Overwhelmingly positive.

Pros

It can be hosted where you want and customized to a high degree.

Cons

It's a bit sparsely supported. It took a bit of effort to set up. But you can of course buy it as a managed service

We have an excellent experience with NC, although issues arising from an Android app not finding a way to reauthenticate are giving us some headaches. But as we're using the NC snap for a very specific purposes, we love it and can only recommend others to like it too.

Highly reliable and secure smail business server

Pros

Nextcloud has proved to be very easy to install and maintain (built-in updater helps install new releases in short time without hassles). CalDav and CardDav servers as well as a choice of emailapps make Nextcloud more than just private cloud storage. Ideal small business server

Cons

Nextcloud is opensource software that you will have to install and administer yourself. For larger organizations Nextcloud offers comprehensive support contracts. The fact that the German Federal government chose Nextcloud as its cloud solution speaks for itself.

I first discovered it in my first job and I adopted it for a personnal use. Then in my actual job I succesfully proposed it and implemented it. It's a nice software for who like self-hosted systems and privacy. Nice job dudes !

Pros

Suitable for personal and business use. It's easy to install and community do a great job. And above all your open-source policy !

Cons

Some bugs are known and reported on Github. The patches comes at next minor version but it can take a long time. It would be great to have a faster way to fix issues.

Secure, personal cloud space with no capacity limit! Native mobile and desktop apps!

Pros

The ability for it to be hosted on a wide variety of platform including on NAS was brilliant. Sharing was easy, creating users was a breeze. And because it syncs the local copy rather than a network share, everyone still has access to the files when the network is down! Native apps on iOS and Android was great!

Cons

Folders are shared by owner. If the owner of the folder leaves the system, you will need command line access to transfer ownership of the folders. Workaround was to download the entire folder and upload it again.

It's great that it offers so many features as open source. Most of its paid counterparts are not as successful as nexcloud.

Cons

The overall experience with Nextcloud is great we use it all the time and it runs great on our Truenas box. We use it all the time for when we might be doing a service call and need to upload something for our techs to take a look at but don't have to worry about it being accessed from someone at a big company like Microsoft.

Pros

The customization for the service is very nice and allows us to make it fit our needs. We use it on a Truenas box and it works great. Another this i like a lot is the huge amount of plugins for the service.

Cons

The thing I don't care for the most is the lack of documentation for the Freenas / Truenas integrations for when something goes wrong. Also the lack of 2fa out of the box is down side as well.

Pros

Nextcloud has enabled my small business to operate at peak conditions without all the licensing and fee headaches of other similar products. The ease of deployment and the added extra confidence of self hosting your own data puts my mind at ease.

Cons

Nextcloud offers tons of features and apps but the process and knowledge base on how to find/enable/configure each of them (such as Talk or Circles) can be daunting. Documentation is OK, but utilizing the native app selection from within the Nextcloud instance went right over my head my first go around.

Pros

Almost every Google products has an alternative on Nextcloud!

The ergonomy is sometimes less perfect than on Google products

Lo que más me gusta del software es poder compartir un arbol de directorios con distintos usuarios y que tengan los cambios disponibles nada más terminar de editar los archivos. el poder implementar permisos es también de gran ayuda.

Cons

Lo que menos me gusta son algunos conflictos de versiones de archivos que se generan cuando da la casualidad de que 2 usuarios editan un mismo archivo que suelen dar un poco de guerra.

Pros

Nice Upgades, Open Source, Federation, Easy Custumization possible

Cons

The Worst about Nextcloud is not related to the it directly. I am missing the ecosystem around it. For example there is no right solution for notes synchronization with iOS or Android. And its hard to setup mobile devices, you need to type in every connection like CalDav, CardDav. I am missing the exchange connection (I know its a paid feature).

Having Free cloud storage you control with free mobile apps

Pros

Nice to have cloud service that you host and control on your own server. The calendar can be easily shared. Nice to have file sharing and uploading for back of file and photos. Easily connect with mobile app free from the app store. IOS and Android. Easy to setup and free SSL certificate when setting up. Has lots of add ons that you can install for free to add more features. Built in chat with video and screen sharing.

Cons

A bit advanced setup if you have never setup a server before. Have to be able to setup router ports to be able to access from outside your network.

Pros

There are a lot of guides on how to set up your own data server using Nextcloud. Once it is up and runing is a great painless experience, and you get to have total control over your own data.

Cons

Some of the plugins for Android are simply not well done.
