Overall, it’s been my go-to for years because it’s just so convenient. For day-to-day work, the collaboration features are hard to beat, and it’s a very reliable ecosystem. That said, it definitely feels more cluttered than it used to, and I’m not a big fan of how the storage is now pooled across Gmail and Photos. It’s a dependable tool that I'll keep using, but it's lost a bit of that "simple" feel it had when I first started using it.

Pros

I’ve used Drive for a long time and it’s a pretty solid storage tool. The integration with Docs and Sheets is seamless, and the real-time collaboration is still its biggest strength for working with a team. Cross-device syncing is also very reliable, so I never really have to worry about versioning. It’s just a consistent, straightforward platform.

Cons

The organization can get pretty messy—the "Shared with me" section still feels like a bit of a digital junk drawer. I also find some of the newer AI-driven "Home" views and suggestions to be a bit cluttered and not really that helpful for my workflow. Plus, the offline access is still surprisingly finicky, which is a pain when you actually need it.

While at Digital Fruits, I am working with the digital team in managing client contents, campaign briefs and creative assets on various perpendicular projects simultaneously. Everything lives in Google Drive, making it easy to access, organize and share through frictionless links.

Pros

Effortless real-time collaboration with my team on campaign assets. I can share a deck, receive edits and push it live, no email attachments needed.

Cons

Storage runs out quicker than you think if you're working with loads of design files and video content every day. Hitting that ceiling in the middle of a campaign is pretty intense.

I use Google Drive to manage documents across multiple properties, including leases, maintenance records, and financial files. It simplifies file access and sharing, especially when coordinating with vendors and tenants. Overall, it’s a dependable solution for document management in property operations, though additional tools are needed for full property management.

Pros

Helps keep leases, inspection reports, invoices, and vendor documents organized in one place. Sharing files with tenants, contractors, and team members is quick and reliable. Real-time collaboration on documents is useful when managing multiple properties and ongoing tasks.

Cons

Folder structure can become disorganized without strict naming conventions. Storage can fill up quickly with photos and large files. Limited functionality for tracking property-specific workflows.

Overall I've had an excellent experience using Google Drive. It works well, it meets my needs, and I can't even think of anything I'd change to improve it.

Pros

Google Drive's HIPAA secure option provides an easy to use document management and data storage option that's excellent value for the money. As a therapist in solo private practice this allows me to securely save diagnostic templates, patient letters, my own schedule, my financial tracking, and so much more. I'm able to easily edit text and collaboration is simple if you work with others. I've never needed to contact their customer support but I'm sure it is as high quality as their product it!

Cons

I can't think of anything I dislike about Google Drive - it provides the service it says it will provide, consistently, and with quality.

Pros

I love Google Drive because it reliably saves all my documents and pictures. It is easy to label files to find them quickly, and the instant transfer feature across devices is a lifesaver.

How Capterra ensures transparency

Capterra lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. Capterra is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider's website.
