December 9, 2019 5.0 I first saw Bubbl.us being used on a live webinar several years ago - and was amazed that they'd brought that level of customization and usability to the web, especially for free! Quickly becoming a fan, I used it for all of my mind-mapping endeavors. I still use it when I need to quickly demonstrate a concept, but for regular use, I've migrated to FreeMind - mainly due to import/export functions. Pros I thought it was cool that this was offered as an online service (available through your browser from anywhere) instead of just another desktop app. It's also very easy to use, and save projects. Cons I think it's a bit over-priced for what it is, but I've always been a fan of the early (and free) versions. I don't subscribe to the paid version currently. Review Source Sarah N. Really easy to figure out. Customer service is also fantastic... we had to change our account and get some users off, but they worked with all of the users individually so that they could maintain their Bubbl maps and not lose any work. Pros I like how easy it is to move the "bubbles" around. Really simple to adjust and revise as you go along. The sharing and collaborative features are great, especially because another collaborator does not have to have an account, but just a link to access. It's great that there's no software to download, etc. I've also seen vast improvements over the past few years... such as the ability to drag and drop to select multiple objects, resizing, etc. Cons It's cumbersome to change the colors of connecting lines, especially if you want to change the color of many lines at once. I do wish it could be a bit more professional looking with cleaner lines. The bubbles are fairly "bubbly", so it would be nice if it was a little flatter with more neutral colors. It is recommended for anyone who wants a fast SaaS to brainstorm his ideas or create a brief presentation. Pros It is effortless to make a brainstorming map or ideation in seconds, , it gives you a good visualization, then you can download your map in different file types. Cons there is no easy way to organize your map automatically, the overall style should be more modern and cleaner. the free plan should have more features too. Med Student Medical Practice Used the software for: I used a free trial ### "My experience with Bubbl.us" May 17, 2021 4.0 Overall, Bubble.us is a pretty solid product due to how easily and fluid it runs and how it helps you connect ideas faster. Also, pricing quite questionable. As a student, I would surely consider if the fluidity of the program is worth how little the payment is. Especially when a mere sheet of paper can get the job done. This is why (as an individual user) the free basic pack is enough. This might not be a problem for big institutions though. Pros I mostly enjoy the accessibility of download and printing. The download provides even Backup, which I found incredibly useful in order to share the Mind Map to other people's accounts. Also, there is reliable compatibility with multiple printers and little to no delay. Cons I found "Select mode" impractical due to the limitation on ONE click in order to select accurately what I wanted. I found myself incorrectly selecting numerous bubbles and having to click again on "selection" to correct the choice. I would find it more useful to keep the selection mode or to incorporate a shortcut to improve fluidity and accuracy. Also, the lack of an option to choose the colour of the bubbles is honestly annoying. I rely heavily on colour patterns to help my ideas flow better and this limitation only hinders the practicality of this tool. Owner Information Technology and Services Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Super Easy to use" December 10, 2018 5.0 It is super easy to use, I able to map out the idea I have in mind. I can easily drag and drop and connect them to the correct bubble if I needed to. Pros I first saw this app with a client. It gives a good visualization then I tried using it especially there is a Free account. I able to create and visualize my plan, the funnel mapping of a chatbot and built the format super easy. I can also able to copy and paste it easily. I could also easy add a bubble in between two bubbles that is already there. Super easy to modify and move things around. Cons Well so far using it is easy. Maybe one thing I encounter is selecting multiple bubbles that I need to move. There is no easiest way on grouping them to move all at once. And also adding files or images and realtime collaboration are in premium ones. I wish at least this 2 functions are in the free. Other than that, none so far that I encountered. It helps me to see clearly what pages I should create to balance the quantity of posts by topic. Pros Bubble.us is really ease to use. With simple drag and drop bubbles I can create complex mind maps, and then download them as img/png and even html or plain text. I like Bubble.us also because it is browse-based, so I haven't to download app on my computer. Cons Features are not so deterninants, neither in the paid plan. This is why I use the free version.
