Houndify has an odd pricing model based on API calls which is great for tinkering but may be problematic for a larger volume device.

Pros

This software makes it pretty easy and turnkey to add a digital assistant to anything, and it has a seriously robust API with development kits for just about every language or platform.

Cons

This still isn't "plug and play" and you'll need to do some coding for the best efforts - you'll need to be able to use the API and understand the documentation. Also, just because you have a digital assistant does not mean they are as smart as Siri, Alexa or any of the big names! Be aware of that.
