Absolutely fantastic product. Cons The product has very little not to like. Every time I think it would be nice to have this or that, its like they read my mind and the feature is coming in the next release. Their development team are very much in tune with real world needs. The product just seems to get better with every iteration. You can do everything - setup, scheduling, recovery, and monitoring - straight from the browser. I couldn’t find anything close to that in the open-source world. It’s also super easy to maintain and troubleshoot. The logs are clear and detailed, and the docs actually make sense (which is rare). I had a working backup for my Linux server in under five minutes, even without knowing the product beforehand - that’s how straightforward it is. Cons The only downside is the price, which can feel a bit steep if you’re just using it for a home lab. But considering how solid and long-term the solution is, I’d say it’s totally worth paying a bit more for peace of mind and ease of use.
