Digiexam Reviews
Pros
DigitExam is a great solution if you are looking for something that can provide a secure testing environment being device agnostic, simple to use and great customer support.
Overall this has been a very good solution that provides everything that we needed. A secure testing environment with the flexibility to allow specific websites is a plus while having a BYOD devices.
The overall experience is great from the support to the usage of the product we are very happy with DigiExam.
The support ist next level and the best I can think of. We feel important for the company, our wishes are heard and developed, they care about us.
Cons
This is critical when moving questions up or down and when importing questions from other tests.
Lockdown function stops the OneDrive Sync. Users must reboot after taking an exam.
The DigiExam team really identifies themselves with their product. If there's a problem, they find a solution.
I found the Mac client to be somewhat unstable. Also, the equation editor only allowed for one line per text entry box.

"Digiexam, an extraordinary option for online supervision of remote exams."
Overall: It is excellent for assessments that require multiple-choice options and even for exams that require developing a text description for each question, considering that answer automation facilitates the assessment process, generating results that can be communicated to students via email.
Pros: Digiexam is an excellent option to take an exam since it is multiplatform, we can use it both in Mac OS and in a Windows environment, after installing it locally and putting it into operation, it takes control of the computer's resources, which allows the participants to dedicate themselves to validate the knowledge gained without deviating or using any other installed software. In addition, Digiexam monitors the entire process and generates important information for the credibility of the evaluation.
Cons: Digiexam can take control of the time that is dedicated to the evaluation process and the participant must be attentive to be able to finish the set of proposed questions. It is important that there is good connectivity or stable Wi-Fi so that there are no problems during the process, however, the teacher or administrator of the evaluation process can help to unlock the exam in case of any problem. It works perfectly in Windows or Mac OS, pending the option of being able to use it on a virtual machine.
"DigiExam a Solid Test Taking Solution"
Overall: Overall this has been a very good solution that provides everything that we needed. A secure testing environment with the flexibility to allow specific websites is a plus while having a BYOD devices. The ability to print out a test is great because it does provide you with a formatted exam.
Pros: DigitExam is a great solution if you are looking for something that can provide a secure testing environment being device agnostic, simple to use and great customer support. The team is great in being proactive and does listen to their customers and are actively looking to make their solution better.
Cons: This does not yet fully integrate with Blackbaud but it is on their roadmap. This is more an issue with Blackbaud not yet fully supporting LTI 1.3. Management of students accessibility resources can be a challenge as any teachers can toggle this feature on or off impacting others.
"High School review"
Overall: fairly positive experience, like any software you have to learn the ins and outs and "gottchas" The Tech support is great, you can tell the company really cares about their software and their customers.
Pros: fairly straight forward to use as both teacher and student It works as advertised We use a lot of digital ink (pen) in our courses and Digi Exam can handle that pretty well
Cons: lockdown function stops the OneDrive Sync. users must reboot after taking an exam we could not get user authentication to Azure to work Does not link up to existing test banks by textbook publishers - can't really import them In Windows student software is Profile based - not machine based - so every time a different student logs into laptop you have to download and install the software Difficult for students to "show their work" in math because you have to keep scrolling up to see the problem and then scrolling down to write in the answer box when you have to write out multiple steps in the answer
"Swedish product customised for German online-testing needs"
Overall: The DigiExam team really identifies themselves with their product. If there's a problem, they find a solution.
Pros: DigiExam has more than 10 years of experience in online-testing. It is easy to use, great for online-testing, also for high stake exams. And after some customisation now compliant with our German education laws. It's constantly updated so that it keeps up with our en vogue learning environment: Currently Aalen is in the top 10 for digital readiness among German universities.
Cons: The overall design could need a slight polishing but it's in making as we have been told.
"DigiExam the company that cares"
Overall: The overall experience is great from the support to the usage of the product we are very happy with DigiExam.
Pros: The live proctoring is the best feature and allows teachers to proctor on their own. The support ist next level and the best I can think of. We feel important for the company, our wishes are heard and developed, they care about us.
Cons: The quiz enginge could have more functions. We can create all of our exams but with more questions types we would expand to other topics of our institution.
"From a teacher of Learning Different students"
Overall: Writing, administering, and grading tests is faster and more secure than ever with Digiexam.
Pros: Digiexam is intuitive and very easy to use. "Lock Down" is one of the best features! I appreciate the wealth of options for creating exams and the wealth of information I receive about my students, post-test. Digiexam makes it so easy to modify assessments to fit our students' needs. The Immersive Reader feature is a game-changer for our dyslexic students. Digiexam makes grading and sharing exams easy, as well.
Cons: It would be helpful for Digiexam to automatically renumber questions based on their position in the test. This is critical when moving questions up or down and when importing questions from other tests. Digiexam doesn't currently allow for "percentage correct" as a scoring option. Digiexam's printable tests aren't great. I usually have to copy/paste questions to another app to make the test usable for my students. Digiexam doesn't currently offer "matching" questions.
"DigiExam is the solution for providing lockdown examinations/environment in a 1 to 1 BYO environment"
Overall: From my initial demonstration of the product to the deployment support, everything about our DigiExam experience has been positive. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive and seem to genuinely love their product. After using it for a few months now, I know why.
Pros: First it was the ability to lockdown student all BYO devices in a 1 to 1 school environment. Then it was the ease at which accessibility tools can be deployed to students who need them. Next was the 100% success rate with initial deployment across approximately 100 students. Then it was the ease with which I could integrate DigiExam into our LMS. Now it is how quickly teachers are creating and deploying examinations. At every stage DigiExam has impressed. Digiexam is an easy to use, feature rich, lockdown examination environment, which was exactly the product we were looking for. But most importantly, DigiExam just works.
Cons: The only con I have come across at this stage is that questions cannot have Part A and Part B. Thus if a series of questions use the same prompt, they cannot all appear on the same page. There is a simple work around where the question with the prompt can be duplicated, and then the question changed. After mentioning this in an onboarding meeting, the development team added finding a solution to their roadmap, such is there commitment to creating a comprehensive product.
"DigiExam in education"
Pros: easy, user friendly, fast grading for multiple choice sections, keep track of timing, variety of question format
Cons: often students are requested to insert a USB to turn in the assessment, the impossibility to add additional time when a student is locked out (or adding extra time manually if necessary), grading the essay/ writing section is very time consuming although I have created a color code to mark mistakes, I would love to be able to rearrange questions easily (it could be time consuming).
"Digiexam @Ystad Gymnasium"
Overall: A reliable test platform that teachers and students quickly get started with.
Pros: Easy to use. Lock-down mode built-in. Integration with Skolon.
Cons: Few question types. Would have liked a national/global community for sharing and collaboration
"Liked by our students"
Pros: The flexibility we gained through online testing did not just enable us going forward during the pandemic. It helps us creating a better exam experience for our students.
Cons: We often are asked about additional question types, such as hot spot or generation of variable based questions. Yet most scenarios can be build with some effort.
"Long time use in US private school"
Overall: This is a product that does exactly what is built to do, easy to use.
Pros: We really like how easy it is to create accounts and distribute exams. Grading is simple and the passback feature is good. The ability to adjust settings for students with accommodations (extra time, spell check, etc) works great.
Cons: The commenting on essays could use some improvement, it works but can be tricky to read comments in order.
"DigiExam is an indispensable assessment tool at our school"
Pros: Ease of deployment, ease of use, and the quality and promptness of support.
Cons: I wish that it was possible to sort through exams by instructor and I also wish that it was easier to manage our student users
"Digiexam has gotten us through many years of innovation with a heart."
Overall: A tool can be brilliant, but what makes us stick to Digiexam, an already excellent solution, is the team of people who are our partners. At Digiexam, we have found responsive and responsible partners who stand by their product with unsurpassed service.
Pros: It is a sophisticated tool that responds to the needs of many teachers and styles of testing.
Cons: I wish pictures could be part of multiple choice answers.
"Digiexam"
Pros: Easy to use. Quick support. High reliability.
Cons: Nothing to complain about at all. Good functions.
"Great option for digital test taking"
Pros: The automatic accommodations (extra time, reader) make assessment accommodations much more accessible to the classroom teachers.
Cons: We need predictive text, a French spell correct and French dictionary
"First year of use."
Overall: We are able to have safe digital exams where we can offer aid for those in need of adaptations. (text to speech and spelling for example) One added bonus is that there is no longer a need for printing paper exams. We have had a very good experience.
Pros: It's easy to use. There is a total lockdown of the computer and you kan use USB backup if you experience network issues.
Cons: We had some issues with some users not being able to create their accounts. But it was mostly user related and the support was very helpful.
"Crestwood Review of Digiexam"
Pros: I liked the fact that the client experience was consistent across all platforms.
Cons: I found the Mac client to be somewhat unstable. Also, the equation editor only allowed for one line per text entry box.
"Need more math features"
Pros: The lock out feature is great.
Cons: I can't type in equations for math tests. Right now I have to screen shot my equations and paste them in, which makes editing later more work.
"Using DigiExam for multi-subject assessment"
Overall: Very positive, incredibly helpful. Has enabled us to continue assessment during the pandemic with minimal changes.
Pros: Easy to write papers, easy to allocate marking, good proctoring, responsive customer service.
Cons: Formula type exams such as Maths and Physics still present a challenge, although we are aware that DigiExam are working on potential solutions.
"Fantastic tool for schools"
Overall: Fantastic tool, great support - instant response.
Pros: Sharing exams with colleagues, lock down of the computers during tests, BUT option to allow internet use. Self correcting multiple choice questions for instat feedback for the students.
Cons: Lots and lots of handmovements when correcting large number of tests. More shortcuts to toggle between questions as you are assessing.
"A Teacher's Review"
Overall: Good.
Pros: It is good that the computer is locked for other activities while the students are in the programme. It is easy to use and understand and it was to learn.
Cons: That you cannot start to correct a test before it is completed/ended. Some of my fellow users find it a bit organized and not so easy to find where to go.
