Pros

Gigwell is easy to use for me to create and track contracts. Another perk is having Gigwell feed into a shared google calendar to my clients can see tentative and confirmed dates.

Cons

Improvement is needed in updating contact information. For example, if you change or add an address for a contact, it sometimes takes refreshing the page numerous times to have the address come up for the contract.

Gigwell has saved me a lot of time through getting bookings confirmed faster, allowing payments to be done in a more professional way. The settlements with the artists fits their needs and advancing artists is a breeze through all of gigwell's templates that come standard with the platform. If any issues arise you get someone from their core team right on chat with you to tackle that problem with you and it gets done. I have worked with other platforms like gig-well and by far they take the cake.

Pros

I used to work contracts via word so structuring every deal and making all of the modifications manually which would take a lot of time. Gig-well changed my whole workflow - and it makes it easier on my clients as well as DropBox Sign handles all of the electronic signatures and if redlining needs to happen the buyer can download the PDF and do the needed work up and gig-well then allows you to upload the completed contract when all is ready.

Cons

Advancing for artists can not be done through an iPad if modifications need to be made - only on a computer. Everything else is legit.

Overall the support has been great. There are many features that seem simple that the product can't do, but more specifically for my business. It's an extremely nice software for booking agencies looking to book a handful of artists, as the focus is artist rich as opposed to venue rich.

Pros

Gigwell is definitely feature rich, and well thought out for Booking Agents

Cons

It's very cumbersome for my role as a talent buyer booking 15-30 local shows a week for 20+ venues and 50 artists.

Reason for choosing Gigwell

I chose Gigwell because it demoed well. My list of prepared questions were answered, but a couple of them were answered incorrectly leaving me frustrated during and after deployment. But, due to the absence of products for what we do, Gigwell would still be my most recommended solution.

Overall, Gigwell is great but could use some extra features to eliminate unnecessary steps.

Pros

I like that you can enter bookings, invoices, and advancing details all in one program.

Cons

I don't like that you can't give levels of access to artists teams. Only certain people should be able to see the financials. Please add this feature where you can allow someone to have all access, and then access that only allows you to see the date, deal terms, and promoter contacts. Also, the ticket count program could use an upgrade. You can't delete tours only rename them. Also, when you click on the tour you can't see which dates are under that that specific one. If there was a feature that allowed a show to populate from GW to the ticket count program that would eliminate the extra steps of having to open a separate program and enter the same show.

### "Great but needs more improvement!"

I love being able to put details in there and customize how everyone in the team can view and access it. It does however is expensive, and our clients always complain of hidden charges when they pay using the platform. There are also non-customizable features that I think should be, especially event services and management differ for every company

Pros

The software has all the details we, and the artists need to refer to in terms of venue, rates, timing, etc.

Cons

It's not user friendly for someone who is just starting. It took me 6 months and more to get accustomed to it

Generally, it takes about 3-5 bookings to become accustomed to the software's features and functionality. It's good for a very basic contract experience however other than entering a contract I've outsourced all other features. It's too difficult to use the other features, etc. I wish that it could do a bit more.

Pros

Entering a basic contract is simple and it's pretty easy to navigate around the software.

Cons

It's hard to use for any other features. The software also doesn't do currency conversions easily, which is a big problem for my business. Accounting features are too difficult to use. I basically just use it to enter a simple contract that I download and send manually, nothing else. For this it's great however would be great if it could do a few more things.

It has been an improvement from Overture, although there are definitely areas for improvement.

Pros

I like that I can filter all of my events to quickly gauge which promoters have paid and which ones haven't.

Cons

The querying ability to look back on previous events is very challenging. This could definitely be improved. I want to be able to quickly query past events by artist, city, venue, promoter.

There are so many benefits to this software. It asks all the right questions and allows our artists to know all of the facts about their shows.

Pros

I really love how the software integrates with Google Calendar and Google docs. Saves so much work.

Cons

Some things are really difficult to configure and I am constantly calling on support to do things that are complicated. And sometimes Gigwell can't do it. There are some features I don't use because I can't figure out how they work.

Pros

I love that it's super easy to get a booking into the system quickly, but still robust enough for me to get tons of details in there if wanted to. Plenty of room for us to grow into. The ability to Sync Calendars with artists is top-notch. Artists being able to log into their "artist accounts" to see all their gig details in the browser app is super useful. Makes everything so easy and PRO!!!! The company itself seems to have a team that actually is in the music/entertainment industry, so they really help a lot. Sometimes even just by consulting you on how to really streamline your business, not just the tool itself. That said, they still manage to run the company like a proper software company with useful updates being rolled out quite often.

Cons

There is a mild learning curve as with any software, so if you're willing to put in an hour or so to meet them via Zoom, their onboarding team is more than willing to get you properly set up and ready to go ASAP! Any other cons I might have had last year, seem to have been sorted out.

Reason for choosing Gigwell

It was the only system that didn't feel like I was using a glorified Excel sheet and also seemed to be the most robust.

Overall the experience is pretty easy. The software makes sense and has a lot of great features. I really appreciate the fast customer support and I enjoy using the software. I think it's really great.

Pros

its pretty easy to use, customer support is great.

Cons

It would be great if when inputting promoter expenses, it would actually work correctly. There is a spot to put both the estimated cost and then the final cost and when entering these numbers, they automatically revert to the final cost. It would be great if we could get this feature fixed. it's been flawed for a while now. Also sometimes after muting a radius clause violation it will not go away even it the violation has been cleared.

I like the layout and the fictionality of Gigwell. it makes sense and is quick to pick up.

Pros

yeah its super easy to use & the customer service is always great if I ever get stuck with anything. Its super fast to contracting & invoice clients. Managing the whole booking process from contracting to advancing is really well organised and easy to use.

Cons

Id really like there to be a good way of using Gigwell as crm database as well.

Overall Gigwell has been very helpful with staying organized. A system like this is very necessary for a company that looks after over 100 artists. It would be too difficult to keep track of everything otherwise.

Pros

I like the multi-functionality and the fact that I can input certain info into templates (contracts and invoices, for example)

Cons

Sometimes it takes very long to load certain things, or I have to refresh the page a few times in order to get to the page I am trying to get to.

Ease of contracts. Ease of getting paid. Once the program is learned, ease of booking. The multiple options makes it so easy to be clear with clients what they are booking and how the deal is being crafted.

Pros

I love the ease of contracts now, especially your ability to sign and get paid with just the push of a button. The tech support is stellar. Our rep is Antonio and I think he a member of my family now. It's like having in-house support for this software. Antonio has also worked with us to customize our website contact cells so we get the information we need right from the start. The color coded process that's used to tell you where you are in the booking process has also been helpful to stay on top of gigs, know when deposits are due and help move the gigs through the process.

Cons

The learning curve has been steep for me mostly when customizing the contracts for our needs. We have a number of different types of gigs we book and making the changes to the templates has been a pain but in the long run I know it will make us very efficient. BUT, as I said, the tech support has been phenomenal and has made learning the system much less difficult. I would like to see more tutorials so I can learn the system at my pace.

Would be difficult to run this business without Gigwell

Pros

I came from an agency where we used our own (VERY EXPENSIVE!) proprietary software. When I researched several other solutions from around the world and even went through the demos....I decided on Gigwell. I haven't been disappointed. It's been a complete delight from signup to implementation to support....the Gigwell team has been stellar. I can't say enough good things about them and I recommend them to everyone who may have a need for this kind of software.

Cons

There were a couple of features that we would have liked to see in the software, but before we could mention it....Gigwell had already added those features. It's like they could read our minds.

Pros

Gigwell had made my life so much easier. They simplified the booking process, made it easy to accept payments, keep track of bookings, organize logistics, and send contracts. The customer support from gigwell is amazing and always available to help. Their whole team is helpful if you get stuck on something and really great with helping you learn the software when your still learning. Always recommend this product to my peers :)

The event dashboard, calendar and payments sections are revolutionising my workload! So easy to be across all bookings EVERY day. Customer support is exceptional

Cons

I am still training myself of all the many features so it does require effort to learn the procedures and input your data but I think it is worth it

Pros

I like that it is linked with many websites and can pull an artist from a Facebook page or a venue contact from google. It makes things quicker and easier. I love that the booking form can be posted online and then the information that is filled in automatically is used to populate a contract. I also think the customer service is probably the best I have had for any program!

Cons

The one thing I am not a huge fan of is how 'strict' the inputting of certain information is and that I need customer service to reformat some templates in order to display information in a slightly different way. Maybe a little more flexibility on certain scheduling/multiple dates type information.

Pros

If you are tech-minded, this software is VERY intuitive once you've been trained. I like the speed of things.

Cons

The older agents in my company are having a bit of a difficult time learning. Though the software is built for our industry, our company has always done things differently.

It has automated many of our functions. Not quite perfect, but definitely great to have.

Pros

Love the fact that the entire process is all online. This greatly assists with getting contracts signed, returned & invoices paid on a timely basis.

Cons

It needs to include a CRM system as well. This way all communication can be tracked from beginning of the sales process (lead emails, etc.) through event management (vendor/client communication) the end (feedback, referrals). It also doesn't allow you to send info to all the parties involved (artist, sound, lighting, staging, venue, client (planner, accounting), etc.) Each person needs different info and we should be able to send that with a stroke of a key without having to reformat every time.

Gigwell is going well so far, just needs a few things fixed from accounts end - e.g settlement reports for artists - displaying the fee when hovering over the gig would be really helpful also

Pros

The look of the interface, the functions when putting deductions in for artists. Recording payments so it can go straight in to be settled for that artist.

Cons

Invoicing, as we send a lot of invoices, it does not work as well as an accounting system e.g xero.
