### "Streamlined Collaboration and Secure Storage: A Comprehensive Review of Google Drive"

June 16, 2023

5.0

Google Drive is widely regarded as a versatile and reliable cloud storage and file management platform. Users appreciate its seamless integration with other Google services, ample free storage space, and easy accessibility from various devices.

Pros

Ample Storage Space: Google Drive offers a generous amount of free storage space (15 GB) for users, providing ample room to store a significant number of files and documents. Additionally, you have the option to purchase additional storage if needed.

Cons

Limited Offline Access: While Google Drive offers offline access to files through its mobile apps, the offline functionality is not as comprehensive as working online. Some users have expressed the desire for more robust offline capabilities, especially for accessing and editing files from desktop devices.

### "This software changed the game"

December 13, 2018

5.0

It's amazing, I love these Google products and the fact they are so good has really made me change my mind about Google as a company as a whole. I understand they get access to reams of user data, the likes of which has never been seen before when giving this app out for so cheap, but it really feels like an act of philanthropy. I don't think group collaboration or business will ever be the same again. This software opens the world up to everybody everywhere, no longer having to crack a version of Microsoft in order to start a company or send your dissatation to your teacher.

Pros

It's changed the whole way people do personal computing. The price is so affordable, the ease of use is out of this world and the ability to now collaborate with others will never be the same again. Firstly the way I can edit documents in real time with other people is extraordinary, this has saved me so much pain and frustration having to export document formats so people on different operating systems can tediously format them to see what I'm doing and send them back. Secondly, I can't imagine the amount of genius in this world has been lost to a crashing computer, weeks of work disappearing due to an old machine or crashing software. I know students will never be able to use this excuse again and for them that's sad, but my work constantly being saved to the cloud so I never lose it is unbelievable. Next the revision software you can do on Google drive documents. The fact I can go back into my revision history and see who did what when and jump back. I wouldn't have even imagined this was possible. Lastly, the awesome document link sharing feature, sharing a link so easily to get others accsess is awesome.

Cons

The sharing feature drives me mad, every time I move a file around my drives it asks me if I'm sure I want to share the file with people in the new file. This is so annoying. I know exactly who and why I am sharing my files with, this safety feature is so tedious. Also the fact I have to change the sharing options every time I share the file with somebody, you've sent a document to somebody happy that the next day they are going to make the edits and you get an email back in the AM saying "sorry I couldn't do the work, I didn't have the correct accsess", I'd rather learn the lesson the hard way (somebody getting the file that I didn't want them to) than having to update the sharing settings everytime I give somebody a link.

### "I would highly recommend Google drive to any business owner!"

September 8, 2021

5.0

As I stated above Google Drive solves many business problems the number one thing is that is inexpensive and it can do many different things for the business person and be accessible for those who are disabled which is important to me since I have cerebral palsy and have to use voice activation a lot for my documents. I would recommend this to any business owner especially those just starting out in the yard looking for something inexpensive to be able to store their documents and or write documents especially if you use voice activation.

Pros

Google is an inexpensive tool for business owners especially that are just starting out this tool has become an indispensable option in our everyday business life. We are able to share documents and crip documents if needed and sort and search documents how to easily find what we need and quickly. It is also very accessible for those with disabilities as you can use voice activation both on your mobile and on your laptop system. It allows you to easily communicate and share things with clients and employees.

Cons

One of the biggest cons about this product is that even when you divided into folders is still stays in the main list of all your documents so when you're looking at the main list of all your documents in the drive everything is there and not divided into specific folders though it also saves it in a separate folder to me this is confusing and if it is separated out of the main list it should stay separated out of the main list inside folder. Keeping everything in the main list despite trying to divide it out gets things cluttered and Confused.

### "I've been using Google Drive for years and I love it!"

September 22, 2021

5.0

Google Drive is an exceptionally accommodating instrument in saving, transferring, and altering my records. It naturally saves everything while at the same time guaranteeing that my records and archives are protected and ensured. Along these lines, Google Drive is a saint that saves me on the regular.

Pros

Google Drive is one of the least demanding most easy to use items I have worked at any point ever with. I have never objected to utilizing Google Drive or any of their product items, to such an extent that I have never at any point reached client assistance or mulled over everything! Each time they make transforms they update you and do a little stroll through when you open it up. This is something very accommodating for any individual who is reluctant with regards to another update or beginning. Sharing, getting, and altering reports has never been simpler for me. As somebody who is continually utilizing Google Drive I will consistently prescribe it to any individual who isn't utilizing it. The best part is the length of you have a record you can impart to anyone...and its elusive somebody who doesn't have a Gmail account! 10/10 is the thing that I would rate Google Docs I have attempted to consider things to change or that I am not a fanatic of and I can't concoct any on the grounds that that is the means by which extraordinary it is.

Cons

What I like least with regards to Google Drive is to get to Docs, Spreadsheets, or Forms from the cell you need to download separate applications. This is simply because the clients that I work with aren't generally the most well informed so to download several applications or to cause them to do it tends to be somewhat precarious and an expectation to learn and adapt. This is me being finicky however, in light of the fact that there isn't a thing I would change about Google Drive. It is so easy to understand and simple to access and move around in that I don't have the foggiest idea what else could be changed to improve it!

### "Google Drive keeps my life organized! "

October 6, 2022

5.0

FANTASTIC! I honestly cannot rave enough about Google Drive. It's so incredibly intuitive, efficient, easily accessible from anywhere, I can switch easily between personal and work accounts, you name it. Drive helps keep my life organized.

Pros

What isn't to like about Google Drive?! I use it for personal use AND professional use and find it so incredibly handy and intuitive that I simply default to Drive when needing to create, share, store, and collaborate with files. I can easily access Drive from my computer or phone enabling me to work or access files wherever I am. I also love that I can easily switch between my personal and work accounts with ease.

Cons

Is it bad that I have yet to find something that I don't like about Google Drive? Maybe more color options for files?

### "A Content Marketer's Dream"

Overall, Google Drive has been a fantastic remote work solution that effectively replaced Dropbox (which had been difficult to work with in the past). As someone who creates/edits/manages dozens of files each day, Google Drive is an essential part of my routine, and I don't know what I would do without it.

Pros

I love that Google Drive makes it easy to create, upload, and store files that can be accessed from anywhere in the world (on any device) by simply logging in to the platform. As a member of a distributed and mostly remote team, this is crucial. I also like all of the real-time editing options across Google products (sheets, docs, etc), as they facilitate seamless collaboration no matter where my team is. Additionally, the sharing options are simple and files can be shared with multiple team members in a matter of seconds.

Cons

I wish the default access level wasn't restricted so you wouldn't have to manually change to editor-level access each time you share a file.

Switched from

Dropbox was not easy to use and we often encountered issues that made it difficult to access our files. Additionally, we needed a better way to leave comments/suggestions on content without constantly having to re-upload it to a file-sharing service.

### "If you're not using Google Drive you need to "

September 16, 2021

5.0

Google Drive is one of the easiest most user friendly products I have ever worked with. I have never had a problem with using Google Drive or any of their software products, so much so that I have never even contacted customer support or thought about it! Every time they make changes they update you and do a little walk through as soon as you open it up. This is something that is super helpful for anyone who is hesitant about a new update or getting started. Sharing, receiving, and editing documents has never been easier for me. As someone who is constantly using Google Drive I will always recommend it to anyone who isn't using it. The best part is as long as you have an account you can share with anyone...and its hard to find someone who doesn't have a Gmail account! 10/10 is what I would rate Google Docs I have tried to think of things to change or that I am not a fan of and I can't come up with any because that is how great it is.

Pros

Google Drive is something I have been using for years now. Every job I have had has used Google Drive to share documents with everyone. What I liked most using google drive is you can share it with unlimited users but can change everyone's access. For example my team and I share many documents with people but we make sure we are the only ones who can edit it, as the others will just have permission to view and/or comment. This is so helpful because you can keep track of what's being changed or not have to worry about someone changing something they shouldn't. Another amazing feature is how fast everything can be created through Google Drive any kind of document, PDF, Spreadsheet, Survey form, etc. all can be created within minuets. They layouts that they have already preset as an option is what makes starting whatever project so much easier.

Cons

The thing I like least about Google Drive is in order to access Docs, Spreadsheets, or Forms from the cell phone you have to download separate apps. This is only because the customers that I work with aren't always the most tech savvy so to download a couple of apps or to make them do it can be kind of tricky and a learning curve. This is me being nit picky though, because there is not a thing I would change about Google Drive. It is so user friendly and easy to access and move around in that I don't know what else could be changed to make it better!

### "Seamlessly synchronize and secure your data storage with Google drive"

August 9, 2022

5.0

Absolutely satisfactory

Pros

Google Drive has very effective mobility features in its ability to access files everywhere, fast file transfer and offers better ample storage for robust information. Device synchronization is guaranteed as well as security of stored files. The creation of backup copies is also possible and it is compatible with most smart devices.

Cons

Poor user interface and limited synchronization with other tools except with Gmail. Also, its multiple users cause a noticeable lag during peak periods.

### "Online cloud storage at its best"

August 1, 2021

5.0

With the help of Google drive, a lot more training data needs to be shared with our customers; therefore we are pretty much able to do that without facing any issues. Clients can see and use that data only which we have shared with the. The overall encryption and privacy features are amazing. Other than online cloud storage, user can directly preview the data which he has uploaded; can manage all the files and documents in separate folders. I personally use the application on daily basis in our organisation

Pros

There are multiple features that I love about the software. First of them is the privacy sharing which allows users to share with whom user wants to share. He/she can add all the relevant email ids and only those set of people will be able to see that particular data. As it is very easy to use, In our organisation we are using this software entirely when we are sharing something outside our organisation or even with our internal employees.

Cons

Uploading speed is the issue which we have felt in the organisation when uploading the data which they can work more on. They can also add more features related to image editing and conversion of file in lot more different formats. Budget I feel is more for enterprises which they can reduce to some extent or provide discount to old companies.

This isnt.my first choice for a paid cloud storage product, but I absolutely appreciate the free service.

Pros

Drive is a great beginner and even backup product for the really important stuff. The free 15GB storage is wonderful and I appreciate the file types you can create. There is also a broad range of plug-ins that enhance it's already robist features. Collaboration features are excellent!

Cons

### "Google Drive Reviews"

October 2, 2022

5.0

Google Drive is a cloud storage and synchronization service that allows users to access their storage from anywhere on the internet. It is used to back up the data on digital devices. Google Drive is fairly simple to use and doesn't require any expertise. Its formatting is condensed, user-friendly, and the organization of the storage for various file kinds is excellent.

Pros

Finding and deleting huge and unnecessary files from Google Drive, especially items shared with you, is one of the few things that is still cumbersome and difficult in the online interface. It has, undoubtedly, improved significantly since the introduction of Google One. Now, an interface guides you in identifying the root cause of almost full storage and identifies potential trouble spots as you dig deeper.

Cons

Overall, using Google Drive at my prior employment was a terrific entry-level experience. In this position, I gained a lot of knowledge and formed many valuable relationships. After three years, my work was no longer challenging, which was one of the reasons I was ready to move on.

### "Documents All In One Place With Google Drive "

Pros

What I like most about Google Drive is the data management and how it automatically backs up your data. Plus all of my documents are thus in one place so using this app is very helpful and useful.

Cons

What I like least about Google Drive is the amount of GB it normally has for free. I believe it only has 32GB so I have to actually buy more GB a month for the storage, but it's worth it to me.

### "A great tool for collaborate and keep your files safe and accessible"

July 18, 2019

5.0

I use Drive every single day to collaborate on my work and to keep files accessible on my personal life. Is super easy to use tool to keep your files safe, although there are better alternatives if you need to store huge files.

Pros

Google Drive is my way to go if I need anything to be shared with friends and colleagues, Drive is so widespread in its use that virtually everyone will suggest you use it and frankly I rarely suggest something else. It's great for small teams to collaborate on multiple files, Google Docs makes it super easy to work over spreadsheets and text documents and you can also access previous versions of the file. You can also see who is editing the document right now and where is their cursor positioned. A huge benefit that Google Drive brings is that I know that my files are safe, even if I lose my computer my stuff will be there. The desktop client is quite reliable and is fast. Also, it integrates perfectly with the plethora of other services offered by Google, obviously. I like the sharing features available, you can generate a link, create groups, assign capabilities and even change the ownership of a file and folder.

Cons

This is not really an issue, but Google Drive is not mean to be used as a file transfer service, you can use it like that but your Drive will end up cluttered with files you don't need, other services are better for that. I still can't believe you can't see how much a folder weighs! Or how many files it contains. Would be great to have a better metric on what is taking up space, for example, see what folder is taking up space rather than just files. Somewhat the competitors are offering three times more space for free, so as a backup service only, Drive is losing terrain.

### "Google Drive is a great option for Small business"

May 12, 2022

5.0

I became a heavy Google Drive user about 5 years ago, when I started working for a marketing company that handled all their creative work in Drive, text documents, spreadsheets and slideshows. The best about G-Drive and the thing that separates it from competition is the vast integration to its native apps, that make the whole environment more productive, all in one place. I still manage the majority of my work by sharing with coworkers and clients some content store in shared folders perfectly encrypted and protected. The offline Addon is mandatory incase you need to work without internet connection, and it works marvelously on its native Google Chrome Browser. As a Mac user I also have tried using Safari. So far so good. Not all features are available but it works great. If you have a chromecast, you can cast your screen of a set of slideshows directly to any with the device connected. Mobile and tablet apps are great, and in constant update / development. They synchronize really quick and don't consume so much resources. I'm still not so fond of the new "virtual drive" app for desktop, I prefer the old "backup and sync" app and the sync system based on folders. Sometimes, the Mac desktop app have crashed during sync. Overall, it's highly recommended for small business or freelancers that need to share their work in an easy and secure way. For all Google accounts you receive 15 GB for free, and upgrades from 100GB to 2Tb are not that expensive for a small business budget

Pros

The basic free 15GB of storage and the integration / development with so many apps to set up your office work, all in one place.

Cons

I'm still not that fan of the new "virtual drive" thing, I miss the old system of online backup of selected folders. The Mac OS drive has collapsed a few times, even having to restart the computer because of it

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Google Drive

The incorporation and development of all the other Office Tools like Docs, Sheets, Slides and Meet. You not only store files in the drive, you also work, edit and share them.

### "Best Cloud Service Storage Presently in the Market"

August 13, 2021

5.0

My overall experience with Google Drive is great. It offers great storage on a free Tier, Faster file uploads, and super fast File Sharing. Pretty easy to use and has a very clean UI. I can easily recommend Google Drive to anyone for their file-sharing or collaboration work. Simple and Best.

Pros

Firstly, the free Tier offers you 15 GB of storage (it's maximum among all the market leaders be it Onedrive, Dropbox). It's super easy to use a clean User Interface and awesome file sharing and file permission features. Google Drive Servers are super fast (data transfer rate over a good Internet Connection is very good). Document Editing and compatibility of docs of Microsoft Office are also very great (plenty of much you need for the basic editing can be done via online Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides). Overall I'll say GoogleDrive is the best Cloud Storage service presently in the market (no regrets :)

Cons

Truly there's nothing I didn't like on GoogleDrive, I have been using it for 2+ years but never faced any issue with File Sharing, Document Uploading. It's just all awesome.

### "Google Drive - User Friendly App"

August 3, 2021

5.0

My overall experience with Google drive has been hassle free. The best part about is that I can work on one file among others with help of collaboration tool in real time. I can share any form of document by just adding email ID. I have the whole access of my file, without my permission Google drive never allows others to edit or comment. I can create folders in drive and save files accordingly. I can also work offline like without internet access how cool is that!!! I can blog anytime I want and not worry about internet access. I can even encrypt my important files. Also I can store my work in here and best part I can access Google drive on my mobile too. What else do I need!!!

Pros

Yes. Google drive is easy to use. You can easily save your files, share them with your colleagues, you have 100% control over the file where only you can provide access to others with view, edit and comment. There is nothing to worry about your important document as it has the feature of encryption you can protect it with password. Also you can work on any file you want without internet too.

Cons

I didn't came across anything like least likeable feature about Google drive yet. For me it has worked pretty well.

It's been great, I use it for business. I will keep using it to automatically store the copies amounts of files I am sent daily.

Pros

It is extremely capable when it comes to savings documents from your email. It never misses a beat.

Cons

Sometimes what I dislike is what I like. I only have one gripe. Since it automatically takes documents from my email it eats up space and I have to manually delete files. Perhaps if I was sent tips on how to optimize it, or an easy chat function that would help.

### "Great for People Just Starting Out"

October 5, 2022

4.0

I think overall, Google Drive is a great tool for those with less than 15GB of files to upload and share. I think there are still improvements that should be made but when using the free version, I can't complain too much.

Pros

You get 15GB of FREE storage. Can't be mad at free. For those with not a lot of files to upload and share, this will work perfectly. You can organize your files by creating folders and the subfolders within those folders.

Cons

It would be nice to have more intricate file sharing/editing options for files within Google Drive. Something along the lines of Microsoft Sharepoint. Google Drive does tend to alter the audio quality on audio files being uploaded and shared as well.

### "My loyal partner for my Work"

October 14, 2022

5.0

Everything I do today is through google drive, be it documents I write, pictures I save, spreadsheets I create, slides they share with me... everything I do through drive and on a daily basis. In other words, this tool is extremely relevant to me. I can save, create, edit, open and send any file without worrying about storage space on my hd, since it is saved in the cloud. I can access it from any device, be it a computer, mobile phone or anywhere I have internet access. I can share work materials with others in a secure and exclusive way.

Pros

What I like most is the ability to store files up to 15GB for free. Being able to access remotely and the automatic saving. It is very easy and intuitive to upload files into google drive.

Cons

There are only two layout options: list and grid. Maybe it would be a little more interesting to think about modernizing and making it even more intuitive and pleasant for those who start using it today.

### "Google Drive is a place for everything and keeps everything in its place"

October 9, 2022

5.0

My overall experience with Google Drive, thus far, has been good. It has been a real lifesaver for my team of writers, editors, artists, and so forth. This software has allowed us to stay on top of all of our tasks in real time. Thus, making our workflow more efficient and practically effortless with the ease it allows us. Everyone knows what they are meant to be working on at all times, keeping everyone on task and stress-free, which is most important -- because happy creators means better art. Aside from the fact that I have had a similar issue to the one I have had with Google Docs, the issue of not being able to add multiple collaborators to a single file at a time on occasion for no reason, I would have to say my experience with Google Drive has been pretty amazing.

Pros

So far from what I have experienced using Google Drive, the experience has been very positive. I like the fact that it allows my team and I to have a place where we can keep all of our files and documents safely and confidentially. I also like the fact it allows for us to be able to collaborate on projects in real time amongst ourselves and with outsourced freelance contractors. Almost hands-free because it doesn't feel like we are all chained to a desk at all times to get our work done because of the remote and mobile access features allowed by the software.

Cons

So far the only thing that I have experienced as far as a bug in the Google Drive software is pretty much the same issue I have had with Google Docs. The issue is that sometimes it is difficult to have more than one person allowed to collaborate on a file at a time. If they were able to fix this, the software would be close to perfect.

Reason for choosing Google Drive

My team and I determined it would be more efficient and cost effective to choose Google Drive.

It wasn't able to handle the workload required to keep up with the size and pace of my team. Plus, some of the features seemed a bit outdated in comparison to Google's more streamlined format.

### "The best storage and collaboration tool, it can be used throughout the company."

5.0

I use Google Drive to store and share all work-related materials, as well as send articles to customers and partners for evaluation. It has also functioned as a solid backup for all files. In my business, we utilize Google Drive to share files on specialized projects that include workers from several teams and regions. We also use it to collaborate on the creation of presentations and papers, as well as to keep track of modifications made to those assets.

Pros

Integration with Google office suite, including Google Docs, Sheets, and Presentations, and a user-friendly interface Even a novice may use the platform; files are simply separated; and files of various categories can be saved, searched, and viewed. It's simple to share the files; the sender can grant the recipient access to view, modify, comment, or do everything. The download and upload speeds are rather poor, and the procedure takes a long time.

Cons

The pace of downloading and uploading files is rather poor, the procedure takes a long time, and there are file size constraints, making it a less than ideal platform for transferring big amounts of data. One major issue with the platform is that only users with Gmail accounts may edit files; persons with other domains can only see Google Drive files; this can be a significant disadvantage for enterprises with other domains.
