In the many years that we have used optimoroute, we have gained more trust with our clients, by communicating when they will be recieving their packages, verbally, creating an increase in sales to our company.

Pros

The ability to set up and track deliveries in reat time. This has helped us to communicate with our clients and make quick decisions when new orders are added to a delivery run.

Cons

\- That you can't unschedule deliveries, once driver has looked at their assigned run - Real time ETA's are inaccurate, it would benefit to link real time traffic with Waze or Google maps - The inabillity to share an individual delivery with ETA to a Customer

### "Awesome product for the price."

I've been using the service for years, I use Jobber as my CRM but the routing and automatic communication is garbage. Optimoroute has been my go to service for years now. With lot's of different needs from overnight routing for weeks, across hundreds of locations, to day to day service use. There are so many parameters which is great, but sometimes can make it hard to use for someone new to the software. I've always had someone call me and help me with service although it usually took a couple days for them to get back to me. Without a computer it's nearly impossible to edit or change your routes, the mobile desktop version doesn't work and these changes can't be made from the app.

Pros

super quick and efficient to transfer data and best routing I've found especially for the price. customer support has been amazing when I needed assistance, although it usually took a couple days to talk to someone in person. love the automated texts for tracking and appointment time frames.

Cons

Lot's of options can make it difficult to learn, some parameters will keep you from being able to route orders with no clear reasoning why. takes some time and patience to figure this out.

### "Great for dispatchers, frustrating for developers"

While OptimoRoute is a capable standalone product for dispatchers, it falls short as a developer platform. We are building a custom app around their routing engine, and the lack of administrative API endpoints forces us into clunky, manual workarounds for onboarding. It's great for basic route planning, but the API needs a major overhaul to support real scalability.

Pros

The actual route optimization engine is very powerful. Once you finally get your data and fleet configured in the system, it handles daily planning, order pushing, and live tracking reliably. It's a solid operational tool for day-to-day dispatch execution

Cons

The REST API is severely limited and not developer-friendly for administrative tasks. The biggest roadblock is that you cannot programmatically create or import new drivers or vehicles via the API. Even for a brand-new driver, you are forced to break out of your custom app and manually use their web dashboard or CSV upload to build their profile before the API can interact with them. It also lacks basic endpoints like bulk order retrieval by date, making custom integrations a hassle.

Price was the major deciding factor. Full-suite platforms like ServiceTitan and Jobber were cost-prohibitive because we would be paying a premium for CRM and invoicing features we simply didn't need. OptimoRoute gave us a much better price-to-performance ratio by offering a powerful, standalone routing engine without the bloated software costs.

### "Loveing OptimoRoute"

I love optimoroute. It has made making my route and keeping track of my drivers progress so much easier. It does everything I need it to do. I haven't found another routing service that does a better job than OptimoRoute

Pros

This app has made my routing so much easier. I like how easy it is to route and how much it saves me time communicating changes to the route with my drivers. I always recomend Optimoroute to other mom&pop trash companies since it is so inexpensive and worth every feature.

Cons

I would like to see more on demand customer support even if it is an AI chat bot helping me figure out how to fix something. Theres so many features I haven't started working with since I am not 100% sure that I know how it will work.

We are using optimoroute till 2020 and consistently view upgrade. It's a game changer in our business. Next step is to connect optimo to our ERP.

Pros

It's very user friendly using. Very fast to give experience to anybody in the business. We like too Live tracking and delivery proof.

Cons

Hard to have customizing tips, sometime we have somethings different and we don't know if we can modify.

My business wouldn't run nearly as smooth without Optimo Route. It's affordable and I am still discovering useful features. Highly recommended.

Pros

Optimo Route has been an essential routing software for my small business. I am just one man doing local residential irrigation. I can easily route all my appointments for the day, week, month, year. I have annual services and can easily schedule using past routes and copy to future visits. There are many options I don't utilize but see value as my business grows. I can easily change routes, see the addresses on a map, client names, assign priority stops, and then send it all to the driver app. I have not encountered any issues that needed support. The monthly fee is nothing compared to the value and ease. This is an entire logistics and transportation program.

Cons

There are so many software programs that offer these same logistical options within larger client service and booking programs. Once my business is big enough to use one of those complete service all-in-one management programs, I probably will not need Optimo. For now it keeps my overhead costs low as I just have to do a little extra work to manually sync with my appointment and client Mgmt program.

It's been good overall. I did have the option to plan 2 routes, but had to reduce it to 1, because of a cost increase that happened a year or two ago.

Pros

Optimoroute is easy to use, and many improvements over the years, makes that much more so. Drag and drop capability is an example.

Cons

The cost - even though compared to many others, it is relatively lower cost, it is really the only thing I can look less favourably on (yes, I'm from Canada).

I am the logistics manager of a medium-sized company. I find the platform really easy to use. It gives clear messages to customers and the GPS works well for the drivers.

Pros

The platform is really easy to use, especially when setting up the subheaders correctly. We have various amounts of data that our drivers need to use, which fit in seamlessly with the platform. It helps create route efficiency and increases productivity.

Cons

One issue is that it doesn't give to much variety when trying to use different types of vehicles. It would be great if it had a bike or a cargo bike option as they have different rules when comparing to Vans etc

### "Simple but effective"

We have used it since the Covid pandemic and have not looked into other software which performs this same job. We have looked into alternate software in most other parts of the business so this is high praise.

Pros

It is easy to use and simple to teach others. It has had improvements since I first started using it. It has allowed us to know how many drivers a day we should be using and due to this has saved the company money.

Cons

After a while you get used to what it should do/ what your routes generally look like however If you have inputted data incorrectly it is hard to pinpoint what is throwing it off. I do not know how this could be improved though.

Nothing but great, we have been using for for 3 plus years now. It has been easy to train new staff on it, our drivers seem to like the app side of it.

Pros

Ease of use, the flexibility of the product. The visual side of where the trucks are, whether they are ahead or behind schedule is nice to see. Also the customer texts when the driver is on the way is nice.

Cons

Sometimes, support isn't as quick as I like to move, but I make it work. The reporting side of the program, I wish I could customize further.

Worth the time and investment to get it set up. We can track our drivers, deliveries (the pictures are great and have saved us a number of times) and look back at past trends by delivery date.

Pros

The routing appears eminently sensible. It's pretty darned easy to use for us and our drivers. The pictures (once we started using this feature) have definitely saved our bacon.

Cons

There's a definite learning curve in how to use and integrate into our systems. Whilst it's worth it, it does feel quite laborious at the start.

It is a good value for my money and I will continue to use the product. I also enjoy the app on my phone. It perfectly shows my route and integrates with GoogleMaps to direct me to each stop.

Pros

I can simply add addresses and in seconds my day is planned. It saves me time every day from making the route to executing the route. The software is easy to learn and you can be making efficient routes within minutes. I am a single person business owner, so there are probably many great features that I am not using.

Cons

There are no cons that I have run into. I enjoy using OptimoRoute every day to maximize my time on the job.

I have made several suggestions to help with planning and growth for my business, and most have been followed up with and implemented into my routing. I appreciate that they listen and try to come up with solutions that work for my business needs. Security of client information has never been an issue for us.

Pros

Optimoroute gives me an all-inclusive look into the daily, weekly routes of all of my drivers. I have sight as to location, completion, and accuracy throughout each day. The help desk has been amazing assisting me with functionality and planning for growth.

Cons

I can't really say there was something I did not like, to start it is a little much to take in. I liked that they came out to the office to help me set up and get the basic functions going. Some things they have to set up on the back end were harder to figure out but we got thru that while their associate was here.

Both the program and the app are easy to use - the app has few screens to deal with and the options for navigation are great!

Pros

Easy to navigate and a good visual interface! The map viewable while scheduling makes it very easy to see who is going where, and if drivers may be intersecting to allow restructuring of routes.

Cons

Sometimes transferring routes to other drivers was a little confusing, but once I understood the process it was intuitive and easy.

Overall experience with OptimoRoute has been amazing. We have been users for 4+ years now and I could not imagine how much harder my job would be if I had to do my job without this program!

Pros

OptimoRoute helps our Non-Profit serve clients in our community much easier. It's a fairly cheap program that is easy to use, keeps our clients information safe and secure, and helps us be as efficient as possible when planning delivery routes along our town. It also helps keep track of successful vs unsuccessful deliveries so we can follow-up accordingly. All the set-up and import of data is easy to do!

Cons

Nothing, It's covered all our bases! There's many options I know I'm not using so I'm sure it offers way more than what I am currently using!

Time saving app. A must have for anyone who does deliveries. The customer service is very fast and effective in their responces.

Pros

Very effective route planning. Our drivers are mostly exact on schedule. Our custumers appreciate that very much.

Cons

The system has no knowledge of roadworks, wich disrupts the scheduling. That is often necessary to draw up an effective schedule.

### "Good logistic planning tool"

Good, still learning about this tool. It does help with planning the route for our drivers and also consider other factors.

Pros

This app is easy to use, the reporting function is very useful to generate KPIs and presentations if needed.

Cons

Advance reporting functions lacking although data can be exported and then you can do this in excel.

It's great. I would love to see further developments in the future, but as of now it is easy to use and navigate for my drivers as well as dispatcher

Pros

It is easy to use and understand. Most functions are pretty clear. Love their overnight planning tool.

Cons

Copying multi day routes, or the fact that it changes the whole route without intimation. Not being able to see more than 5 weeks in a go.

Detailed delivery tracking software, we run a cloud kitchen and Optimoroute helps us and driver to prepare cost efficient routes, and ease of use for our customers to track and leave feedback

Pros

Super easy to use software, and addresses majority of our business cases related to delivery notifications and tracking.

Cons

There are instances where we need to run additional drivers on certain days and the system currently does not support to add ad-hoc drivers, you need to purchase min. a full month of membership for the same.

### "Many years using Optimo & have never looked back."

Really great, honestly would recommend the system to anyone looking to integrate a route planner into their business.

Pros

Optimo is extremely easy to use, been using for many years with great support. Great value for money and the tracking / delivery notification have sped up our workflow and cut down operational costs.

Cons

I would like new features to be integrated more quickly. The system itself is very good, but only receives minor updates as opposed to big changes. Maybe somewhere to suggest ideas would be good?
