No more spamming, reach the contact you want directly. Pros In sales and marketing, I’m always looking for a good way to speak to POC. This is a great way to test emails for valid address, create marketing list for newsletters to separate groups and multiple people in the same organization. I use this tool daily to verify and export lists to other emailing software for marketing purposes. Cons Totally bummed that this no longer integrates with sales navigator on linked in. That was the most amazing tool when networking on that platform. I would definitely teach it to your sales team so they have one more tool in their back pocket to find emails. Pros It really helped find contacts' information quickly. While not as detailed or precise as Zoominfo, it certainly was helpful particularly since Hunter was free and Zoominfo was not. Overall, for what we used it for (to find emails and contact information), it was pretty awesome. Cons When importing contacts from Hunter, they would move into leads instead of contacts. This posed problems for our account managers who would have to convert each lead. It also was problematic for our inbound sales team that worked primarily to qualify all leads before making them into accounts. We fixed this problem by not allowing account executives to import. Your millage will always vary depending on the industry you are searching for. The good thing is that you only pay for actual discovered emails that you download. You can search as long and as often as you wish. You only pay if you use a list. Pros You can't ask for a simpler interface for either individual searches or bulk searches by individual name or company. Cons The only dislike is a minor quibble. When loading bulk lists if you make an error, for instance in assigning a field you need to go back to the beginning and start a new search. Its a quibble and I only mention it because I need something in this box. Reason for choosing Hunter The price/contact was outstanding and the Hunter API was compatible with other platforms we were using. Review Source Andy G. Sometimes I have to utilize an educated guess on an address and then test it with Hunter. I used a couple of ways to improve my guess on the email and test. When I ask for help, the customer service team are available and answer the questions I ask quickly. Pros Very useful tool to find email addresses. The majority are correct including the best guesses. Easy to use and understand. Cons On a 'Bulk Find' I can't upload a whole list of data where some have email addresses and others don't. This is frustrating as I'm having to split my data to filter the ones with email addresses out and then when the product has found an email address for the rest I'm then having to enter it into the main data list. It would be easier if the program was able to recognise an 'Email' column when you're matching them and if there's one in there it skips, or even validates it, before moving onto the next one, meaning I'm not using credits to find an email address I already have. I had a small issue once and it was resolved very quickly through their online support. I use another service as well but I have to say out of the two we use Hunter is the best. It's ease of use and accurcy is why I thinks its the best on the market in my oppion. Pros Getting accurate emails and ease of use. I love the fact that it's easy to use and the email I get are accurate. Cons I really don't have any cons. I would really like to see a feature were you don't have to do a monthly plan but pay for a one time bulk upload and find emails. Pros very simple and intuitive UI, hunter adds a chrome extension and searches and displays all emails of the people who are on the page. It used to be one of the best product for searching emails on linkedin., but that feature has since been disabled. I have used this software many a times to find the email address for the person that I was trying to contact. Cons Accuracy for data of smaller companies is very small inaccurate. Relying on this data for running marketing campaigns is a good way to get your domains blacklisted. Also since sales navigator has opened multiple avenues for inmail marketing, Hunter might find competitor tough. Review Source Daniel C. April 13, 2020 4.0 Hunter is quick and easy tool to scrape email addresses. Hard to complain, since there's no other user-friendly option out there which simply does the job and is legitimate. Pros The email addresses are mostly scraped from what's available publicly, which is a hit or miss. Some of the email addresses do lead to the inbox of your intended target audience and some are just abandoned emails that no one checks, or gets bounced even. This is the best lead generator I've come across in recent times. Cons It doesn't have any verifiable source to check the leads. We have to check the email addresses ourselves to see if they go anywhere. More premium paid tools tend to cross-check the contact addresses of their vast network of users to see if the email addresses are valid, Hunter does not have that functionality. Outreach (sending emails to leads) is great feature, but can use some additional updates to make it even more intuitive. ie emails to a specific person should address their name and general emails should address the company/team. Pros ability to find emails outside of general support Cons Bulk upload feature and emailing leads can use some updates. I had to clean my list first to provide clear domains in order for Hunter to find the leads. Some setting changes were required in order to get my account set up properly but support chat was very helpful. I couldn't figure out how to address direct leads by name and general leads by company/team name. I manually made changes before it the emails went into queue Review Source CR Cory R. Pros I cover a very large multi-state territory and need to effectively reach my targets without traveling extensively just to knock on doors. I was able to utilize HUNTER to keep my pipeline filled. Cons Academic/medical emails can be incredibly difficult to get as they also tend to use numbers. Not Hunter's fault if they can not be found on the web. I don't see any cons to report on this review to date and I have been using the tool for over 6 months. You can just add the plugin to your browser, like Chrome, then you can activate it and when surfing on most websites you'll be able to collect all emails the plugin can found in the domain. If you want to do business development and grow your business by contacting many partners/brands/clients, it's probably a super efficient way to have contacts easily. Cons On some brand new websites/with low frequentation, it can fail. Also, you can't collect emails on linkedin unfortunately, despite the fact that it's one of the more important database for emails. Besides, sometimes it shows certain email addresses but it is not verified in fact, so it can be disappoiting.
