### "Best cloud storage service for personal files"

November 7, 2025

5.0

Although I've been using Box and Dropbox in the past, Google Drive remains the favorite choice for all my personal files. The fact that I can access the files from any device - mobile, tablet, laptop - it's really helpful when I need to show certain files or share them with someone in real time. Also, the feature of making a file available offline is also good, as I can use that when travelling by plane for instance and I don't have internet access. Automatic saving is also a great feature that avoids loosing work.

Pros

Clean interface, instant sync between local software and cloud, easy to access from anywhere and any device. Also, the fact that I can use the native GDocs or GSheet to create files directly in GDrive, that I can use for taking notes, or using the Excel functionalities. That way I won't need a third-party tool to take notes, so that I can have all in one place.

Cons

The desktop sync application (Drive for desktop) is sometimes slow in syncing large files. Truly, it doesn't happen too often, but when you upload more than one large file at the same time, it struggles a bit - it's probably the security scanning that prevents the upload to move faster.

### "Google is the gold standard"

November 27, 2025

5.0

Used it for 15 years for 3 jobs and entrepreneurial initiatives as well, and have never been frustrated with it

Pros

It's free. Never needed support because it just works. It's intuitive and there's not bugs. It hosts documents better than outlook. Makes it easy to share files and send them with others. It's cheap for extra storage. google search on my files? yes please

Cons

I dislike that my current company uses outlook, and Maybe google can up its conversion efforts and save those of us stuck on it.

### "Malleable cloud service!"

November 14, 2025

5.0

Overall, the benefits provided by Google Drive have superseded the minor frustrations and nuisances. I have appreciated the services provided and utility of its capabilities.

Pros

Portable secure storage for documentation, video, and images that's accessible anywhere and can be shared among co-workers with ease from a trusted service.

Cons

Mobile access is in need of a new and improved UI to navigate the service better. I have had some issues over time jumping to and from different folders and documents.

### "An Irreplaceable Tool for File Organization and Sharing"

December 22, 2025

4.0

Having utilized Google Drive for a long time and experimenting with other file storage options, I find Google Drive irreplaceable. I just wish I could toggle foldering on inside of the various Apps.

Pros

I love how easy it is to manage items and implement my own nomenclature inside of Google Drive. In addition, managing sharing permissions is simple. There are also great add-ons for business utility, as well and the ability to code your own add-ons. This can be useful for things like permissions expiring for a user after a certain number of days.

Cons

Drive will hold all of your items across your workspace and have foldering and nomenclature, but if you navigate to the other apps (for example, Sheets) you lose access to the foldering that was present in drive. It means you erally have to navigate using Google Drive only - all-in-all not a huge drawback.

### "10/10 everyone should have one!"

November 13, 2025

5.0

I have had a 10 out of 10 experience and have no complaints for this product/website. I feel that everyone should have a Google drive account especially when working in a job that requires collaboration on documents.

Pros

I have used Google drive during many different seasons of life. I used Google drive when I was in high school which attests to it ease of use and now as an adult when collaborating with different practitioners within the office. Google drive has been my go to ensure that my documents are saved and stored correctly and that I will always have access and manage my projects no matter which computer I am sitting at. I have not needed to use customer support since having a Google drive account which again shows the ease of use and no need for extra assistance. Google drive is a free site to use which makes it cost efficient for anyone with internet access.

Cons

Since using google drive I have had no issues with the use of this site. I find it very user friendly and I love the ability to use it anywhere and collaborate with others without having to sit down at a group meeting.

### "A Total Game-Changer for Document Management"

November 12, 2025

5.0

It's been a gamechanger for me and is also widely used. I can link to the drive documents or download them which is wonderful. It's just a no-brainer for business professionals!

Pros

Google Drive has been a gamechanger for me these past few years. I used to have everything on my desktop computer through Microsoft applications, but it would constantly eat away at my storage space and I couldn't access it anywhere without my desktop. I love that Google Drive is so versatile, with so many applications. It has a great data storage capacity even on the free level, and I love that I can personalize my settings if I want to keep my documents private or share with someone else. The app itself is user friendly and makes it easy for me to find my documents on-the-go.

Cons

The app itself is great but you will have to download the individual applications as well to open up the documents, which eats up your storage space. But overall, it's a fantastic resource and can travel with you.

### "Affordable cloud storage for both personal and business"

October 31, 2025

5.0

Google Drive is out go-to cloud storage. It has made my remote team feel more connected and has made it easier to share important client documents. It is included in the Google Workspace subscription so the cost is based in.

Pros

Google Drive is the easiest way for me and my time to keep client and internal documents in one place. I use this software for both personal and business use.

Cons

The newest changes in the user interface have not been upgrades in my opinion. It can be hard to find shared documents now that they are in a separate location. it can also be confusing which Google Drive the email account (personal or business) is attached to

### "Easy to Use and Share"

December 4, 2025

5.0

The experience in total is very seamless and is most useful when interacting with contractors or other firms that are smaller because they can access these files easily whether or not they are in the Google environment.

Pros

Generally the ability to quickly navigate between the file directories, keep shortcuts, preview files, are all welcome. The ability to use sharing inside and outside of our organization made it a lot easier to collaborate on documents instead of sending them back and forth.

Cons

There are some times where, if loading images, it loads slowly because it's rendering the whole photo as opposed to rendering in lower definition version first.

Alternatives considered

### "Best collaboration and cloud storage tool"

December 2, 2025

Fantastic software that makes backing up important files so easy. I don't know what I would do without it!

Pros

Great value for the price. The search feature works really well. It is easy to collaborate and share documents. You are able to customize the amount of storage you need. Very easy to upload to as well.

Cons

Honestly, I have not had any issues. Sometimes it is annoying when you cannot preview certain file types, but if that is the worst thing I can think of - that's pretty great!

### "A great digital storage tool."

November 6, 2025

5.0

A great tool that brings all your personal or work digital belongings together to be accessed from anywhere by whoever you give permission to.

Pros

Google drive allows me to save and access files, images, presentations etc. from any device, whilst in the office at home or out and about. great in a professional enviroment I as I can share files with colleagues and updates can be seen in real time so you don't have to keep sending new updated files. there's plenty of storage for free and if you need more, it's very affordable.

Cons

everything we use google drive for ticks all the boxes. One feature I'd like to see is, the abillity to password protect a document or a single sheet so only those with the password can see it.

### "Free Business Solutions"

May 1, 2026

5.0

Such a wonderful tool! I use it for both personal and business use. I've helped many small businesses over the years, and always recommend the use of Google Drive over other products for file storage.

Pros

I love the ability to upload, share, and store almost any type of file regardless of its size. It's been a game-changer.

Cons

The use of Google Drive in iOS is a little bit tricky on mobile devices and can sometimes require a bit of research in order to complete a task, but it's definitely still worth it.

### "My digital filebox"

October 30, 2025

5.0

I use Google Drive to organize both my personal files and my work files (which include materials from three different jobs right now). I have it on my phone and I use it regularly there as well as from the PC. When I need to create or keep files, they're on Drive.

Pros

I like that Google Drive is free for the amount of storage I need - it's a reasonable amount and a great deal. All my important files are in one place, accessible on my computer or on the go. The phone app is just as easy to use as the PC app and the web browser. I like using the file sync for work. It's easy to find what I need using the file structure or the search. It's the best way to collaborate on files on the market.

Cons

I don't know how to contact customer support, although I've never really needed to - it always seems to work pretty seamlessly for me. I had difficulty configuring the PC hard drive sync with one specific job account.

### "File sharing and collaboration in a snap - Google Drive"

October 30, 2025

5.0

It is how our organization stores and manages all of our documents from year to year. Specific folders are designated for our teams, while others are shared with the entire organization.

Pros

I had a computer crash with and without the use of Google Drive. As you can expect, the time without Google Drive was a nightmare. Google Drive safely stores my items, and it is easy to access across multiple platforms (i.e., my phone and other computers). It also allows me to share specific folders or documents with others outside my organization, enabling us to collaborate and communicate in real-time.

Cons

My organization has had difficulties accessing our shared Drive at times, but customer support has always been helpful.

### "The Support of the Drive"

December 8, 2025

5.0

Overall my experience with Google Drive has been a good one. I am able to keep my separate documents in My Drive and all of my shared work related documents in the Shared Google drive. Helping to create a clean digital workspace.

Pros

Google drive has proven to be a reliable system to use for storage. We have been able to manage a number of legal documents as well as transition all of our paper employee files to digital files to save space and effort. We are able to share specific documents and collaborate with other teams on editing new policies and sharing information.

Cons

Initially it took time to know that we could trust Google Drive with our important HR documents. Prior to transitioning all of our employee files we were hesitant and afraid to lose employee information as many documents cannot be duplicated and need to remain in their original form.

### "Google Drive"

November 1, 2025

5.0

I really enjoyed my usage of this product. Highly recommended in sharing files and not being bothered about the quality decreasing.

Pros

For a free product, this software is actually pretty impressive. Uploading and Accessing files is very easy. I love the fact that I can upload my documents and have access to them on any device. Also I can share access with friends to upload or download files during shared work. You can sort your files on folders which makes work easier and searching for files faster. At the first usage, there are tips from the support team explaining how to use product, this is very helpful as it explains what each button does.

Cons

For access, I would like if access for editor can be in two parts - editor that can upload files but not download.

### "Reliable cloud storage and collaboration platform"

December 22, 2025

5.0

Overall, my experience with Google Drive has been excellent. It has improved team collaboration and document management in our offshore hiring environment. The platform is reliable and integrates well with the rest of Google Workspace, supporting our productivity and enabling seamless remote work.

Pros

Google Drive provides secure and scalable cloud storage with seamless collaboration features. Its integration with Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides makes it easy to create and edit documents in real-time with team members. The interface is intuitive and accessible from any device, and sharing files with colleagues or external partners is simple. The version control and offline access options are also valuable.

Cons

As the file library grows, it can become challenging to organize and find documents without a rigorous folder structure. Large file uploads may take time depending on bandwidth. Advanced admin features and increased storage require paid plans, which may be a limitation for very small teams.

### "Google Drive Review"

October 9, 2025

5.0

I love using Google Drive. It's been a staple product in my workplace. It's very simple and easy to use. Very user-friendly!

Pros

I like that I can create folders and directly share those with my team members so that we can all work from the same drive. It's very easy to use and create folders for specific things. The search functionality is very nice, as long as I know a key word of what I'm looking for it pops it up every time. The product is worth the investment since it gives you ample amount of storage for all of your data. I also enjoy the new AI generated summaries on the documents in the details section. I haven't had to use their customer support yet, which is a pro as well.

Cons

I don't have many cons for Google Drive. I love the product. It's a lot better than using computer storage for data because it stores everything in the cloud. The only thing I can think of is once a person no longer needs to have access to a certain document, it can be hard to remember to remove their access versus it just automatically taking them off.

### "Storage, collaboration, version control, easy to use"

April 29, 2026

5.0

We use Google Drive daily, making it super easy for us to collaborate and share files among the team. We work in Creative, so we upload all assets to Drive, and everyone instantly has access to work on different parts of the project. We also save everything to Drive to ensure no file goes missing in case a computer gets damaged.

Pros

Google Drive is our one source of truth for file storage and document management. What I like the most about Google Drive is how easy it is to drag and drop files into it, to organize and move folders around, and to share some files with others while making others private and safe. I also love the version control and being able to restore previous versions when needed. Lastly, the Google Drive connection to Finder on my Mac is so useful that I rarely need to go online to access files.

Cons

My Finder/desktop connection frequently disconnects, and files stop syncing, so I need to log off and log back in. It's a bit of an inconvenience, but nothing major.

Pros

I like that google drive is an affordable option to storage my files on the cloud, that it has an easy access with its mobile app and that I can upload all types of documents.

### "Efficient Cloud Storage Solution"

December 5, 2025

my experience with Google Drive has been very good. It’s easy to use, convenient, and great for storing and sharing files. The real-time collaboration features are especially helpful, and it works smoothly with other Google apps. While organization in the “Shared with me” section could be better, it’s still a reliable and efficient tool overa

Pros

What I like most about Google Drive is how easy and convenient it is to store, access, and share files from anywhere. Everything is automatically saved in the cloud, which means I don’t have to worry about losing documents or switching devices.

Cons
