Cons They might consider changing the "remove file" to the very bottom, to prevent any mistakes in deleting files. For instance, I work on files with colleagues and sometimes when users work in the desktop app, it's very easy for me to accidentally click on "delete" instead of "download" and then it's a bit messy to try and get the deleted file back. I don't know what we would do without it. There's no reason to be on the fence about this product. Unless you need access to extremely complex formulas in a spreadsheet, this app will take care of your needs. This suite of products is a great example of exponentials at work. Highly recommended. The automatic backup feature really helpful as i don't have to manually upload all the files by my own. Cons There are some feature that are available for computer web browser version than the feature that are available in the phone version. One of it is, the shared files that i has access won't appear on the phone version, and only can be access from the computer web browser version. Pros Google Drive File Stream allows a local and synced copy of files to be available on local computers. Locally synced folders can be chosen or an entire account can be made available on a local drive. Multiple users can collaborate and share files. Files can be accesses via the smartphone app or a web browser. It's a reliable and affordable file storage solution for our small business. As a user of Google Docs, Sheets, and Photos for business, using Google Drive makes accessing, editing, and creating office docs simple. Collaborating on a project with Docs and Sheets is simple with multiple concurrent users on the same document, and notes can be added as well. We also store images and use Drive to store graphics design files that are made and edited locally. Cons File Stream is the new offline file storage and sync solution, and it can be slow if your internet connection is slow, for example to load up the preview thumbnails for a folder of high res images. From any of my devices I can access all of my files. For those reasons google drive is extremely vital to the success of business and personal goals. Pros What I like the most is that google drive integrates flawlessly with my Chromebook. I use my Chromebook for personal and professional use and I am very easily able to find certain files whenever I need them. The setup is extremely intuitive and the ease of overall use great. I feel very secure that my files will be protected and secure and ready for me to access them whenever I need. I also like that google drive connects with my phone and I can use it there too! Cons I don't like that there is a storage limit. My storage limit is pretty big since I purchase a Chromebook often, but I would prefer to save all of my files there. Since I do both audio and video work, I would quickly run out of space if i backed up all of my files onto their platform. I am using it daily and do not find any shortcomings in it. The only thing I would suggest is an Auto Sort for documents and files based on their extension or user behavior ? Pros It is very easy to use and setup. When it launched initially it didn't have many options and the interface was still finding its ground. But now the UI is amazing, Sharing options are good and easily accessible on any level of files. I have been saving my photos + documents and applications on the Google Drive. This is my small essential backup zone where if everything fails, Google drive won't fail me. Cons The initial starting space is bit low considering 90% of users are on Android. This means this space will be filled in no time if you don't manage your self. I believe that if I have bought an android phone, I am supporting Google. They should at least increase 5GB per device purchase. This will be a great selling point for them. My opinion. What I don't like is that after so many advances in ML and AI, we still can't figure out Auto Document sort in Google Drive. I still have to create folders and sub-folders... I migrated everything from dropbox to gsuite in order to have all in the same provider. However after the updates, the forced me to update macOS just for using it. It is really hard to manage it trough GSuite. I migrated to OneDrive because my computer was suffering a lot with Drive File Stream, It was completely useless most of the times. Pros I liked the ability to have files on demand. It is also very fast when moving big files within the interface. It is easy to set up and most of the time reliable. Cons The Drive File Stream software sometimes, a lot of times freeze my computer (a computer with plenty of power). Also they force me to update de macOS just because the app stopped working after an update from them. They do not have support neither software for Linux. I live in fear that Google will stop supporting it. It's so well integrated with Windows, and is free for nonprofits registered with Google. We keep ALL of our documents digitally for free through their service. It's truly amazing. Pros Filestream integrates perfectly with Windows Explorer. I LOVE that I can access files on my computer that are on the shared drive in the same way I would access a file in MyDocuments. It's 100% seamless. I have never in the 2 years that we've used this had an issue accessing anything. Cons You do need to be careful about deleting things from shared drives. It's very difficult to get back something once it has been deleted.
