It's very simple and easy to use. Very user-friendly! Pros I like that I can create folders and directly share those with my team members so that we can all work from the same drive. It's very easy to use and create folders for specific things. The search functionality is very nice, as long as I know a key word of what I'm looking for it pops it up every time. The product is worth the investment since it gives you ample amount of storage for all of your data. I also enjoy the new AI generated summaries on the documents in the details section. I haven't had to use their customer support yet, which is a pro as well. Cons I don't have many cons for Google Drive. I love the product. It's a lot better than using computer storage for data because it stores everything in the cloud. The only thing I can think of is once a person no longer needs to have access to a certain document, it can be hard to remember to remove their access versus it just automatically taking them off. The easy of access and the ability to share almost flawlessly with others is fantastic! Pros It is so easy and convenient for sharing with friends and family because it is online and very user friendly. Cons Because it is linked to my Google account I am a little concerned about the security of the files that I store. Everything you need to get out of it is easy to understand & utilize. Pros I love the integration options it has with so many different softwares/platforms, making it even easier to share or upload files wherever needed. Cons It seems like the 'date modified' section isn't always accurate, which can be a bit annoying because there have been times where I know for sure I uploaded an image 1+ month ago, but the date modified will show me 1 week ago, for example. Incredibly useful and easy to navigate. I am more often satisfied than dissatisfied. Pros It is easy to use and the folders help organize all of my documents across all of the Google workspaces. I like being able to attach documents to my emails quickly and being able to collaborate with other people and share resources. Also really like being able to search for documents quickly. I also like being able to attach external apps to my drive for other purposes such as pdf editing. Cons There isn’t enough storage outside of organizational use. That is kind of annoying especially since storage is divided throughout the Google workspace. I also don’t always like the ownership portion of documents because if you forget to make a copy, you tend to lose access without even knowing. Review Source Antonio C. It is a very valuable tool for me. We use it on our leadership team at church also, which makes sharing and collaboration far easier. Pros I love that this is a product I do not have to pay for. I am also grateful that I can get more storage by paying for it though. But even with the free version, I have never found the end of the storage capacity. I like how easy it is to create folders and organize everything from my other Google services. I love that I can easily upload documents and store them. I will admit that sometimes I find the search to be less effective or intuitive than I would like. I have actually been quite frustrated at times trying to search for a document or folder and finding it difficult to find it. I do REALLY love being able to share files, docs, folders, etc with others, though if they do not have a Gmail account it can be less effective of course. Pros I like that Google Drive is multifunctional. I use it for work as well as my personal life (journaling, wedding album on there for keeping & sharing with guests) and hobbies (writing). I also always used to use it as a student for easy collaboration. I appreciate that it runs much faster at work than our computer’s filing system (so much so, we moved almost everything over to use it primarily) and that it is easier to create and move files to Google Drive than to back up to an external hard drive/USB. Other features that I like are that you can edit permissions to give users access to read-only, comment-only, or fully edit, and you can scan written notes and save as a PDF. Cons What I like least is that the scanning feature says it creates ‘searchable’ PDFs, but the PDF is essentially a photo saved onto a document, it does not recognize individual words or letters so it is not currently searchable. It works well across mobile devices, laptops, and multiple browsers, making it a great option for quickly storing, reviewing, and editing various file types. Google's seamless collaboration options across its suite of apps also makes it a great option for working on documents with teams. Cons I have been with Google since the beginning, so I do remember when storage space was unlimited and free. That is not the case any longer, but GDrive's rates are more than reasonable. I am currently updating all paperwork to exist on Google drive Cons Playback of videos could be quicker but has definitely improved. For teams or solo use, it takes a lot of stress out of managing files, especially when deadlines are tight or projects move quickly. Cons While Google Drive is useful, I’ve noticed that over time it can become a bit messy. Shared folders pile up, naming conventions vary by person, and it can take longer than expected to find the exact file you’re looking for. On top of that, figuring out who has access to what isn’t always clear. I’ve accidentally shared documents with the wrong settings or had to follow up with teammates to request access. It works well overall, but the more people and files you have involved, the harder it becomes to keep everything organized and permissions consistent. File upload and download is very reliable and quick, and is easy to do as well. Additional storage space comes as part of the Workspace bundle which makes the pricing of its storage competitive with other providers. Sharing files is super easy and you can easily control how much or little access you want to give, and to who. Cons One really key issue for me -- it's frustrating that it doesn't support viewing or opening files that are larger than 100mb. As a marketer frequently dealing with large files (graphics-heavy), it means that I still have to pay for a separate piece of software to access those certain files outside of Google. In addition to that, the whole google ecosystem is straightforward to use whether it be documents, sheets, forms. I love being able to upload files from my phone as well. Cons Not much. When videos are dragged from photos on the computer, they sometimes don't transfer as videos. But it can be easily fixed by clicking import and selecting the videos as opposed to drag-and-drop. Its an amazing platform to store any for of documents, presentations, photos. On top of that, you can also use the cloud for any more storage if needed. Amazing and you can work on docs offline. E-mail is also accessed there and its just user-friendly. Cons There isn't anything that I dislike about Google drive, honestly a 10/10 product. I recommend it to everyone.
