Pros: Indeed has such a large user base, it is easy to gain many candidates in a short period of time. I like being able to customize my pay by day or month. The job posting process is simple and easy to complete. Their resume database is an excellent tool for sourcing.

Cons: The templates are difficult to use, you cannot create a new template without sending it to a candidate. My biggest struggle is once you reject an application, you cannot find it by searching. You must navigate to the reject candidates for that specific job, and scroll through to possibly find it. I find this most bothersome, as occasionally an applicant gets lost or mislabeled, and finding it is very difficult. Indeed is a great source for bringing on new people, but it just doesn't have the functionality I need in the recruiting process. I upload all my Indeed hires into my separate ATS just to keep it all in line.

Overall: Most of my hires do come from Indeed. For all the shortcomings, it really makes up for it in applicant flow. The ability to customize pay per click has helped my budget and need for candidates work together in the best way. Also, my account manager has also been lovely to work with. He goes above and beyond to make sure everything is going well, and checks in regularly to see if he can provide any help.

Pros: As someone who's been an applicant and has acted on behalf of the hiring manager, I have to admit Indeed is the cream of the crop when it comes to the American Job Search Engine. As an applicant, Indeed seems to have the largest and most current job listings with specific keywords/titles/salary/location requirements that I need and demand. It's also an incredible resource to view company salaries and employee reviews - all in one platform. With customizable emails, it's also super helpful to receive daily/weekly jobs, namely jobs specific to you and your tastes. While Indeed has not been my exclusive path to career success, it has had the most impact on my hiring.

Cons: As for cons... these typically come about when acting as the individual in charge of handling the online indeed account for the company. You can't beat the features and benefits of Indeed, but occasionally you'll list a position for a set number of days, with a budget, and it's possible you still receive beyond minimal applicants. And a number of those that do, do not have the experience the position requires despite the required/preferred application questions. Many of the times this has happened we have asked for a refund since the only real use we received as the company was the visible post, not viable applicants. However, CS cannot/will not sympathize with the lack of success with your job posting. Which, I understand as a business trying to make money, is ultimately a waste of time and money on our end.

Of all the job-sites our positions were posted on, Indeed produced the most responses.

Pros: I love the large amount of responses from candidates using Indeed. Indeed is a job-site that probably most job-seekers use, so it is incredibly beneficial to have positions posted on it. I've heard from hundreds of candidates I've interviewed (work at a Recruitment Agency) that Indeed is their main source of job-seeking. And that the Indeed App is easier for them to use than the monster app or any other. From an employer side, customer service was always excellent, we'd even get phone calls from Indeed Sales team checking in on how everything is going for us.

Cons: There were many times our position was filled and removed from job boards, however we would still get high response from candidates through Indeed. It seemed there was a lapse of time before our job was removed for job-seekers view.

Overall: This gave us the highest number of job seeker applications than any other job board we would use.

Pros: I really like that it saves your recent searches, so when you are trying to go back and continue to look for new jobs they are easy to jump back to. I am also a big fan of the mobile app, I think it is very user friendly and allows you to filter to just see new job postings. You can also easily apply to jobs if you have already input your resume information into your account. I also like that you are able to mark certain jobs if you have or are going through the interview process.

Cons: Because it is such a huge job searching website you have to know exactly what kind of job and location that you are looking for jobs. On the mobile app there is a "back" and a "home" button when scrolling through job postings that do the same thing. I think its not necessary to have both buttons. It does not cause a functionality problem, its more an aesthetics thing.

Pros: Indeed is probably the most widely used recruiting tool and for good reason. The interface is easy to use and the analytics are great. Promoting posts can be done in a variety of ways to fit our businesses needs. Our customer support rep, is great too! Big companies can benefit from Indeed pulling posts from their website too! They are always rolling out new features.

Cons: Billing can sometimes be confusing but our rep was very helpful in explaining the cycles. Can be expensive for cost per click. Need to repost tough to fill positions monthly in order to keep them in front of candidates.

Overall: I've used Indeed for working with several companies and love the fact that they can help tailor a plan that fits each business's needs!

Pros: Indeed offers many jobs that are not on other sites! The 'apply with your Indeed resume' feature is wonderful for job hunters that spend a great deal of time reviewing job descriptions to find jobs they are qualified for. Some jobs have an 'interview' consisting of 3-7 questions that are designed to confirm you meet the required qualifications. And these also sometimes ask if you are legally able to work in the US, expected salary if you are willing to undergo a background check or any other requirements the company has.

Cons: There is no "flag" within the job list to indicate you have applied for a job. In order to determine that you have in fact previously applied, you must select the job, and in the details of the job description, the "apply" button contains a check mark indicating you have already applied. This would be beneficial to also see in the search list of jobs to the right of the 'apply with your Indeed resume' feature so you did not have to waste time looking at jobs you have already applied for.

Overall: I am able to easily apply for many jobs I cannot find at other sites. There is a record of all my applications and saved jobs. And of course an app for my phone!

Pros: Easy to navigate, search and upload. This is the most user friendly site I have used for employment searches. It allows you to easily upload your own resume and it automatically populates all of the info. into their format, which you can edit too. You also have the option to get notifications of jobs in your field and area. With the push of a button, you can easily apply to the vast number of jobs listed and you even get notification of your resume being viewed by the employer.

Cons: I have yet to run into any issues while using this program. The only minor thing I have noticed is that if your job search is for remote positions, it will notify you of jobs that do and do NOT allow remote positions. It must be the word "remote" that prompts it to happen.

Overall: Access to a wide variety of employers and user friendly format.

Pros: As a user of indeed in a job search engine has been great for career oriented positions. You can post your resume for potential employers to find you based on experience, skill set and desired salary. The amount of quality jobs are good and I prefer this over other sites (Monster, LinkedIn, Craiglist). The job postings you can sometimes apply using your Indeed profile / resume or for more corporate jobs it will link you to their HR page on the exact same job posting.

Cons: As a recent college graduate, I hope there would be a filter to look for jobs that match my experience and degree for a entry level job. Most of the time I find myself sifting through listings that require more than my ability.

Overall: Overall I found great employment opportunities with legitimate companies and corporations. Although I'm still looking for better employment it's been my go to source. Monster.com is the worst, every Uber / Lyft driver puts up stupid ads trying to get people to use there referral code. Linkedin is like facebook, but I don't like their setup nor job listing quality. Criaglist is really only helpful for odd jobs and for high school students. Indeed is by FAR the best website, simple and easy to use with excellent results / opportunities

Pros: We use Indeed Resume and there are always a multitude of candidates even for obscure searches. Within the past few months Indeed has implemented a lot of new marketing, added services, and benefits. The resume quality has definitely improved.

Cons: The user interface - it is simply just not attractive.
Sometimes my saved search results that are emailed to me daily are not anywhere close to matches.
I wish they would allow us to pay less and receive the candidates contact information. Their contact information used to be free. Then they changed to having to get the candidate's permission to share their contact info with you (my favorite) and now you have to pay to contact the candidate with no contact information or guarantee that they will even see your message.
When contacted anywhere from 15 to an upwards of 50 candidates a day it really starts to add up!

Overall: Resumes and up to date information on when a candidate updated their information.

We've used Indeed several times to hire for our company.

Pros: I really like that Indeed lets me choose several questions that applicants must answer. It really helps us to narrow down our candidates, especially if we're looking for someone with specific skills. It's really easy to post a job and maintain it, and I like that I can turn off the posting whenever. It's really cost effective to leave the job posting live for however long I want and be able to turn it off. Some other sites will require you to leave the post active for a certain amount of time, so I like the flexibility that Indeed gives me.

Cons: One thing that is a con but is not in Indeed's control, is that some applicants will give false information to the mandatory questions we ask. For example, if I want to hire people who lives within ten miles of my office, I might require all applicants to answer that question. There are always going to be some applicants who answer, "yes, I live within ten miles to your location," when in reality they don't. But that is not something that Indeed can control.

Overall: I get great employees from this software! Every time I have used Indeed, I have successfully found an employee. I will definitely continue to use this website in the future.

Indeed is one of my top sources for finding candidates still!

Pros: Not too far behind Linkedin, Indeed is where the majority of our candidates come through. We use it to post our roles, sponsor roles to drive more traction on hard to fill requisitions, and also for purchasing a couple resume subscriptions for a proactive sourcing approach. I cannot imagine using Indeed as an ATS though (my previous company used to screen candidates in the backend), but for generating candidates, absolutely - you need Indeed! It tops any other source.

Cons: It's not the easiest to go through my Account Manager. I have been assigned a new one quite frequently. It's certainly not efficient - my account manager is handling hundreds of other accounts it seems so getting a response is like pulling teeth. I've tried reaching out to support as well, and they refused to talk to me even though I proved I was a team member using the email address on file! The billing is pretty confusing as well - to be frank, it's messy when you're a recruitment company that recruits behalf of many clients.

Overall: We absolutely need Indeed to get candidates - our applicant tracking system makes sure to post on Indeed for us.

I use Indeed daily for job searching and exploring the job market for my clients.

Pros: I love that Indeed allows an in depth search in the job market. I work as a job developer helping people find work, and with all the unique job goals I love using Indeed. It is updated hourly, allows you to use key words, really hone in on what is competitive and available in the job market. I also love the advanced search options, it really helps narrow in on what i'm specifically looking for.

Cons: I don't like that Indeed allows recruiters to post staffing agency things. This clouds up the market as we only look for permanent and direct hire positions. I also don't like that things stay on for 30+ days. At that point, usually the positions are filled.

Overall: It helps me find the perfect opportunities for my clients to apply to in a quick and easy way.

In addition, you can filter out staffing agencies by using our Advanced Search, www.indeed.com/advanced_search. At the bottom of the page select "Exclude staffing agencies". Lastly, if a job appears on Indeed this means the employer has actively posted the job themselves and should mean that they are hiring for the position. Pros: No installation necessary as it is web-based.
Compatible with mobile apps for "new age" job seekers
Can post for free for lower priority jobs - easy to set budget (and change it) for sponsored ads
Easy to integrate with Applicant Tracking Systems
Sales team is great about checking in to see how things are going and make suggestions for improvement

Cons: In order to get the full benefit from the site, you need to spend, that includes branding, resume database, and other value-add features.
Highly competitive for the same job seekers, as there are many employers looking for the same types of candidates. Working in healthcare, it can be hard to find qualified candidates regardless of the sites being used.

Pros: Indeed allows you to search for jobs either by keyword or by location and - even in my small town - immediately shows job opportunities with a large variety of employers. Company reviews by current or former employees are available for many companies, so you'll know whether it's a place that you would like to work. You can apply for a job directly from the link - sometimes with only one click, if you've uploaded your resume beforehand. If you're not ready to apply, you can save interesting jobs so that you can easily find them later. Indeed can also send you daily emails of jobs that may be right for you (based on your resume and qualifications) and offers email subscriptions that will alert you when a new job is posted that matches your keywords. You also have the option to make your resume viewable by employers, who can reach out to you if they like what they see.

Cons: Lots of ways to sort available jobs (by date, relevance, salary, location, etc.) but no way to filter by type of job (office, construction, or what have you.) In order to find a specific type of job, you either have to browse through all of the results or come up with the just the right keyword(s) to search.

Overall: I found job opportunities that I hadn't seen anywhere else, especially in local newspaper classifieds - and have had one employer reach out to me after less than two weeks because she liked what she saw on my resume.

We have been using Indeed for many years, but recently have been asked to sponsor our jobs.

Pros: Indeed is very easy to use and is also used by many professionals across every industry. It is easy to post a job, search for candidates, or search for jobs.

Cons: As a recruiting firm, we have, at any given time, over 100 jobs that are real and open. We have been able to use Indeed's free posting, until recently. It seems a bit unrealistic for us to sponsor over 100 jobs.

Pros: I love indeed and have actually been hired through indeed.com at the last 3 positions I've applied for. I love the quick apply option. Once you get your profile and info/resume uploaded and updated, you have the option for quick apply which is exactly as it sounds. It is so easy!

Cons: Sometimes the really interesting job posts that come along are not quick apply so indeed may reroute you to the company's main website to apply. It's not terrible but it can take quite a long time. Not every job posting is a quick apply. lol

Overall: I have received the last 3 places of employment through indeed. Even temp positions listed on indeed are worth applying for if there is long term positions needing to be filled :)

Pros: What I like most is that they have a ton of reach and you get a lot of applicants. When I syndicate posts out through various ATS' almost all of the responses are from Indeed.

Cons: Two things -

#1 - They bait and switch recruiting companies, and that is what I hate about them most. They have no set rule that if you are an external recruiting company, you have to pay to post your jobs. Their only internal rule is that you can't post jobs that are the same as another posting out there. They started blocking our posts through Bullhorn, even though I personally rewrote the job descriptions to be one hundred percent unique and generic. The only solution? Pay to promote my posts. Then they'll be allowed. What kind of racket is this? You want applicants, you HAVE to pay us.

I'd even be OK with that if that was just their policy upfront, but all sales people say the same shady thing of "oh someone in our review team flagged these for some reason, it's a black box we don't really know why, but pay to promote and they'll be fine!"

#2 The second thing I hate about Indeed, and as a result I never paid for it, is that you get 99% irrelevant and bad candidates. The vast majority have nothing to do with your job posting, with horrible resumes and experience. Since candidates can quick apply to tons of jobs, they just click apply to everything. This becomes a HUGE waste of time when sorting through candidates.

All in all, extorted to pay to use the software just to get crappy results? No thanks.

Indeed is a great tool for career development.

Pros: Indeed provided me with many opportunities to view open job listings that were in my field. Indeed provides estimated compensation for certain positions based on location and experience. I found this tool very helpful when discussing compensation in multiple positions. Another feature that is effective is the ability to search by state or city. This is powerful when looking for positions in certain geographic areas of the world. I do enjoy that the majority of job postings are realistic and state what expectations are needed to apply.

Cons: One con that I did notice frequently when using Indeed is that some job postings are quite delayed in being removed from the website when the job has been filled. I do not believe this is a con of Indeed itself as it probably relies on the company posting the job to provide updated information regarding the position.

Pros: The use of indeed helped me find my last job. The search window is simple to use and the results it brings up are mostly relevant, including geographically close to where you live. Not only was I able to connect with my current employer through it, but it also offers some other interesting features:
-search through similar CV's to see what others competing for the same jobs are emphasizing
-the salaries area helped me gauge where I'm at, and you can also look at indeed.co.uk to look at salaries abroad in the UK for instance.

Cons: In the resume area, your current employer may find you looking for a job, if you are not careful. They do not use your name, resumes are supposed to be anonymous, but a few people had their name in the cover letter.

Overall: Indeed helped me find my new job. It is simple to use, and offers concise, thorough, relevant search results as a job seeker. It also allows jobseekers to browse the CV section, so you get a feeling for what your peers are saying in your job market. I also used the competitor Glassdoor, but found Indeed is cleaner and updated more often. The salaries section of Indeed also lets you compare your own salary to that of other industries.

Pros: The ease of use to search for resumes for individuals that fit with my qualifications requires for each position available. I like being able to set specific questions to answer for applicants to find out if they have met the basic minimum requirements for a specific job.

Cons: It can be frustrating at times that as an employer I am not able to view an applicant's email or phone number on their resume and that it must first go through the Indeed email process. Pros: The notifications, ease of use, support, billing, filtering, boost options...there are a lot of good things in this product.

Cons: There does seem to be an issue with a potential candidate clicking your advertisements multiple times and I get charged multiple times...

Pros: I'm blown away at the features that Indeed has to offer for FREE! It is a supplemental ATS that I use daily to help "cast a wider net" and attract candidates that might not have considered my company before. I love the ease of use, the sleek design, the modern interface, and more. The drop downs that you can use for pre-screening questions, requirements, etc. are incredible!

Cons: Certain keywords and phrases are not allowed. Other than that, I don't have anything negative to say. They provide a great product for FREE!

Overall: Incredibly easy to use!

Pros: I'm big on user interface. If I don't need to fiddle around with menus and complex workflows I consider it a win. Indeed is laid out in the simplest way possible. Navigating many categories is easy and flows naturally. Indeed also makes previously visited pages easily identifiable so you don't waste your time.

We use this software for hiring regularly, in fact I found this job on Indeed. We've found that works better than competing software for managing applications.

Cons: The mobile view can use a little bit of work. What's gained in the desktop view is lost in the mobile view. It can quickly seem cramped and ill designed. Most Indeed users will be on desktop so I understand the neglect.

Overall: Indeed has made application management and hiring a breeze. I don't have much time to be constantly filtering through resumes or cover letters manually and this service has changed my workflow in the hiring process. We're a small company and our time is valuable so Indeed does well for us.

Pros: This is a great site with a great, intuitive tool and company resources that are educated and understand how to find candidates qualified to individual company persona definitions.

Cons: Customer service experience with Indeed tend to range all over the spectrum, so it's a situation of working with them with your eyes and ears open. They would do well to focus on the consistency of their customers' experience with them as they have a great product and catalog of services.

Overall: Powerful, easy to use tool for recruiting with great service staff to support it.

Pros: Unlike other sites, Indeed is clutter free. They index jobs from all across the internet and never flood their user's accounts with email notifications. The clean interface and the essential features such as search, job application, and job alerts are really well done.

Cons: Companies tend to have a brand presence on sites such as LinkedIn and Monster Jobs, whereas Indeed just appears as a distribution channel. It's a great discovery tool but not the best for connecting with recruiters.

Overall: Helped me find relevant jobs and companies.

Pros: 1. First thing first job searching- It helped a lot to provide employment to the needy.
2. suppose you want to get notification for the job from a specific comapny then you just have to create a job alert her.
3. See the review of different company and accordingly apply for them and ultimately get hired.
4. Find salaries of different profile and different company with indeed.
5. I can View sample resume.
6. Finally if i need candidate to work for me I can post the job too.
7. All these above said thing is just with mouse clicks.
8 Apply to different category of jobs like government or private sector.

Cons: Sometimes you get tired with these and want to delete your account to stop all unnecessary mails that you get.
Sometimes it takes lot of steps just to apply the job.
Search box can become more effective then what it now is.

Pros: What we like most about Indeed is that it is easy to post for a quick job or job fair we are promoting as well as a easy to source for candidates.

Cons: What we like least is the new subscription-based platform model that Indeed is moving towards. The subscriptions to contact candidates are a separate fee up on top of any company package you purchase.

Overall: Benefits to using Indeed is that it is a very easy job board to learn how to use and navigate. New sourcing recruiters can easily learn how to post a position and source for candidates in 30 minutes or less.

Pros: It allows you look at jobs that are hiring from literally any location and you can do it on a computer or on an app. It's great that you can choose filter jobs specifically for you are looking for either by location, salary experience, etc. The best feature is the easy apply that allows you to send off a mini-application and resume to the job of your choice without having to complete an entire application. Also, it has reviews for various jobs that allows you to evaluate the companies as well. There's another feature that allows you save jobs for later and categorize the jobs by where you are in the job process.

Cons: Both the website and the app crashes often. Also, there isn't a feature to contact the jobs directly through indeed unless they message you first so you can't ask questions

Overall: I don't have any grievances with indeed. IT allows me to easily apply for and acquire jobs when I need them.

Overall a great experience. I have used as both a job poster and job seeker.

Pros: The best thing about Indeed, and maybe the only thing that matters, is that it gets results. Also, the basic functions are all user-friendly. Also, they seem to be very generous in offering free services to help drive traffic to your postings.

Cons: They don't want you reposting a job within 3 months of posting. This is extremely unfortunate because most of your traffic will hit in the first 2 weeks. Also, when it is time to repost, it is not convenient.

Overall: As I mentioned earlier, it gets results.

Pros: I like Indeed because it keeps me up to date on new jobs that are available, and sends great notices that are relevant to me. It is easily searchable, and always has tons of listings! The format/way things are laid out is easy to use, and pretty much intuitive. I love doing job searches on Indeed and can actually get quite lost down a rabbit hole (in a good way) by searching from my own speciality to others "just in case"

Cons: The only thing I do think that could be tweaked is the frequency of emails. (this may actually already be a setting that I have missed) Daily emails is a bit much for me, but weekly ones would be great!

A masterpiece for job seekers and companies looking for applicants!

Pros: - Simple and easy to use interface.
- Ability to upload the resume and filled out the form automatically when applying to a job is one of the most useful features.
- Contains ample amount of filters which can be applied while looking for a job.
- Works flawlessly from cellphones and other range of devices.

Cons: - The job matches sent in the email frequently does not match based on one's profile/skills/qualifications. Further, many jobs are either already filled or closed.

Pros: The free tier allows you to get a reasonable number of candidates. Posts won't expire unless you set an expiration date, which allows you to create a database of potential candidates.

Cons: It can get a little bit expensive. If you don't have a lot of budget, you won't be able to get super good results with the paid features. It's better to just stick with the free ones, which would yield very similar results.

Overall: You are able to build a good list of candidates.

Pros: I have always used Indeed to find jobs. It seems to be the most populated job board for Utah. I really like all of the filter options. This makes it easy to find jobs that apply to me in the most specific ways, and saves me hours of searching or going places in person. Working in the medical field, it seems that most companies use Indeed and similar software's to find candidates. I like the email notifications I receive about new job postings that may apply to me, my current job was discovered this way.

Cons: I would prefer that there was just one way to apply for jobs. Sometimes it appears that you can apply directly through Indeed, but then you must go to the company website. If it were more clear when selecting the 'apply' button then you could be more prepared for the time required to fill out the application.

Overall: Many, many job options at my fingertips

Pros: Indeed was a great place to find resumes for people and for use to begin our job hunt. We, as a company, much prefer to seek individuals out based on resumes versus open ourselves up and have to read 250 resumes that come in. We've found some very good potential candidates on indeed and it is a nice resource.

Cons: The payments change. One time, we searched and paid per person to gain contact information for individuals. Their payment structure changes often and is a tad annoying. We've stopped using indeed and began just accepting resumes via email. Also, paying to send a blind form letter email to someone isn't helpful to us. That email may end up in spam, etc. I want a phone number so that I can reach out and speak to someone and make a much more formal and positive first impression.

Overall: It has its plus sides and down sides, but it's become too much of a hassle at this point.

Really the best option available, would definitely recommend.

Pros: By far the best feature is the integration with WordPress; preparing and posting jobs through Indeed with the WP integration means they automatically generate on my website. This is such a huge improvement. Very easy to use, very quick posting; the interface to manage applicants and keep track of postings is outstanding.

Cons: Would like to have more options/customize options for pre-screenings; it's still pretty good, but needs just a few changes to make it perfect.
Not really related to software, out only issue has been the follow up calls from Indeed to upsell on the account. Just persistent enough to be frustrating.

Pros: Indeed is well known by candidates, easy to use for employers, and is cost-effective. I utilize the resume search and candidate messaging frequently with good response rates.

Cons: While it is easy to use stand-alone it is a little clunky when integrated with an ATS. Currently, I have to email my Rep @ Indeed to add, update or stop funding on a role. It is laborsome and not timely. I miss being able to adjust funding at any point on the site. Not the case when integrated.

Pros: I like that if you post a job for indeed you definitely receive an abundance of resumes. The resumes are not necessarily fit for the job description that you have posted.

Pros: We post all our company jobs on Indeed. The price to promote your post is very affordable, and we get a lot of resumes.
Benefits of the platform
- Simple clean interface
- Easy way to flag users that you like
- Easy organization for making notes

Cons: Sometimes we get an overload of resumes from people that are not qualified. Wish there was a pre-qualification filter.

In terms of the platform, when someone uploads a resume that has been styled (formatted with certain fonts etc) into the Indeed Platform, the styling doesn't get pushed through so the resume looks incredibly awkward with bad spacing etc on the platform. This makes it very difficult to read some resumes. Indeed should put an option to have an document online viewer that can read these various styles and formats.

Pros: Indeed is my go to app for browsing job openings. Its easy to target industries that you want to work in for your specific talents and experience and I like that you can set up alerts to match your skills.

Pros: The ability to reach such a broad audience for free is amazing. There are functions for setting up interviews and taking notes.

Cons: My biggest complaint about Indeed is the way candidates are tracked. There needs to be a better way of seeing what all a candidate has applied for and what correspondence was sent previously on different applications.

Pros: This software is very easy to post jobs and begin generating resumes to use. You can filter with required questions, and sort your interest in potential candidates. It's all very easy to understand. You can even create easy and form rejection and next step letters.

Cons: It's hard to filter from ALL applicants, especially in regards to location. I often get candidates located nowhere near me applying for jobs that I make it required for them to be in the area. It may be even more of an applicant issue for not reading the description that says must be able to commute to site.

Pros: I love using this software applying for jobs because there is the ability to have recommendations, search locations, or choose a certain type of career. I think this is the easiest way to apply for jobs as I download my resume and am able to apply for as many or as few as I like.

Cons: I do not like the way my resume looks on indeeds software. I think there should be a way to obtain it to look like the pdf.

I have been sourcing candidates form this website for recruiting. I can just hover my mouse.

Pros: Easiest of all the recruiting websites. you just easily get a glimpse of any particular profile with just your mouse over it.

Cons: Well! it is not a paid website that is Ok. we can adjust to such a website. people can apply for any position with just a click even if it is for a hydraulic engineering and the candidate could be a painter in a real profession.

Overall: I have successfully recruted an amout of people form this website.

Pros: The indeed employer platform is so easy to use. The candidates organized per job opening and I can access all the information I need about every candidate with Indeed.

Cons: You can not add an outside link to your job post without having to pay for the ad. I prefer to use cognitive assessments on all of the candidates that apply.

Overall: Easy access, I love the Indeed app. There are thousands of users so my jobs get seen by thousands of potential applicants. Indeed organizes every applicant with their resumes and cover letters. I also love that you can make the candidates answer specific questions about job requirements.

Pros: It was very easy to use, and I found my interns fairly quickly. I also like that it has a built-in emailer, which you can use to send broadcast messages out to people who have applied for a particular position. I've found some amazingly talented individuals here as well.

Cons: Two things:

1. Technical glitch made my "FREE Internship" post automatically show that it was PAID internship position (no idea why or how that number even came up)... Of course, this caused a lot of confusion and people feeling mislead, even though the whole entire copy said multiple times that it was not a paid internship - was only for work experience and education.

2. For no known reason, my account was suspended and whenever I would ask their support for some clarity on why they suspended my account, they gave me no answers. And I asked at least 10 times.

I still to this day can not access my account anymore.

Overall: Found great people, but the support is VERY POOR.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us, Omar. We'd love to provide some clarification on this matter. Unpaid internships are not allowed on our site. Pros: The one-stop shop for job ads and postings. It has just about every company and posting that is on the market. It is also easy to get them to pick up your company web page so your ads get posted.

Cons: There is a sense that they can play with how visible your job ad is on the back-end. I have sponsored jobs ads before and gotten less candidate flow than when I just posted it normally.

Hi Jonathan, we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us. The more that is put into the budget, the more visibility the ad will receive. Pros: It is very easy to find many jobs on this site because it is very widely used. It is one of my go-to sites for job hunting, and I know many others that use it as well. It can be a pain to search for different positions with different job titles, but there are plenty of results so it ends up working well when looking for many jobs. It would be helpful to document certain searches and save them easier, but I just bookmark the different searches, which works just as well.

Cons: Many searches become cluttered with irrelevant jobs, and this can only be cleared with extensive use of the advanced search. They also make their money on promoted jobs, so there are those at the top of each search which often are unrelated to the actual search you are making. There are certainly many interface and functionality fixes that can be made to make the website more user-friendly and guide users toward the exact jobs they are looking for.

Overall: I have applied to hundreds of jobs posted on Indeed and gotten a few interviews and even a job. It is truly a numbers game, however, as many people apply to positions since Indeed is used so often.

Pros: It allows you to specify what type of job you are looking for, within what field, and what level of education is needed to qualify. Additionally it notifies you when similar jobs pop up which is great during a hectic job search.

Cons: The resume formatting software always messes up the resume a bit, which is worrisome if that resume is the one recruiters focus on. Additionally filling out a cover letter in the provided word box feels impersonal and unprofessional as opposed to a cover letter in pdf format.

Overall: It helped me find a job right out of college.

Cons: Can be costly depending on your usage. Also, would like to see more filters under the advanced search section when sourcing resumes.

Overall: Recruiting lifecycle has been dramatically reduced. Overall candidate sourcing time and traffic from job postings have been impressive. Definitely a high return on investment.

Pros: I like the enormous database of quality resumes. I also like the fact that all the search options are easy to utilize.

Cons: I think it's too expensive and I don't like the fact that they charge you to view the resumes with contact information that they provided already on the resume.

Pros: A simple and intuitive interface to post paid job listings, screen and manage candidates, and go through the initial stages to set up an interview.

Cons: The quality of applicants that we experienced was often disappointing. The cost per view and cost per application and generally the ROI for publishing a job listing on indeed.com was extremely expensive for our small business, however there aren't too many alternatives out there.

Overall: Indeed started out as an aggregator of job listing from Monster, Careerbuilder, and many others, so it was a good one-stop job search board for people looking for new opportunities. It also developed its business as a direct listings job board. As an employer we have had mixed luck with this platform but if you are looking for new candidates there usually aren't better alternatives for internet based hiring.

Pros: If someone is looking for a job, they are going to be on Indeed and probably several other job hunting applications. As an employer why should I pay more for the same applicants? Indeed to not the most robust recruiting application, but it does provide the most value for an employer. The response to our ads have been great and the candidates have been high quality. I can easily filter out those I am most interested in. I really like no "cost per click" on the billing because a good ad gets a lot of curious, but not serious responses.

Cons: Everything in Indeed is limited to some degree including: ad formatting including pictures and graphics, sorting and status categories for candidates, types and variety of responses available. I often find myself wanting more options, but am able to work with what is offered. Fewer choices also means easier to use. There is a trade off.

Overall: Most important of all - job seekers love Indeed, so as an employer I get a better response from a larger pool of applicants than with other options. The cost of very affordable and predictable.

Pros: As a small firm, we tend to post jobs on local networks, but Indeed is one of the general boards we will actually use, because they do well at attracting serious, qualified candidates, when other boards are lower quality. We have also used the resume function to identify possible candidates in advance, which was likewise easy to do and with good results.

Cons: Pretty happy with it on the whole; I'm sure there are additional features that could be added given the minimalism of the UI, but it has been great for our purposes.

Pros: The search feature is very easy to use and allows me to look through hundreds of jobs and resumes at once. I also like the filter feature, where you can narrow down your searches to exactly what you are looking for. This helps save me time by only going through the most relevant job or resumes. The pay per click feature can be very effective as well and typically increases the visibility of your job posts.

Cons: The pay per click feature does attract a lot of candidates to click on your job postings, but this does not always translate to them wanting to fill out an application. This can give you false hope, as you see a lot clicks, but not a lot of candidates actually applying for the job.

Pros: Indeed is the no-fuss job posting site. No membership requirements, no pay for play, no cutesy marketing mascot, just straightforward job posting and candidate requirement. I've used indeed as both a candidate and a recruiter, and the experience on both ends is superb. It has the most jobs if you're searching, and the most candidates if you're hiring. And did I mention it's free?! We've advertised jobs with other job sites and we always get the most (and usually the best) candidates using indeed. There's rarely a shortage of candidates for even the most obscure roles.

Cons: The only negative I have to say about indeed is that their advertising product for recruiters is absurdly broken. I handle the digital marketing for our brand and I found the advertising on indeed to be a total joke; way overpriced and didn't produce any results. At least I know how to answer my boss when he asks me the fastest way to waste money. Hopefully they will improve this in the future as the site gets more crowded.

Pros: The software is easy to use as both a recruiter and a job seeker. As a recruiter it allows for your job to be seen in more places, while allowing a good amount of applicants to apply. As a Job seeker, it takes postings that may not have been seen, and brings them to the fore front to be seen. This is a great program that allows both employers and employees to be seen.

Cons: I am going to be hones, I really have never seen a downside of the software itself. The downfall is usually the poster.

Pros: Indeed is a wonderful place to look for a job. I love the fact that all I have to do is upload my resume and click apply on some of the applications.
PROS:
The fact you have updates to come to your email
Having the ability to put your preference in the search box
You can see what job you've already applied for

Cons: Although I love indeed, I wish that after uploading your resume, you could just click apply for every job instead of sometimes still having to fill out information or being directed to the actual site to apply.
CONS:

Pros: Indeed helps a lot of people locate jobs and available positions for all sorts of companies. There are a vast amount of companies that list on Indeed. I have seen many people locate employment from this site and shows a large amount of success. You can post a position with the requirements needed and receive in a large amount of applicants. The ability to view information on potential employees makes all the difference.

Cons: With the option for anyone to apply, there is a lot of sorting that needs to be done. A large number of applicants are not actually qualified for the position posted, almost like people blast out their resume information.

Pros: I have used indeed for both job seeking and for posting job openings. As far as seeking it is very versatile and easy to find exactly what your looking for, the filter options are great and response time from companies is quick. As far as posting they allow you to define needs easily and post frequently to get you in front of the right job seekers.

Cons: Posting Cons: The pricing is a little more than expected as you really need to filter thru applicants to make sure they actually meet your requirements. Also we have made posts in the past that did not actually cycle till days after it was supposed to be live on the site yet were charged regardless.
Seeking Cons: the mobile app needs work, you will not always receive messages until days after a response from an interested company in the app ( you will however see it via email as a failsafe)

Hi Brittany, thank you for taking the time to share this feedback with us. We're happy to hear you've had success while using Indeed as both an employer and a job seeker! Pros: Very easy to use and its very easy to locate local candidates. Candidates organised as per the job opening and you can easily shortlist them.

Cons: I don't find the design of website attractive. It is very simple. sometimes if you are not specific with keywords, you get a so many candidates inappropriate.

Pros: I have used Indeed for a while. We always get more than enough candidates for any level of job we post. From Janitor to IT Manager, we have hired great employees. We usually sponsor our jobs.

Cons: The design tools are difficult to make sure your job posting looks appropriate. Every time that i copy and paste a job description from a word document, the spacing, bullet points and paragraphs are all out of whack.

Pros: I will say we have hired quality people through Indeed, it is my go to for a hiring website right now.
It does bring in a lot of potential employees for us, which is great. Lots of resumes/options to go through.
Indeed does exactly what we need it to do. Very user-friendly.
I like the fact that you have an option whether to use sponsoring on a job listing or not, and either way you're still going to get quite a few applicants.

Cons: You did get a lot of applications for your job listing, but sometimes the quality of people are not the best. I think indeed also makes it a little too easy for applicants to submit their resume to every single job listing.. which can be frustrating when I have 200 applications to go through and 4/5 of them are not qualified or have no related work experience. You can dial down the requirements for your job listing but I think indeed still makes it very easy for applicants to submit their resume to every employer.

Overall: Overall I would recommend indeed to any employers looking to hire new employees. You get fast results and somewhat quality people. You definitely have to dig through resumes, but you will find some pretty great ones. We have hired people from indeed.

Pros: This software is easy to use and allows you to search candidates by date. You can review a large selection of candidates at one time.

Pros: I liked that this is a really popular job search portal. They also have incentives that help you get your name out there and get your job posting out there. I really enjoyed having those to offset the cost of the job post.

Cons: We did get plenty of exposure, but we didn't receive quality candidates. Most of them did not meet our qualifications, but we were "charged" for the clicks anyway. (it was counted against our credit). So I knew that if we actually dumped a lot of money into this job post, that most of it would be wasted because candidates don't really read the job requirements. It would be nice to restrict the applications to people who are actually qualified for the position.

Overall: I got my job posting out there, but did not receive quality candidates. If you could restrict candidates from applying if they don't meet your qualifications that would make this software really great.

Pros: The most important feature of this website is the quick notification which makes you aware of the latest jobs and for the employers they give all the resumes in the decent matter with the cover letter. hence no need to go in person every time for a job and recruiter can easily contact the successful candidates.

Cons: Sometimes due to so many resumes we might not get the call or might have a bug and sometimes the application submits button does not work good which can be made better.

Overall: I remember after waiting for 3 months I got my first job call from indeed and I got hired. so I was very happy as this website

Pros: The best thing about Indeed is that it provide the active candidates in bulk and even for the unpaid version you can have access to those resumes.

It provides those best resumes even the paid platform like Monster, Dice are not able to provide.

Job positing in Indeed is very easy

Cons: The search criteria in Indeed is not effective as compared to Monster, Career Builder etc. This thing can be improved in Indeed.

Cons: The ads for certain jobs can be annoying. They never relate to what job i was seeking. Certain jobs may not be ideal or sounds too good to be true.

Pros: Indeed is probably the best job search website out there. Instead of being limited to the jobs employers post directly to their site, it finds and indexes jobs that are posted on employers own websites, so you effectively see all open positions for every company that posts jobs. Another great feature is that indeed estimates salaries based on job title and experience required, so you can filter on jobs that will pay an amount you are interested in. You can filter to specific companies too which is a great feature if you know where you want to work. Maybe the best feature of all is that you can see how many other people have applied to a specific job through indeed, so you know what you are up against!

Cons: Sometimes the salary ranges that it will estimate are way off. Indeed does not show jobs that are not publicly advertised, for instance if an employer only posts a job to monster.com, then indeed will not report in this job

Pros: Indeed caters to people who LOVE specific, instant information. I want to know which companies are hiring in a specific area. The toggles are convenient.

Cons: Well, the links always go to the an external site (not necessarily Indeed's fault), but it would be nice if the information integrity with indeed was certified and trusted by the corporations who utilize the service for staffing.

Hi Jennifer, thank you for reaching out and leaving this feedback! We are glad to hear that you have had a great experience with Indeed. When a link takes you to a different site during a job search, this means that the job is originally from that external site and that Indeed is pulling it. To explain, Indeed is a search engine for jobs and as such we bring together jobs that are advertised on Job Boards, Staffing Firm's sites and Direct Employer's career pages to give candidates the ability to do their job search in one location. We also have thousands of recruiters post their roles directly to Indeed. Pros: We used to use Craigslist to find candidates. I decided to give Indeed a try since they are located here in Austin TX. Indeed was the solution that we were looking for. We are able to type up a job description and add qualifications that Indeed's software will automatically sort for us. We can post a job posting that requires a specific license and we can choose that Indeed only show us applicants that meet that qualification. Craigslist has no filtering process. This allows us to spend more time reviewing candidates that we know meet our qualifications. We have hired 5 solid employees and will continue to use Indeed for hiring.

Cons: Indeed's software far exceeds our expectations. Their algorithm is smart and we get the applicants that we need.

Overall: We found amazing candidates with ease!

Pros: I love that Indeed allows you to post jobs for free or choose how much you would like to spend on your search for candidates. It is also nice that you can complete all of the communication, takes notes and keep track inside of the program. I also appreciate that you can give feedback on candidates.

Cons: It is difficult for us to find quality candidates since we are looking for somewhat unique and specialized skills. I have also found that a lot of applicants submit a resume and express interest in a position and then either never respond to any communication or interview requests. OR, they agree to an interview and then do not show up. I wish there was a way that indeed could start weeding these people out of their service if they do it multiple times.

Overall: It is great that it is affordable to anyone. It is important to us, especially when we have positions we are constantly hiring for (subcontractors) to not have to constantly pay for a job posting service.

Pros: The site is really easy to use, post a job, and sponsor the ad. Ease of use is probably it's best quality.

Cons: The quality of candidates is terrible. I don't know if that's because of the city I'm in or just the job market in general. But, it's very time-consuming trying to sift through people who are actually qualified or even remotely qualified for a position.

Overall: I use indeed because it's cheaper than LinkedIn and I get more results from it than Glassdoor. But... I don't get great results and it's very very time consuming sifting through candidates. It would be great if it had a way to search through keywords on someone's resume and automatically archive them if they don't at least have the keywords relating to a position.
