Pros: The sales module is not that bad. But the support is horrible. Usually the tech support / training does not have an answer, or a fix. They have actually referred us to dealers to ask how they use their own software. Absolutely crazy. After we were sold and contracted on the system the salesperson moved on. Would not return emails, and if he did was rude. Service side of the program is really bad. Scheduling customers is done separate from the ROs and makes it a nightmare to work with. It also has errors all the time. Like if you click on the service screen it closes out the program out sometimes. Also you have to keep going in and out of different screens to build and RO.

Cons: 1. Does not do half the things the sales person told us it would.
2. Customer support has been some of the worst I have ever seen.
3. Sales Tax Reports are worthless
4. No Floor Plan Calculating. ( So while working every deal you have to go out and make sure you account for floor ) Not to mention its not something you want everyone to have access to.
5. Basically they sell it as one system. But if you use it for anything more than sales it has another program that handles service parts and accounting. It looks like it is from the 50's and operates about the same. They sell you by showing the sales side of it that looks really pretty. Then once you get the program you see that was not the main system you work out of. Almost like a bait and switch.

Overall: We have ended up after 6 months with Autosoft being far worse off then when we started. It has been a complete nightmare. Beware. It is not what the salesperson sold us on. Make sure you demo the Accounting side and the Service Side. Complete waste of money.

Comments: Information from Repair Orders sometimes will switch from one RO to another, Prices have been going up, up and up forcing us to look for a provider that we get what we pay for. It seems since the business has changed hands its value has plummeted

Doesn't integrate with anything

Comments: Autosoft could be a great product, but it doesn't integrate with ANY of our other programs. We work constantly to keep everything running smoothly between databases, programs and vendors and our biggest (and truthfully only) road block is AutoSoft. By itself, it works great... but unfortunately in today's automotive age, your product has to be able to talk to other products. Also, the couple of times I called support they seemed to know only as much as I do about the product. It's a good price, but in the end, you get what you pay for.

Pros: Cheap Cost, live customer care, easy to Use

Cons: Not very in-depth with their reporting tools, not always able to achieve what I need to

Overall: AutoSoft isn't the most involved DMS out there, and there are times when we need in-depth reporting that we're unable to achieve, but it's also one of the cheapest DMS's out there - hence my review title - you get what you pay for. For the most part, it gets the job done!

Recommendations to other buyers: People will get what they pay for. If they're a dealership that doesn't go too in-depth with reporting, or ask too much of the DMS, it will suit their needs just fine!
