Wonderful experience. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Pros

Once set up it is easy to use. The customer service is outstanding and any question or issues I had with the initial set up were answered promptly and thoroughly. Any questions or concerns or changes required throughout the year were handled in the same manner.

Cons

No cons at all. We loved all the features offered.

Dealing with Knit has been super easy from the beginning. They do set a high standard when it comes to customer service, that I've always appreciated.

Pros

Knit has a very open and transparent platform that involves its high user base with changes/features that should be implemented. It's very refreshing to see when we're able to directly impact the software we're using on a regular basis.

Cons

Knit is constantly working on improving its platform. There are a few features we've wanting to be implemented for the last year (better ROE management, tighter reporting, better dashboard, etc.) so we're excited to see these features up and running soon.

Knit is a well-thought out product from the online onboarding process to additional features that complement Payroll very well (e.g. vacation tracking, e-signature and document storage).

Pros

I've used various payroll software and Knit is by far the easiest to use. Love the employee self-onboarding - the whole online process is well-designed. Getting started with Knit is also super easy compared to other payroll providers. New functionality is rolled out regularly. The team is very responsive to requests for new features.

Cons

Wish the product integrated with Xero

Great! Very modern look and feel of the site, features are easy to find and use. Reports are easy to read and understand. Integration with other platforms (quickbooks, for example) is very handy as well and saved much time for payroll reporting.

Pros

Very easy to set up and use the software. The automation in there is very handy for business owners who can't spend too much time on administrative tasks such as payroll. Platform is laid out very well, making it very intuitive for most useful features.

Cons

Not much to dislike. If anything went wrong, customer service is always there to help right away.

Much more modern look and feel, as well as easier to use features. Wagepoint felt a little behind in the ease of use, and looks a bit dated in terms of the site look and reports generated.

Pros

Overall great payroll software, which we managed to DIY for a few years. We've recently upgraded to the concierge service which makes payroll way easier on a small business without needing to hire someone in-house.

Cons

No Tsheets integration Have had issues with staff inputting incorrect banking information - needs more clear instructions

Exceptional. The very few times I had questions or issues, support was accessible, patient and timely.

Pros

Once it is all setup, which doesn't take very long, it is super simple to process payroll and end-of-year filings. Makes it also very easy to add and remove people or change pay rates as needed.

Cons

Mobile compatibilty. I would love if it was more mobile friendly

It's great. We save time and money. The employee experience was significantly improved.

Pros

We switched over from ADP to Knit and it was a breath of fresh air! I love being able to control the income types, deductions, and codings from within the software and not have to rely on customer service. Implementation was easy and fast. We did hit a few technical hiccups as we switched over mid year and the uploads weren't seamless, however, customer service was amazing, responsive, and solved the problems.

Cons

There are a few reporting features that I am missing, but other than that, I am very happy with Knit overall.

Pros

It made tracking our employee's PTO a lot easier (when it works properly!) and was a cost effective solution for payroll administration which we had previously done by cheque.

Cons

\-The PTO feature seems to have glitches sometimes and doesn't accurately total remaining. -There should be two options for uploading documents/files to an employee's account: one that the employee can see/access, and one that only the admins can see (for disciplinary files, etc.). -You should be able to put 1 employee in more than one pay group

Highly Recommended

Pros

It is easy to use, the reports make things easier for calculating what you need over any time frame, it tracks your vacation accrual, sick time and everything. You can create ROEs and submit them to CRA, it has a lot of capabilities, I used to use ADP and Ceridian and this is just as good.

Cons

Haven't found anything yet that I can comment on.

Great overall experience and would highly recommend for small business owners. The customer support by email and by phone is responsive and helpful and allows for small business owners to work through issues on their own promptly.

Pros

The ease of use to setup new employees in the system, allow for employees to access their paystubs electronically and processing of weekly payroll is quick and seamless. Processing of T4's for employees on an annual basis is also quick and seamless for business owners and allows for business owners to do them on their own.

Cons

Importing/transferring in payroll details mid-year is possible, however, more instruction regarding how to properly do so to reconcile payroll remittances per the system to CRA would be beneficial. Upon processing T4's on an annual basis, employer copies of T4 slips are shrunk and could be more appropriately sized to look professional in order to distribute paper copies to employees.

We recently switched from ADP to Knit and the transition has been fantastic! The support team is the best and so knowledgeable. Every time I have called in with a question, I always got an answer that made sense. Our first payroll went off without a hitch!

Pros

The platform is intuitive and modern, the ease of updating employee information is astounding. The reports are very easy to use and read.

Cons

Can't find anything negative to say about Knit.

Response time to issues has been very good, the software is good, and I find it easy to use except for vacation allocation at the beginning of the year.

Pros

It's very easy to set up and navigate, it's intuitive, and the features that I need as administrator are there.

Cons

It is very difficult to set up and use the vacation allocation process. The need to set up "policies" for different individuals with different vacation is cumbersome - I want to say that "Jane Doe has 10 vacation days in 2022" and not bother with anything else. This is the worst feature by far. I would also like sick or other leave and vacation leave to be a different colour in the calendar view.

For our small and growing company KNIT was amazing value for money, and their capable, warm staff walked us through our onboarding and beyond when we felt unsure about setting up policies or handing certain tax scenarios and other best HR best practices!!

Pros

The patience and support during onboarding was incredible. It has a reasonable learning curve and the product continues to grow along with us. Employees self onboard so easily.

Cons

It’s a little tricky to to learn but the support team helped us navigate all challenges setting up policies based on employee type but we got it sorted, and we’re amazed by the kind help we received.
