Pros

I like the updates that have came out in the recent years. It is more user friendly. Easy to get around, that is if you know how to get around.

Cons

Having to go into different tabs to get information that should be able to be gathered in one single place under one list.

Pros

Aspire has eliminated double entry of many items throughout the process of landscape contracting. The software has provided our company the ability to have real time access to information in a way we never had before. Like many landscape companies, we had been operating on several spreadsheet documents to operate our business. The move to Aspire allowed us to have all our information in one place that is readily available anywhere that we have an internet connection. The Aspire team is very responsive any time we have a problem or concern. Aspire was the step we needed to take in order to keep scaling our business and to get to the next level.

Cons

As with all software, there are bugs that pop up that can be frustrating at times. The software was originally designed for landscape maintenance, therefore sometimes we have to come up with creative ways to handle things for our landscape construction part of the business (though Aspire is working on solutions for many of these instances now).

Pros

You can get very detailed information from this software. Great real time data!

Cons

The integration was tough. We are still working on getting everyone up to speed, especially the field employees. Also, there is little customization in the invoicing module and most of our customers have trouble interpreting their invoices.

The large amount of functionality accross all aspects of the business is beneficial, as long as it is used correctly

Cons

It would be nice if there was a more user-friendly interface. The many functions are not easy to utilize without proper training

Aspire allow us to do job costing in a detail, clearly showing the jobs are less profitable and help us be more profitable.

Cons

While the deployment program is very easy to use, Aspire requires trained users to function efficiently, and when things are not managed timely, it can tend to lead to discrepancies.

Our proposals and invoices are now consistent and clear. Bid rates are also now consistent whereas before they varied depending on who was doing the estimating.

Pros

Proposal output is clear and clean looking for our clients. Estimating is easy and the whole company is bidding at the same rates. New item input is easy for items not previously entered into the system.

Cons

Receiving items that have been purchased is a bit of a process. Getting easier as I work with it more though.

The onboard process was painful and we are still not clear on many critical elements but we think a consultant is going to help us figure it out.

Pros

How that it can make us better, more profitable and more efficient.

Cons

We are almost all time and materials and thought that Aspire could do that well. So far, it has not worked that way.

Cumbersome. Training needs to be role specific and ramp up over year 1 as end users get more comfortable with the software.

Pros

Ease of putting estimates together once Kits are built.

Cons

Intensive ramp up period. Training offerings don't match the need.

I like the idea that we can do landscape and service together on one system. We have not fully started using it on the service side so it is hard to tell how that will go at this point

Cons

I do not like the routing system. I feel like with all the capabilities of Aspire, the ease of routing should be better. Most people that I talked to end up using Google to determine the order of the route which is frustrating.

I love how easy the software is to use. While i received training i feel like the software is easy to navigate and figure out on my own.

Nothing really to complain about besides maybe in Purchase Receipts i wish there was an easier way to allocate items.

The level of support and assistance we’ve received has been exceptional. Our deployment schedule was aggressive, and most of our challenges at this point relate to gaps in training (or lack of retention).

Pros

The visibility it creates.l for branch management and it’s integrated features (qualified lead to estimating, estimating to tickets, tickets to scheduling & purchasing, and invoicing...)

Cons

Inability to put system controls in place to minimize mistakes, particularly related to mishandling tickets and selecting services within an estimate tied to the wrong division.

My cons within Aspire were caused by me not receiving the correct training needed on our end, not Aspire. Once I started using the software correctly all of my cons went away.
