I can post Board only documents, set up meetings and events, and even collect dues (maybe we will use that feature in the future?) from an easy to manage platform, for one super low price per annum. Pros HOAE makes it super simple to set up a community portal in minutes. They also make it easy to create a custom URL and pay for it included with their standard fees. Because they’re domain experts, they know I need pages for my monthly minutes, a member directory, and other resources that allow me to migrate all of our community’s legacy services onto 1 platform going forward. I’m impressed how easy their tool is to use to set up, design and deploy, including their self service knowledge base and live chat for those times when I was stumped. Their customer support and turn around time is impressive, too! Cons As a result of using commercial off the shelf software, our unique requirements for 1 minor item had to be updated to match what is offered in the platform. Pros HOA-Express is super easy to use, it's intuitive User interface for both homeowners and admins makes it simple and professional. The thing I like the most is the access to hoa-branded email addresses. We plan to make committee branded email's also to speed up Architectural applications and other committee events. Cons We haven't set up the ability to make payments on the, it's not a con, it just makes me a little nervous because I don't know how it reports and work syet. Unfortunately, we have some technologically slow to adopt people. Pros That once it’s completely set up managing an HOA is so much easier!! I can’t wait until it’s all automated. It’s going to make my life so much easier and everyone that comes after me will have everything in one place no creating spreadsheets and members and keeping addresses an email straight. I was able to be up and running within a few weeks, and able to map our member list within the HOA Express template and upload into the appropriate member categories. Pros HOA Express has been an easy transition for us and the customer service team has been excellent. They walked us through each step on the website and the learning curve was minimal. It's been a good value for the subscription price and I have to say one of the best features is that they helped migrate our current website over to HOA Express. I am very satisfied with the product and the service. Cons As with any platform, there are a few work arounds. I have found that the customer service team has been readily available to assist. It has greatly improved communications and has given us the ability to make important documents readily available to everyone. With some documents running to well over 100 pages, we are actually saving money - and trees! Pros Setting up a website for my homeowner's association could not have been easier. When I first signed up, a customer service rep contacted me to make an appointment for one-on-one training by phone and remote connection to my computer. She spent almost an hour walking me through each of the software's features and answering all of my questions. I had the site up and running the next day and our HOA members love it! I looked into several other website hosting options and I am very glad to have settled on HOA Express. I highly recommend it. Cons No real problems at all. They have a quick response with accurate information. They provide for a review of the website to ensure that it is professional looking to users. Reason for choosing HOA Express We were able to implemented a professional looking website in a quarter of the time it would have taken us to develop our own. We are an organization of about 100 homeowners' on or near Dog Lake in Eastern Ontario Canada. Prior to using HOA, we had separate functional archaic membership files in spreadsheets, no way to take on-line payments, or event reservations. We came to use HOA after my experience in using it for our 58 member condo association in Florida. Having experience in using the software in 2 different settings has given me the ability to see the full strengths of the package. Finally, I can't say enough about the firms' customer service. They have both a chat and phone capability that is very responsive, friendly, and thorough in solving problems for users and turning experiences into training sessions. HOA has the best customer service operation i've ever dealt with. I highly recommend giving strong consideration to considering them as your membership organization software provider. Cons This is a small thing but the package is so rich in what it offers, it takes a while,especially since we don't use it every day, to get to be adept at using it. Another small thing is dealing with non Microsoft or Google software in it's member message text preparation function. We needed a better way to build a sense of community, improve communication and save time and cost. We evaluated a handful of vendors who provide HOA website templates. Our choices were narrowed to 3: HOA Express, HOA Space and HOA Sites. From the beginning HOA Express stood out when you compared features for the price. The page templates provided everything we needed, they had unlimited document storage with some text messaging included in the subscription and the free trial made it very easy to see our site before we committed to a subscription. They even provide automated letter mailing which we aren't doing currently but hope to take advantage of in the future. Where HOA Express really stood out was with their support. I had some questions during our evaluation phase. My emails were always responded to within an hour. I received email tips during our trial phase that were always timely, including an offer to schedule a 1 on 1 consultation with a designer to ensure we were getting every advantage of the site. I took advantage of this and during our consultation, I had some questions the support person took back to the product team. She responded to me within a couple of hours of our consultation. One of those questions involved the product team making a change to add a link to a section of a page. Very responsive! Our site has been live now for 2 months and our residents love it. Pros \* A helpful website with good content so we could do a thorough evaluation of their platform. \* A very responsive support team who gives 1:1 assistance - more of a custom support experience without the high price tag of other custom web builders. \* Very easy to setup and use - in about an hour, we were up and running. \* Great value and functionality compared to other vendors in this space. Cons There are some limitations in the page templates, but the support team has been very helpful in answering questions about the pages and always shares our feedback with the product team who made quick changes to support our requirements in some cases. Our HOA board decided to find a product that any of our residents could manage without web-building experience. HOA Express fit the bill completely! It does EVERYTHING we need! Here are the features I like the most: - Extremely easy to design our website using templates. - Residents create their own login and password and can customize their security settings. - Directory lets each homeowner provide whatever information they wish to share with their neighbors. - Announcements, newsletters and other important messages can be emailed to every resident or to a specific group of residents like board members. - A sample email is sent to me to review prior to blasting it to the entire neighborhood. - Monthly or weekly emails are automatically sent to residents, summarizing upcoming events and new website content. - Texts can be sent to residents' cell phones for immediate communication such as security alerts. - Residents can pay HOA dues online from their bank accounts or by credit card. - Pages can be easily added and edited. - Documents and photos are uploaded lightning fast. - Changes made to website occur instantly! - Technical support questions are answered within 24 hours (sometimes even within 24 MINUTES) with clear explanations and video tutorials. That proved to be an EXCELLENT suggestion and allowed me to make many additions and changes BEFORE fully launching. Pros The ease of use and the fabulous customer support after first trying another company and having nothing but frustrations! The support feature alone is easy to access and questions are answered almost immediately. The software is very basic but very logical and met all of our needs. The various types of "pages" allowed covered every possible need we have. Cons The importing of the User data base is a bit rigid and should be expanded; i.e the import template only allows cell phone numbers and we need to have home phone numbers as well; two residents occupying the same unit (i.e. husband and wife) need to be entered as 2 separate lines - perhaps the template could be expanded to allow for the 2nd name and e-mail address at the same physical address all on one entry. Used the software for: ### "Small 55 plus community loves it" April 19, 2017 5.0 As the web master (by default since I am a retired computer company program manager) for our very small 42 unit 55 plus condo community, we needed an easy to set up and use web site. HOA Express filled that need and more and for very little impact on our HOA dues. Most used pages are the community directory, calendar, blast communications and parking lot folders for our financial and committee reports. the community directory makes creating hard copy versions of the directory easy and greatly appreciated by older residents who are still happier using a "telephone book" to call their neighbors. The calendar makes condo community event posting easy and individuals who wish to reserve the club house post their claim to the resource there as well. Reaching all residents quickly is a snap with blast communications, and i have given privileges to all residents to use this feature. Finally, all legal and important documents are filed in folders on the web site for all residents to review if desired. Used the software for: ### "A quick and easy customizable solution for HOA's" April 19, 2017 5.0 When I became a director of our HOA, we had no good way to communicate. The only surefire way was to go door to door or send notices via email. Not being a web designer I didn't want to create my own webpage so I did a search and stumbled upon HOA Express. Hands down it was the best decision we made as an HOA. We have used the service for 4 plus years and haven't had a single issue. Our residents feel informed and always complement the Board for running such an outstanding site. After quickly setting it up I can honestly say that we haven't had to do much to maintain the site at all. Residents can update their own email address and contact information, board members can send out mass notices or post information as necessary. Even coordinating neighborhood functions is easier with the calendar and neighborhood news sections. Support is also top notch. We don't get any spam emails or requests from other services and when you do have a question, Wes always seems to answer immediately. If you do have a suggestion for the site, he looks into it and adds it if he can. You cannot go wrong with HOA Express!
