But just a someone else mentioned in the reviews- since then updates come out of nowhere and causes major issues with QB including crashing payrolls. Start with Minute 7 but expect to need to move on eventually. Pros The product itself for basic time and expense management is ok. You can access data on any device and the answers to questions about functionality can be found on the website surprisingly. Cons Only can be used for QuickBooks. DO NOT let them tell you otherwise. We are months into an accounting system change from QB only to find that Minute 7 team cannot actually find a solution to work with Sage software- after we were told explicitly that their team would make it work. 6 months and thousands of dollars later they are saying they can't. Pros The integration with QuickBooks Desktop is perfect for our needs. This was the most critical feature we were looking for, followed by cost. Cons There is no way to set project budgets for fixed fee projects. For example, we bill hourly in most cases, however we also often work n fixed fee projects. There is no way to set up a project (or subproject) with a budget that allows the user to see how much time (or money) has been put into the project already. If they had this transparency of not only their time, but the time that others billed to a job, it would help avoid cost overruns and allow for more seamless change orders to clients before the budget is blown. My timesheets prior to Minute7 were done on excel speadsheets and definitely not as easy as Minute7. It interfaces with our quickbooks online very nicely, and has allowed us to track time accurately. Small issues we experienced were resolved quickly. But we did find customer service a bit abrupt with responses. Pros Program is very intuitive and deployment was straight forward. Functionality is as promised. Cons Would have liked to see a report that shows each employee individually by week. Reasons for choosing Minute7 The price was right, and provides functionality we were looking for. And available on both desktop and mobile ap was a must. It is easy to use for the users and the administrative team at my company have found it to work best in comparison to other software we have used in the past. Pros I think the simplicity of the software and the visual display of diverse information (billing, timesheets, etc.) are clear, concise and streamlined for both the user and the administrative team. Cons I think the biggest issue would be that the input for the data (billable time, expenses, etc.) is streamlined for daily and smaller inputs, in which it becomes cumbersome and clunky when putting in large amounts of data at one time.
