Director of Operations Industrial Automation Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Highly Flexible MRP" August 11, 2023 5.0 This is the second company that I have successfully deployed MieTrak Pro at; and the second company that has seen immediate results and improvements to efficiency and profitability. Their support team is quick and responsive and I have seen many features that we have requested be implemented over the years. Pros One of the largest advantages over other software is the support included as part of the annual support agreement. The software receives constant updates and improvements and you can always ticket the support team for help. These updates lead to new features and ways to manage production. Ultimately, this fuels continual improvement within the organization with new ways to better capture and maintain production data. However, the dynamic nature of the software introduces some challenges when something is changed or broken.Our team just rolled out an update to our barcoding system including product images on our inventory labels. This is just one recent feature rolled out in a 2023 update that we have turned into a time-saving continual improvement project. Cons The heavy customization of MieTrak opens up when you have staff that are knowledgeable about SQL and report writing. While MieTrak support will write custom reports and scripts; new users of the software would see much more creative use of the tools within MieTrak if their own staff understand the underlying system. The ease of implementation and knowledge in the system allows for considerable customization. They were very helpful with importing all of our data from our old ERP and accounting system and have a responsive team. We really love the fact that we have ONE system now instead of duplicate entry into multiple softwares. Pros The single most liked feature of this software for me is their integration with other software database systems. Mie was very helpful in getting the data flowing between Pronest and Mie Trak Pro. The last company we used before wouldn't lift a finger to help get customized communication, but we were able to get it up and running after a meeting or two. Another thing I like about Mie Trak is how they have so much information on each page. You can use your arrow key or mouse and scroll down through RFQ's, orders, items, PO's, etc and look over each of the said objects. We also really like how the Mie Trak does the time and material collections on each work order, although we haven't fully implemented that feature yet. Cons It took me a while to understand how each item has a quote and router associated with it on manufactured items. We manufacture custom parts, so we enter new part numbers daily. You need to create a new item, and generate a quote from it to where you will enter manufacturing details to create your cost. After, you win the job, you will need to then create a router from the quote so your work order can pull those details. I'm not sure why the work order couldn't pull the information from the quote directly, but there may be reasons I'm unaware of. In the past we were accustomed to sending emails to the customers with their bill with a payment link where they could enter ACH or credit card information and pay that way. We can still email our customer's invoice within the system, but it would be nice for Mie Trak to have a system that could do that. Pros As a job shop who serves various industries, we are constantly needing to send lead-time updates to our customers. MIE Trak allows us the ability to give real-time tracking info to our customers about the status of their order. We can see how many parts have been completed, or what manufacturing stage they are currently at and provide that information quickly over the phone or email without leaving the office. We are able to exercise full control over the shop via the system and communicate all aspects of the manufacturing processes to customers and suppliers.One of our favorite functions is the ability to create custom reports for any module. We can easily prepare data and arrange it in any manner we choose, then print or save it as a PDF with our company logo to share with customers and suppliers. The system is great for generating custom OOR's, RMA's, Certs, etc.Working with the team at MIE Solutions has been a great experience and they are always responsive to our feedback. Often the issues we find are quickly fixed via updates and they are continuously improving the software all the time. Cons Any issues that we have experienced have been quickly resolved by the MIE Solutions team, so there is nothing negative to report at this time. President Machinery Used the software for: 2+ years ### "I Love MIE-Track" March 20, 2023 5.0 MIE is an experience by itself. It can be a simplistic or powerful to integrate. It allows you to choose which modules and capabilities that are important to your organization. We currently have not integrated the accounting module because our CPA has a proprietary application. The more time I spend with MIE and the great people on the support line, I find that you are never finished with the implementation. I now know all the talented people at MIE including \[sensitive content hidden\] and others. They always assign my tickets to the most informative person for the subject, and the response time is very fast. Pros The features in MIE that I love the best are the work orders with bar codes. This allows the plant workers to easily log in /out of the various sequences. Prior to MIE we had painful hand written time sheets. Other great features is the shipping/invoicing that can generate 100s of shipping labels in minutes. The inventory module is simple and updates inventory in real time. I really love the daily back-ups so I feel our data is always secure and protected. Cons I struggled with the quoting module at first to allow the material cost to be nested across parts for real costing, however MIE is not a post processor and we use SigmaNest for nesting. Reason for choosing MIE Trak Pro The Sales Manager \[sensitive content hidden\] and I hit it off immediately and he knew the application so well instead of others sales people who do not use their products. \[sensitive content hidden\] customized a local training opportunity for us as well. The price point was reasonable for a small precision metal fabricator, compared to other ERP systems that are 50K plus with no cusotmization. Anytime I have an issue, I submit a ticket, and one of the reps will contact me same day to help me fix it or find a better way. Every single person I have dealt with has been AMAZING! They are so helpful and knowledgeable and they will stick with the ticket until it is resolved or another avenue has been found that works better. Hands down, their customer service is the best! Pros MIE Trak Pro is user friendly, easy to navigate, has multiple functions that fit our industry, but most importantly, we are able to track each job/work order from start to finish. Customer service is the very best I have ever used. Cons The only issues I have had with MIE Trak Pro are the few times I needed something that was not part of the design...usually related to the employee timeclock recordkeeping. Upgrading from MieTrak 32 was the best thing that I encountered since I was a little hesitant to with new software. Pros It's very user friendly. It allows you to customize to fit your need. August 14, 2023 5.0 We are able to go through every step of the project with MIE Trak Pro - from Estimating to Invoicing and the data communicates seamlessly from Estimating to purchasing, from purchasing to receiving, from shipping to invoicing, and etc. Our guys even clock in and out on MIE Trak Pro so I can download straight to payroll. Job costing and all kinds of other reporting is super easy. Pros Every feature is inter-linked seamlessly, there is no separate modules that you need to perform some sync feature on to communicate with another feature, it's just all there wherever you are. Cons It would be nice if we could just highlight specific lines or cells (like in a spreadsheet program) and copy them without needing to copy the entire report that Mietrak generates. The MIE Solutions team has always been there for support, weather it be questions on the phone or logging into your system remotely and helping with training or problems. Pros We have used there product since 1997.It takes the product from quoting to order entry , work order,scheduling, purchasing material, outside process,inspection, shipping and invoicing.Job history and time tracking Cons There is not really anything that sticks out. Love it! Pros I personally came from a company that used a different program and switching from the other program to Mie Trak Pro, to me, was an easy change over. I few things I had to teach myself because I made the switch over and the prior employee had not learned exactly how to use this program. My favorite and top "Like" would be the ability to post and if you find a mistake, all you have to do is go back and un-post, correct your mistake and repost again. No crediting out your whole mistake and re--doing the whole process again. Cons I'm sure I just haven't figured them all out yet, but I would like better search options with a little more detail in what your result it. Maybe even the ability to control which columns you want to include in your search. But, like I said. I made need more time with the program. If you knew what you wanted to keep an eye on your business, like employee Efficiency, Costing Report, Production Schedules, Machine maintenance, Request for Quote Report (to measure the success on each quote) Sales /Revenue Report then you could design all these reports for it -under “Quick View” Great BOM features- Enable you to drill down to difference level of BOM -anyone who is a Cost Accountant would love this feature. Cons As we are in Australia, we are not able to reach the support teams on the same day due to time difference, but we always received quick responded answer in the following morning.The system can be overwhelming for a new employee/starter as it has many features with difference functions and levels.
