Overall, my experience with Indeed for Employers has been positive. The platform is easy to use, efficient for recruitment, and provides strong exposure for job postings. The recruitment process becomes more streamlined through centralized applicant management and communication tools. The employee management and user access portal are straightforward and accessible, making collaboration easier for hiring teams. While there are some limitations regarding pricing and application quality control, the overall value for money is good considering the reach and convenience the platform provides.

Pros

What I liked most about Indeed for Employers was the ease of posting jobs and reaching a large pool of candidates quickly. The platform is user-friendly, making it simple to manage applications, communicate with candidates, and track recruitment progress in one place. The visibility of job postings helped attract diverse applicants, and the filtering tools made shortlisting more efficient. I also found the integration and accessibility features convenient for both recruiters and applicants.

Cons

One downside was that the cost of sponsored postings can become expensive, especially when hiring for multiple positions. At times, there were also a high number of unqualified applications, which increased screening time. Some advanced recruitment and analytics features felt limited unless additional paid options were used. Customer support responses could occasionally take longer than expected depending on the issue.

### "Indeed - Nothing else like it! But a slight learning curve"

April 25, 2026

4.0

We have been posting to Indeed for 18 months consecutively for one of my companies. We repost sometimes, but for the most part we create new postings for maximizing views. We have paid for postings, and posted for free. Our experience with using Indeed itself has been good. Once we get the hang of using the Employer Portal it's definitely the best place to post for jobs.

Pros

Value for money. This is also where most people look for jobs, so posting to Indeed will get us the most possible views, vs posting on Craigslist or Facebook for example.

Cons

Quality of candidates can be quite hit or miss. Lots of people applying for jobs who aren't based in the country even though we specifically mention only those within Canada. I find that the Indeed portal isn't very intuitive and just takes a minute to find my way around. This wouldn't stop me using Indeed at all as it's still the best for job postings.

Craigslist did not return anywhere near the number of applicants and cost far more.

### "Efficient Hiring Platform with Strong Candidate Reach"

May 4, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Indeed for Employers has been positive. The platform is easy to use, helps generate a strong number of applicants, and simplifies the hiring process. It’s been effective for reaching candidates quickly, though managing unqualified applicants and sponsored posting costs can sometimes be challenging.

Pros

What I liked most about Indeed for Employers was how easy it made the hiring process from start to finish. The platform gives access to a large pool of qualified candidates, and the job posting process is simple and quick. I also liked the applicant management tools, which made it easy to review resumes, communicate with candidates, and keep everything organized in one place. The visibility and reach of the platform helped generate applications faster than many other hiring platforms I’ve used.

Cons

One downside of Indeed for Employers is that costs can add up quickly when sponsoring jobs, especially in competitive markets. I also noticed that some applications were not well qualified, which meant spending extra time filtering candidates. The messaging and filtering tools could also be more advanced for managing large applicant pools efficiently.

Reason for choosing Indeed for Employers

Indeed was chosen over alternatives because it offers a larger candidate pool, faster applicant flow, and simpler hiring tools. Compared to LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, and Glassdoor, it felt more straightforward for posting jobs, managing applicants, and filling roles quickly.

### "Indeed for Employer average at best, not a fan"

January 15, 2026

3.0

I don't use it often because I find the site to be a bit clunky- have to go in multiple tabs/links to find what I'm looking for. It is pricey. The emails you receive from billing are not accurate requiring contacting customer service and monitoring your credit card. Also, a lot of passive job seekers do not respond when you reach out to them. It has been more work than it has been valuable in my opinion.

Pros

In addition to posting jobs, it provides access to resumes of individuals that are employed or passively searching for work. It integrates/connects with our applicant tracking system.

Cons

"Automated" emails regarding billing are not accurate. I received an email on 1/14/26 stating that both of my subscriptions were renewing on January 17, 2026 for a total of $551.20. I only have 1 subscription, and it has been in paused mode since 12/17/25 at $0. Even if I was being billed for this subscription, it would only have been $127.20. After calling, I was told that the emails are automated which made 0 sense. I was assured that I would not be charged. Now I need to watch my credit card account to ensure I am not erroneously charged. Also, if you are logged into your account and your subscription is paused, it should ask you if you want to reactivate it, not automatically open a brand new subscription when you want to view a resume. This was another call to customer service and having to watch my credit card account. It's apparent that the automated emails do not directly tie into what is actually going on in your account- even when logged in!

### "Totally customizable to fit your needs"

April 16, 2026

4.0

Indeed for Employers is a really helpful tool for recruiting. It can sync to your onboarding/payroll platform so that you can manage your candidates straight from your system. Or you can use it manually where you create the job posting in Indeed and manage candidates straight from the Indeed platform. It is user friendly and totally customizable. You can customize if you want an assessment test sent to the candidate after they submit their resume. You can customize knock out questions so that no one's time gets wasted. You can send out messages in bulk. That was nice. Any time we had a question, our customer service rep responded quickly. You can pause a job posting when necessary and you can adjust how long you want your job posting to be up. This way you are not overpaying and gives the best value for your money.

### "Streamlining Our Hiring Process"

December 24, 2025

5.0

With Indeed, we can reach a large talent pool with a user-friendly dashboard for posting jobs. This streamlines our hiring process and allows us to focus our time on screening high-quality candidates.

Pros

The best function about Indeed for Employers is being able to post free basic job postings! This is enough to reach a wide, diverse talent pool of candidates.

Cons

Although we are able to reach a high number of candidates, it can be difficult to get in touch with these candidates due to the ease of applying on Indeed.

Indeed for Employers is extremely helpful if looking for or posting a new job. There are very few steps and Indeed customer support is available to help 24/7.

Pros

The ease of use, customer support and user access portal make this software value for money! The recruitment process and connections are made to be so simple and employee management is self explanatory!

Cons

### "Indeed for Employers in Practice"

March 27, 2026

4.0

Overall, Indeed for Employers is a great platform to post roles and then organize the applicants. The massive reach can be beneficial as well as the flexible pricing. Using in conjunction with other advertising methods is the best way to begin the hiring process.

Pros

While our office is not often hiring, when we are Indeed for Employers is paramount to our process. Posting jobs is overall very quick and easy. The many prompts ensure that we are able to capture not only the role, but our atmosphere correctly. The massive reach helps to ensure that our ad is viewed by many people which is helpful for both entry level and very specific roles. Having applicants ordered by job posting and be able to filter results to ensure only the applicants who would be a good fit are available to view. The flexible pricing is also much appreciated.

Cons

Unfortunately the pricing is both a pro and a con. The flexibility in the pricing is appreciated however those costs do add up quickly. The same can be said for the massive reach; high number of applications generally do not equal suitable candidates.

### "Indeed- best tool to have in your HR Hero utility belt!"

September 25, 2025

5.0

Indeed is my go to recruitment tool. I stopped using ZipRecruiter because it doesn't screen candidates as well as Indeed does. Super easy to use and I love how it has everything in one, you can even interview candidates via video without leaving the website or using a 3rd party video app.

Pros

Indeed has so many great features. I like SmartSourcing the best, where I can enter a keyword or past job title and geographic area and find people that I think would be great for the role then invite them to apply to my open job post. I also like that it suggests jobs or tells people they may not have the qualifications needed before applying to save them time and the Recruiter such as myself time. It is 10x better candidate wise than ZipRecruiter. The user portal is so easy to use for employers, definitely the best employer dashboard. I like the way I can manage reviewed vs. contacted vs. interviewed

Cons

It has tiers of sponsorship for your job listings and so it doesn't have as good exposure or automated connections as ZipRecruiter. You are getting your moneys worth if you just use the smart sourcing tool, I have hired only off of that for the past year! Indeed glitches all the time, I think so many more people use the server than they expected. Customer support is ok, could be better.

Reason for choosing Indeed for Employers

Indeed is fine tuned to what type of candidates I am looking for. Zip was only sending me retail, food service, office workers with no hands on experience that could translate to the plumbing field.

### "Indeed Job Board"

February 1, 2026

4.0

I have obtained several jobs from Indeed. I would recommend Indeed to all my friends and family. I don't use any other job board platform.

Pros

Indeed offers a wide range of job types that I am searching for. Their filters allow me to narrow down job descriptions that match my skills. I love the easy apply feature, which saves me so much time. The platform is very user-friendly and a great way to get my resume in front of potential employers.

Cons

On the downside, the sheer volume of emails from Indeed can be overwhelming and tends to clutter my inbox. Reducing the frequency of these communications would greatly enhance my experience on the platform.

### " A great place to post and manage job openings"

December 16, 2025

5.0

Indeed has been a useful go-to for posting jobs. We get many resumes that are easy to sort, view, print, etc.

Pros

There's a free version. When I've interacted with their support team, they were extremely helpful and pleasant. Indeed is clean to look at. It's surprisingly easy to use, even when it doesn't feel like it would be. It's nice that the users can direct assess you through the portal. We've found some great hires and connections on Indeed. It's easy to manage potential future employees.

Cons

It feels a bit expensive to run actual ads on there. We use the free version sitll with great success

### "Good for the novice recruiter, frustrating for a pro"

January 24, 2026

4.0

Overall I find that listing open positions is useless I fk t get the candidates I need. I have to pay a lot to be able to search the resume database which is frustrating.

Pros

I like the resume database. It’s really the only thing I find useful. I have to do deep recruiting and reach out to fill my open positions. The resume database lets my search for people anywhere with the experience I am looking for.

Cons

The price keeps going up! And it keeps getting more and more difficult to access what I want. And the resume search doesn’t offer the parameters I need. I’ve been using Indeed for recruiting for 10+ years and the improvements are not improving my experience. I’d prefer the old basic version.

### "Good, but could be Great!"

April 21, 2026

3.0

Overall experience, it is the most reliable job recruiting portal, it helps connect us with a large group of people we are able to interview and meet, which hightens the success. I would suggest that they monitor it closely as you may be overpaying for less than impressive resumes. I have hire many employees with Indeed, and would not easily consider using an alternative site.

Pros

I like that is streamlines the application process, and gives us access to many different applicants. It is helpful at matching the role with certain candidates. The portal is very easy to use, and once you know how to juggle all the application than you will have an easier time using it. It will allow you to save notes and manage the potential employees without having to keep notes elsewhere.

Cons

I don't like that it allows rejected candidates to continue to reply even after more than 2 rejections. I feel that it just ambushes you with applicants and you can't really keep up with them, so you are paying for all of the unqualified applicants as well. It is great when you have a designated 'rep' that is able to filter them to your needs. They also do not always have the updated resume, so we will get many applicants with nothing but no employment history.

My overall experience is good. I get the most candidates from Indeed and it's an easy platform to use and navigate.

Pros

Cons

### "Our Go To Hiring Platform"

February 23, 2026

5.0

Overall, I have had a good experience with Indeed and we use it often. It is easy, convenient, and brings in a steady flow of applicants. The main downside is the cost and having to sort through unqualified applicants, but it is still one of our main tools for hiring.

Pros

I like that Indeed gives us a wide range of applicants and it is our go to source for hiring. It is easy to use and makes it simple to post jobs and get candidates in front of us quickly. When we need to fill roles fast, Indeed usually comes through.

Cons

The pay per click model gets expensive. A lot of unqualified applicants are able to apply, which ends up being wasted money since we are paying for clicks that do not turn into real candidates.

Satisfied with ease of use. Love the multiple options for contacting prospective interviews and keeping them organized. Indeed makes the resume collection, review, and interview scheduling and follow up process streamlined and easy to manage.

Pros

Tools that make it easy for me to post job details, automate responses and set up interview schedules. I find the program to be reasonably priced, and transparent with fees up front. The customer service team has always responded to any questions promptly.

### "The go to site for employment as a big or small company "

October 15, 2025

5.0

Great and a tool I have used in multiple workplaces to get a good amount of applicants for each role.

Pros

I’ve been using Indeed to recruit for my business, and it’s been a fantastic experience. The platform is easy to use, intuitive, and makes posting jobs incredibly straightforward. Within a short time of posting, I usually receive a strong pool of applicants, and the built-in tools make it simple to filter, communicate, and track progress. I really appreciate how Indeed gives me access to a wide range of candidates — from entry-level to highly skilled professionals — and the ability to adjust my job postings as needed. The dashboard and messaging features save me a lot of time, and the customer support team has always been responsive and helpful whenever I’ve had a question. Overall, Indeed has become my go-to platform for hiring. It’s reliable, efficient, and has made the recruitment process much smoother for my business. Highly recommended for any employer looking for quality hires without the hassle.

Cons

The only minor downside is that I sometimes receive a large number of applications, and not all are a perfect fit for the role. However, I’d much rather have too many candidates than too few, and Indeed’s filtering tools make it easy to manage.

### "Solid Hiring Tool"

April 24, 2026

4.0

Overall, my experience with Indeed has been good. It’s easy to use, and I like that I can give team members access to help manage resumes and scheduling. We get a strong flow of candidates and have made some solid hires. Customer support is there when needed, but the platform is simple enough to manage on our own. The cost is a bit high and candidate quality can vary, but it still gets the job done.

Pros

Indeed does what it says it will. I’ve had a lot of success getting resumes, and we’ve made some great connections with hires—some of which have stayed with us for over a year and counting. The platform is very user-friendly, making it easy to navigate, manage candidates, and handle scheduling. It’s also simple to add team members so they can assist with reviewing resumes and coordinating interviews.

Cons

It’s pretty expensive. We do get a lot of resumes, but many aren’t great fits. I know that’s not fully on Indeed, but for the price, it can feel a bit high.
