As time went on though, we found that the more complex our site got, the harder it was to manage the back end. It got to the point where we were designing separate pages of the same content just to to display on the mobile version of the site, because the scaling was so terrible. You were unable to change the mobile version without affecting the desktop version and vice versa, which essentially made it a "get what you get" scenario. With more than 60% of all website visits being done on a mobile device, you would think that the mobile version would be a lot smoother. Also, the "drag and drop" feature of the different content blocks is noticeably more clunky then on other similar platforms, giving you very limited customization. There were several features that seemed like no-brainers when it comes to functionality that I reached out about over the years of using SnapPages, and the common response I got was something like "We do not have plans to implement this at this time, but will keep your request in mind for future updates." Ultimately, we made the switch to Squarespace this past winter, and it's been a game-changer. Unless you have a super simple site you want to set up, or don't really care what the mobile version of your site looks like, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Pros SnapPages does play very well with Subsplash, which we used to host our media. Cons The entire design is quite flawed and clunky, with really sub-par mobile scaling abilities, and an inability to edit mobile and desktop independently from one another.
