The issue with both companies is the quality of the email addresses. With both companies they each will provide invalid emails every once in awhile. When this happens I then check a third company to get a balanced view. When Hunter rises to the task and can provide data on almost all companies I search then I will consider switching Pros Ease of use. I am a non-paying user. Hunter now has many more of the URL I search for. What I like best about Hunter is they often provide a telephone number. I only use Hunter and one other similar company which I do pay for despite not providing telephone numbers. Cons My only complaint is they need to somehow gather more Companies URL and associated human data. It is a matter of how many good quality human data emails & titles I can get quickly. March 30, 2021 3.0 I don't have too many complaints other than I didn't like the monthly fees. It was very easy to use to grab the emails I needed from websites. Pros I liked that I could easily click the button and see the people and information it had on file for the company I was prospecting. Cons I didn't like the monthly price when you aren't using the tool. It would be better if it was just a "credits" system and not renewal. Streamlined functionality. Pros It’s a one of a kind resource for finding top exec’s email addresses with 90 percent reliability. One of our assistants informed us about it when we asked her to screenscrape email addresses of 500 professionals. She relied on hunter to get it done. Since then, it has been an invaluable resource for our team. Cons None. We found that its accuracy is unparalleled. We can search by domain (including the ability to mass import domains for lookup), or we can search for a specific person by entering their name and domain associated, and Hunter will return an email address along with a confidence score so you have an idea of the quality of the email. The verifier tool is helpful as well, because sometimes we want to go at it backwards - verifying that an email we already have for a contact is legit. I could go on about what I love about Hunter, but basically we started on the free version and were pleasantly surprised with how many additional features Hunter has that are extremely useful. Cons You can never really be sure what % of email addresses Hunter is pulling from a domain, but that is the case with all tools like this. Case in point - entering one of our company domains only returned a handful of our email addresses, but as long as Hunter returns something, it's more than what we've got which is why we use Hunter. If anyone is job searching, lead sourcing, or just simply trying to find a contact's missing email address Hunter is the best possible tool for the job. Cons I most often use their Google extension to find emails for my sales lists and I wish the extension was more robust - i.e. being able to save contacts or form lists within the tool itself. Anyhow, it still easier to get email from websites if you use to this tool. I still use it to get email from certain blogs and websites though up to now. But when I began to use it even the free version was helped me a lot in my works. Its interface is very simple and fast to use. Pros I like the different ways to search, find or verify the emails. If you know the domain you can use this data to find emails from this domain. Or if you have an email but you aren't sure if it is valid then you can check it by using Hunter's Verifier tool. Even though some tweaks could be made it's still an essential tool for me. Pros The bulk tools available for matching a lot of emails at once. Cons I don't like that the bulk tools only include emails already in the database. It would be nice if there was an option to do live searches in bulk the same as if it was being done one-by-one. It would also be nice to be able to combine bulk searches with bulk verification so that I can complete it all in one step. I spoke with support about this and they explained it would increase the task time significantly. I can understand that but when I'm doing that much lead generation I'm happy to wait a little longer for better data. Reason for choosing Hunter Best value for the cost. Saves time by not going to all the different landing pages, plus you get 100 free per month! Loads quickly and very easy to use. Cons The data is incorrect sometimes, i.e wrong email address. The data returned is extremely easy to decipher. It works very well with Zapier. I've never had an issue or an error and I'm an amateur when it comes to connect that stuff up. The customer support is incredible as well. Prompt responses and always helpful. Never dismissive. I will be using this service for a long time. Cons None. They rock! I've really had no issue what so ever with them. Only thing I would like to see is the ability to download all API queries via .CSV for my records, but that really isn't impacting my work.
