Edays has been well received by end users, with overwhelmingly positive feedback and has been formally accepted into service. Pros The service provide users with a new modern multi-platform solution for managing leave and provides new capabilities for managers to visualise all of their team members leave requests. Edays is be hosted in the ‘cloud’ and accessible from all our corporate that have an internet connection using Single Sign On (SSO). Cons There were essentially only two main issues. Firstly, out of the box Edays was unable to work with the sheer number of different rota patterns in HSE (over 500). However, with close collaboration and a degree of re-tooling, we successfully overcame this. Second, we had to work with Edays to make the application function for adaptive equipment users (JAWS/Dragon etc.), in so far as these users / line managers, were able to book and approve leave. The team listen to what customers want and implement these to support your company. Employees find it easy to use and love that it can be used on their mobiles. Being able to reach other platforms we use through the e-days is a really good feature so employee only have to go to one place. Pros The time submission feature is great we have been able to go paperless on timesheets since we had this feature added. The layout is great that it is so easy to navigate and administer. Cons There are not a lot of Cons for me. Most of the issues we ran into early on, we only had to tweak our settings to resolve our issues. Pros Good support from help desk when help is needed. Easy to view holiday, sickness etc on the calendar (clear presentation.) Cons Using the tools as an administrator can sometimes be complicated and unclear. Some processes are complicated and require help needed from the support desk. The system is easy to use, while allowing us to personalise it in ways that suit our business. Pros Simple to use, when introducing new employees to the system it is very self explanatory which makes it easier for both parties. Since connecting with an account manager, we have found out ways to utilise the system even more e.g. setting up workflows, so the system does work well in my opinion. Cons Sometimes when setting up new joiners, the system does not automatically calculate the holiday they are owed. The only way we have found out is when employees go to book holiday and it says they are entitles to zero days. We still have not found the solution for this, so there is some manual work still needed but luckily it doesn't happen with every employee. We're able to see how many planned absences will occur, so we can put measures into place, employees are able to book time offs and await approvals. It has definitely saved time. Pros \- It is user friendly and the support portal is very efficient and effective, and the support team works to fulfill ticket requests in a very short time so as to prevent any consequences from occurring.- Reports are extremely easy to pull and aid in the decision making process. Cons Entitlements feature wasn't the easiest to navigate once an employee was already added. However, support as previously mentioned, support is readily available. Pros Easy to use and set up. Has good visuals and you can get an overview of absence and planned absence easily, which helps for staff planning. Cons The reports require a bit of user manipulation to get them where you want them to be, that said this isn't difficult to do. What a refreshing difference you get with eDays - it is easy to set up and implement, easy to use, great view of all absences - individually and for all our employees. And the reporting functionality is superb. And really affordable. This is the second company where I am using eDays and I cannot recommend them highly enough! Pros Ease of use, useful app, easy request and approval process, quick view of holiday year and any absences, excellent reports! Cons Really tried hard to think about something and I could not find anything. Perhaps it would have to be an app, but as we work in an office environment - we are using the web link and no one has any problem with it. It’s very used to see the whole year and get to have a clear picture of everyone’s holidays so no one clashes with each other. Cons Edays doesn’t let you book holidays with less than 14 days notice - I think.
