Pros: I love the look of it, very modern and professional. It contains the features I was looking for: simple charting, online booking, easy scheduling. It is simple to start notes and find patients, without extra prompts or questions. All at the perfect price point.

Cons: There is very little I dislike. A suggested improvement may be more flexibility in tracking patient payments.

Overall: Scheduling, online booking, simple patient charting (soap notes).

Pros: I value having a HIPPA compliant format to manage my private practice. I am much more a therapist than a business person and I find the tools pertinent to all the aspects of managing a business and staying compliant with ethics and laws.

Cons: While I find most of the tools to be user friendly and can figure out most of what I need, there are times I could really use speaking to a live human being. Sometimes I can't pose my question in a manner that pulls up the right answer.

Overall: It helps to streamline the running of my private practice so that I can stay focused on being a therapist but also keep appropriate records of my business.

Pros: I like how it helps me with organization. Everything I need is there. I can see clients, complete notes etc. with relative ease.

Cons: No phone customer support is available. Ive had questions and on one occasion, it took approximately 24hrs before I received an response.

Pros: Being able to link my calendar on my website is fantastic. The superbills the software creates are simple to create and send. I love the templates that are available and that I can create my own (haven't seen this with other software).

Cons: For clients who are minors, their and their caregivers' information gets mixed up. Superbills say payments should go to the minor which is inaccurate. If the minor has an email address in the chart, I'd like to be able to have the automated reminder emails go to the minor and their caregiver. I'd like more features for liability and documentation purposes such as: reminder emails being part of the clients' files (a read receipt would be even better); being able to pull a client's appointment schedule showing all missed/late cancelled sessions; having a confirmation in the client's file that a superbill has been sent to them

Pros: I like the automatic send of forms to each new client. That really was a selling point for me. My clients found it handy and easy to use also.

Cons: I am having trouble linking the widget to my web page. It's not as easy as I thought it would be. I hope I am able to figure this out.

Overall: The EHR benefit of being able to document and have the clients document sign before the session. That's the biggest benefit so far

Pros: I have used several electronic health records, Simple Practice is my favorite. Finally a system that allows me to spend my time on what matters most - the client, not on paperwork/documentation.

Cons: The current scheduling system is fine, but ideally it would be more effective if clients were able to schedule an appointment directly without me having to double check and then respond.

Pros: My favorite feature is online (secure) notes. This has saved me so much time as I was hand-writing them before. I also love the scheduling features and being able to send reminders via text. Lastly, the ease of having an app and two-way calendar syncing has been incredibly helpful!

Cons: I would like to be able to color-code my appointments so that I could see on my calendar with ease if it was an adult versus adolescent or individual versus couple. That's probably my one hangup with this software, but even still, it wouldn't prevent me from continuing to use it.

Overall: Ease of scheduling and quick and convenient note taking.

Pros: Program is easy to use and set up. I have not attempted to bill trough the software but am considering trying that option as well.

Cons: The options for client reminders are limited. I was using another device prior that allowed the client to confirm, cancel or reschedule appointments which in turn served to let me know that my client had received their reminder and if they would be attending or not. It would be great to have a way to confirm that reminders had been sent out.

Overall: Consolidating client forms/information.

Pros: So far I've been able to figure out everything I've needed to know about this software through the Help guides, which often include screenshots. For my practice, which does not take insurance, this software includes everything I could possibly need, and my favorite feature are the paperless intakes. That makes my life so much easier!

Cons: I wish that the client messaging were part of the Essential package. It's nice to have everything client related in one place, but I don't feel it's worth the extra charge for a month because it's the only Professional package feature I want to be able to use right now. I also wish there was phone support available, even if for very limited hours per day.

Overall: Having all my client info in one easy to access place seems to be the greatest benefit. I love having a paperless system.

Pros: The easy-to-use interface, capabilities for therapists and their clients, online scheduling and now a telehealth platform too!

Cons: I don't have any complaints about this software. Could it be developed to do meal planning and my laundry?

Overall: The client payment and scheduling options, plus the online telehealth is amazing. I would LOVE to be able to do group sessions online.

Pros: I like the simplicity and the price of the software. We were previously using a software that had a lot of extra features that we weren't using and for a higher cost. So this has been an improvement in that area. As well as getting quick responses from customer service. We were slightly concerned about not having someone to call but the email responses have been helpful and rapid. Also appreciate the ability to send intake forms online and have them put right into the system so that we can save on paper and time in the office.

Cons: The only real problems we have had with this software is the mobile app crashing. Some of the employees had no problems and others couldnt even open the app on the phone. (the phones software was updated, the app was updated, phone turned on and off, logged off and signed in)Customer service had responded that they sent out a couple of updates for the app and it seemed to work after that. Also, would like to see more features available on the app. And be able to see full names for 15 minute slots in the 'week view' but those are all just personal preferences for our specific practice.

Overall: Simple, straight forward scheduling and book keeping.

Pros: It does all of the work that I was overwhelmed to start setting up. The software provided items I didn't know I needed but are very helpful, including privacy policies.

Cons: There's a lot of layers to this software that are difficult to navigate until you search for it several times.

Overall: The software is a one stop shop for private practice clinicians.

Pros: Beautiful SIMPLE, elegant GUI interface!

Clients can securely message you, you them , arrange to pay their bills AND sign all their forms!

Cons: Need Wiley Treatment Planners and Progress Notes added (they say they're planning this)
Need drop down menus and check boxes for repetitive, required chart data
Better interface for the DSM/ICD 10

Overall: Simplified my practice, no more IntakeQ, TherapyNotes and Pdffiller just to get paperwork done.
One product for all!

Pros: Well suited for my needs as a therapist, carry-over from last note for reminder and changes to new note, excellent value for cost, great customer service, ease of use.

Cons: At first I wished I could have phone access, but quickly felt comfortable with email and internet call service.

Pros: These features have been most helpful: document template, having client information online, file sharing, secure messaging, calendar, autobilling and invoicing (five stars for this feature), reminders, and customization of intake process (5 stars too!).

Cons: Creating online forms is cumbersome. Particularly, not having a table function makes forms long and requires that you keep scrolling. Document doesn't look so good. Another thing that is annoying is that Simple Practice keeps opening up another calendar window everytime I switch between applications. For example, I'm trying to create a BDI-II for assessments and when I switch windows to Adobe to see what the questions are, when I return to Simple Practice, instead of returning me to the form I'm creating, it opens another Calendar window!

Overall: Helped me get my practice started and organized!

Pros: I was not planning to start my practice for 45 more days, however, received a call from a new client for an assessment in two days. In less than 1 hour, I was able to enter all my company information, fee structure, and get my forms in order using templates and customizing questions to fit my needs. Simple Practice is easy to use, transparent, and gets the job done. I'm most excited about the client portal and clients being able to book their own appointments. No brainer investment for those in private practice.

Cons: I wish there was at least chat support in addition to email support, if needed in a pinch for an emergency.

Overall: ease of managing my practice. not spending time on paperwork/billing that I don't need to.

Pros: The calendar interface is pretty good. However, the limitations, while few, are glaring deficiencies. Good for a solo practitioner

Cons: The customer support is horrible. It takes days of email back and forth to get even the simplest task accomplished. No phone support, none, can't even find a number.

Interface has no customization. Would be nice to be able to change the colors and other parts of the session and/or appointment.

We are moving to a different program. The customer service is the biggest reason. I need support now when a patient is in front of me. Not "matbe" tomorrow, but more likely in a few days.

Overall: Learned about electronic claims processing. Also learned what I don't want or will need in a more robust product.

Pros: My favorite thing about Simple Practice is ease of use. It was very intuitive and I was able to pick it up quickly. The help center is thorough and easy to use. For someone starting a business, I did not have a lot of extra time to learn something complicated and Simple Practice definitely delivered.

Cons: The only thing I would add to Simple Practice is the ability to upload documents to client profile.

Pros: The software has every feature I could want such as e-signing and sending paperwork prior to appointments. Plus the app is excellent!

Cons: The interface seems outdated and can be challenging to find the things I am looking for. I love that forms are customizable but it is complicated to change forms and the end product is not something I would want to print as a formal document.

Pros: The addition of the video session feature. I've been looking for one that does what SimplePractice does.

Cons: It doesn't have an iPad application, which I use 90% of the time in my clinical practice. Also, it seems that I have to manually refresh my iPhone app to see the changes, but that's not that big of a deal.

Overall: The ability to integrate the calendar with my Google calendar, and the option to use telemental health.

Pros: I recently started a private practice and explored MANY EHR sites before deciding on Simplepractice. One of the things that sold me on it (besides the competitive price) was the extensive customer support site and the weekly training videos. Compared to another product I used at a previous job, Simplepractice has been easier to learn and my questions get answered quickly. I also really like the client portal aspect. Another simple and neat feature is the privacy mode. This has been helpful when I have clients in the room.

Cons: There are a couple little things that I don't love, but I think they are related to the fact that I am still learning. Any time I've been confused, I've done a help ticket and received help quickly.

Pros: The integration of a calendar, billing, and notes just makes my day to day work move along much easier. While it takes a bit of time to get going once you do things are much easier than other systems I have used.

Cons: There are a few limitations when it comes to the integration of digital signatures. For example, you can not have forms that are signed by multiple people, i.e. two parents if you are working with a minor.

Pros: I love that Simple Practice is mobile friendly. I also like that it is simple for my clients to use and navigate. I love that they can complete my forms and even provide their signature electronically. Also happy to have the billing and calendar option.

Cons: I would like to see my created and shared forms for clients to be available under the Notes and Forms category so that it is more accessibly. I can only access them under the Client Communications category. Also I would love to see Simple Practice add on an accounting feature so that I could keep track of business expenses and income here. That would be amazing.

Overall: Being able to manage my practice notes, clients, and eventually calendar online. To have online payment and billing. Love that invoices and super bills can be generated online. Happy to have secure communication option with clients online.

Pros: I really appreciate that all of the templates are already created. Specifically the emails and shared documents that go to the client.

Pros: It has very intuitive tools, a crisp interface and great training videos. I love the daily agenda emails. The robust client portal and mobile app were the deciding factor in my choosing simple practice over competitor programs.

Cons: The templates for behavioral health are great but I'd like to see more of them and more drop downs. Also more rating scales would be helpful

Pros: Simplicity and speed. It is easy to navigate and pretty straight forward for all of the features. Client's also appreciate the simplicity

Cons: A lot of features to enable or disable. Clients had issues with wording of pre-populated forms and credit card number being required to proceed in patient portal

Pros: I like the ability to send paperwork to patients and create my own forms. That has been a huge time savings for me!

Cons: I wish it was more customizable to a chiropractic practice as opposed to a therapist practice. I also wish the scheduler had more features!

Pros: The scheduling capability and interface with my calendar is greatly valuable. I love the automatic charging functionality and interface with Stripe. And I love the knowledge that my notes are being stored in the cloud and HIPAA compliant. As well, it is a robust system of client tracking.

Cons: So far, I am not overly impressed with Customer Support. I understand the need to have systems response as a first level of support, but sometimes do need to speak with a person, especially at the outset as I am learning the system. As well, I would appreciate an accounting software built in to Simple Practice (if it is not -- again I am new, it could be there).

Overall: Knowing my notes are being kept in a HIPAA compliant fashion is a primary benefit. As well, I love the auto charging and invoicing capability.

Pros: I love the interface and the company's receptivity to user requests for updates to the software. The ability to customize the record keeping templates was a key factor in my choice to use Simple Practice.

Pros: Clean interface, clear customer support focus, continually innovating and adding new features, works for a self pay or insurance practice. I like the integration with Stripe so I can store credit card info securely. The form templates are pretty good, and it's easy to customize them.

Cons: Navigation and set up is not that intuitive. I'm pretty computer savvy and I found it a bit confusing. But there are help articles, videos, and customer support folks who can help you. I'd love for there to be integrated video calling, which I hear is in development.

Pros: I love the client portal and having EVERYTHING in one place!! I had a previous EMR which was great until my business started growing.

Cons: Haven't used it long enough yet! Probably would love to see more custom SLP features like evaluation templated.

Pros: The ease and format and the link from the program to my phone app. I also like the MSE. Otherwise I am a bit new and will have more positive feedback to offer at a later time.

Cons: I would like more of a comprehensive video tutorial to assist me with coordination of intake forms and how to access other features.
Another idea would be to add supportive features such as reminders for clients birthdays.

Pros: I love that I can do all documentation from the platform, from billing, progress notes, and non-visit documentation to assessments and uploading relevant documents such as insurance authorizations. I also love the secure messaging feature and the ability to allow clients to schedule themselves online which can be turned on or off for each individual client.

Cons: I wish there was integrated secure email so that I could drop my external service and be on one platform for everything. While the secure messaging works for current clients, I am still using the external email service for prospective clients and networking with other providers.

Pros: Visually friendly, variety of options included for appointment reminders (text, voice, email) at no extra charge, many brief video tutorials available.
I am just getting started so I have yet to see how full use of the system flows

Cons: Creating the invoices has been a challenge. I still can't get the system to populate multiple CPT codes for one date of service. Customer service is a challenges in having to send an email, wait for a response, reply back with clarification, wait again... I wish there was an IM or phone call feature. This has slowed me down a bit

Pros: I am a fan of SimplePractice! My patients and I are happy to be able to send secure messages; schedule appointments and view up to the minute availability without the confusion; send and complete assignments and documents; view and pay bills....etc. The patient portal page and clinician documentation page are easy to use and best of all....great customer service; reminders; and calendar synchronization. The ongoing online training/resources are priceless. Thank you for your ongoing efforts to improve your platform and educate your customers, it's greatly appreciated!

Cons: I do not have any cons to report at this time. I am looking forward to seeing what's next to come.

Pros: I like the calendaring feature, it is easy to enter clients and information and the tutorials have been very helpful. I like not having to have a big paper file on clients and that everything is in one place and easy to find. It is MUCH cheaper than hiring a bookkeeper!

Cons: I have been trying to figure out how to customize forms because some forms have way more information than I need. I'm sure I will figure it out eventually, but it hasn't been intuitive thus far. I watched the tutorial but it seemed complicated and I set it aside to get other things done.

Overall: Saving money and time, having all of my client information in one place and ease of scheduling.

Pros: The ease of use. I was able To open new clients and add all personal information easily. I also love how basic documents such as informed consents, Privacy policies, and practices and procedures are pre-templated. These are easy for her clients to electronically sign via the client portal. I have a feeling that I'm really going to love this software.

Cons: Still trying to figure out how to import my records from my previous EHR. I suspect most of my issues so far just a lack of knowledge or familiarity with the product.

Simple Practice has made a big positive difference for me in starting my private practice.

Pros: I love the breadth of functions and the organization it allows me to have. Having all my client info easily accessible in one place, but with multiple entry points, is brilliant. The ability to keep my billing in the same system as my scheduling and my note taking saves me so much time, and likely reduces errors.

Cons: The only thing I wish was different was that it had a place where clients could securely submit content, such as proof of income. It would be great if it allowed secure online therapy, too.

Overall: All client paperwork is paperless, and able to be shared back and forth online, which makes life so much easier for me and clients. The option for clients to schedule their sessions online through the Client Portal has been wonderful too.

Pros: The site is so user friendly and keeps all my records in one secure space. I can adjust the forms that I am sending to cleint to say exactly what I want. All of my billing is done on line and I can keep my receipts in one spot for tax purposes later. In addition, I can bill insurance and keep all my my client notes as well. It really is the best option for convenience and for security. I have had zero issues with it so far. And, if I did, their customer service has been great. When I could not figure out how to change something in one of my forms, I set up a 15 minute video conference appointment and someone walked me through my question. Easy and secure. I highly recommend.

Cons: I have not been using it long enough to find a negative. I would say that there are a few limits using my Ipad with it-some of the changes on the forms I want to make have to be made on a laptop or desktop but other than that, I have nothing negative to say about it.

Pros: I can do notes, billing, scheduling from one screen. LOTS of customization. Can email statements and superbills as well as intake paperwork to clients. Credit card information can be stored securely.

Cons: It would be easier to use if I didn't take insurance. That's where I've had the most difficulty adjusting. I am a solo practitioner and do my own billing so it's been a steep, and at times frustrating, process since each payment can be different (with deductibles, copays, credits, etc). I take payment at time of session so not sure if that's part of the problem. If you are all self-pay, it would be a breeze. The Auto Pay is a cool feature for this.

Overall: integration of scheduling with billing. ability to email documents easily to patients. can store credit card information securely.

Pros: The pre loaded intake forms that I could utilize and the fact that so many things can be integrated (billing with stripe, calendar/scheduling, etc.)

Cons: For some reason it recognized me as s speech therapist even though I'm a professional counselor. I can't figure out how to change that, so it's made it more difficult for me because I have to delete generated forms, etc.

Pros: I really like how it bills so quickly and has a few features that help you see your situation in one fell swoop. The customer service is excellent.

Cons: It's not very intuitive and can be clunky in many ways (although it's clear they are quickly working through kinks). Their iPhone app stands to improve significantly.

Overall: Helping me with my professionalism, making sure I don't miss important aspects of my practice, like initial appointment forms, or adequate note taking.

Pros: It's comprehensive. Undoubtedly, you can do a lot of things with it. I think it's competitively priced as well.

Cons: It's not always intuitive. Some things are really confusing. Their support is not as robust as it should be for busy working clinicians who do not have time to dig for needles in a haystack on the site, looking for answers. I sent a question to support and got an answer that read like it was cut and pasted from a few different scripts. It didn't directly answer my question. I would prefer live chat via phone and/or IM to communicate with a human being in real time to get questions answered. I also think that the onboarding process could be improved. I am getting a lot of emails from SimplePractice that talk about different facets of setup and day-to-day function, and it's actually kind of overwhelming. I signed up for one of the live overview sessions a few weeks ago, and the person leading it was going too fast, and wasn't that clear.

Overall: I haven't used it long enough to say--I just started working with it a few weeks ago.

Pros: The app is fairly simple to learn and the support team is very good at quickly and patiently answering questions.
SimplePractice makes it very easy to create CMS1500 forms for invoicing insurers.
Adding sessions to the calendar and setting up a client are both pretty easy to do.

Cons: There are certain pieces of the functionality that take more clicks than seem necessary or that are simply complicated. For example, you apparently have to create invoices in order for the amounts due for sessions and the amounts paid to be reconciled. This seems awkward, since I don't need or want invoices for every client, or I might want an invoice only once in every month or two.
Similarly, if you create an event (a therapy session) on the calendar, you have to save it and reopen it in order to add a payment. This adds an extra step.
I like the idea of storing progress notes online, but haven't figured out how to do that efficiently because I usually start notes during the session and complete at the end of the day. Using a computer or tablet during a session seems awkward, even disrespectful.
The online help and instructions don't seem to cover some basic issues, like how to deal with a changed insurance plan.

Overall: Relatively easy calendar and billing features.
Very responsive customer service.

Pros: I've had nothing but a great experience with Simple Practice. I love the simple design and functionality which allows me to do all that I need to do without the fuss of extra bells and whistles. I love the software and its accessibility.

Cons: One con I don't like is that currently secure messages are not available via the iphone app. I think that would be a great feature to be able to communicate more efficiently with clients and colleagues on the go.

Overall: Ease of us, able to bill insurance, great value!

Pros: The dashboard and interface are intuitive and easy to navigate. The pre-made forms and templates make setup easy. The client portal is a great way to establish contact and client engagement before the first session.

Cons: I honestly haven't found anything I could say that I like the least about the software so far. The support and explanations for complicated aspects of the billing and setup process make it so easy.

Pros: I like the integration of features. I like the scheduling functions, credit card processing, text reminders, the ability to send client forms prior to first appointment.

Cons: I don't like the cost to do insurance billing through the software, and I think that the treatment goals should show up in the note.

Pros: I love how easy it is to use and the ability to be able to easily track the money that the practice is making. It is easy to be able to review previous notes to use in therapy sessions. I enjoy the reminders as well.

Cons: The app does not allow me to make changes if I submitted payment inaccurately (or I don't know how to do that yet).

Overall: Easy access, ability to focus on my practice and not be bogged down with the tracking of the business. Being able to see the cash flow and review my notes, allows me to be able to feel confident and professional for my clients as I have newly ventured on my own to have my own practice.

Pros: I am a fan of Simple Practices ability to take care of the lot of my teams organizational needs; scheduling, notes and billing. I also love the client portal and online paperwork I can have patients fill out before their first appointment.

Cons: Clients will get multiple/duplicate emails for appointments if they have the same email address for contact information. This tends to cause some confusion. This is one of the only problems I have run into so far.

Pros: I love the streamlined ease of creating an invoice for a session and being able to immediately charge the client's card on file through Stripe.

Cons: I had some difficulty initially with finding and editing the intake paperwork that is sent with the new client portal link. It took me awhile to figure out where to find it.

Pros: It's indeed Simple! I like there is a spell check feature, lots of templates that I can customize. I also like clicking on "reminder" and using it as my to-do list of the day!

Cons: The idea of "locking" my notes permanently and not being able to add an addendum to correct anything if I made a mistake on my note is very nerve racking!

Overall: Calendar, case notes, secure emailing clients, going paperless for record keeping.

Pros: I like that most of my professional needs are in Simple Practice - bookkeeping, chart notes, billing, interacting with my clients about appointments, intake paperwork, invoicing. Most of all, I love that Simple Practice integrates with Quickbooks. I don't believe many EHR platforms offer this feature.

Cons: I wish that you could write on your scanned documents, charge less for Stripe and billing insurance companies (i don't like the 'nickel and dime' approach for these features).

Overall: all-in-one approach to running a successful private practice.

Pros: I love the note templates, the client portal, and the finance records. Having it all connected for each client makes it really easy and simple to serve my clients, as well as to focus on what needs my attention: the client themselves. Thanks for taking many of the other parts off of my hands.

Cons: I would love to see there be some type of email integration so that I can email clients directly from SimplePractice. I would also like to see some type of Dashboard when I first log in with my schedule for the day, practical reminders, etc, instead of just viewing my calendar right away.

Pros: It's very comprehensive! Everything is in one spot. The ability to bill for clients directly and not rely on a billing company.

Cons: The reminders do not allow for confirmation from clients and it takes a lot of time to enter all of the information into the excel sheet that SP will upload for you. Also - it isn't indicated but you're charged for the electronic claims.

Pros: I like the user interface best, especially as compared to similar software. It's easy to navigate each area of the website. Additionally, each aspect of what Simple Practice offers takes much less time to use than if I were to do the tasks on my own. Specifically, having invoices created in no time is especially useful.

Cons: My least favorite part about the software is that I cannot create an appointment in iCal and have it upload to Simple Practice.

Pros: I love that I could create my own templates for notes. It made my note taking faster and easier. I also love the mobile app. I can see my calendar anywhere and it is secure.

Cons: You can't make calendar notes on a clients appointment. Those have been helpful in the past (in other programs) for reminders.

Pros: We love the simpleness of SimplePractice! It has a clean look and offers a secure HIPAA compliant payment, messaging, and calendaring/booking system.

Cons: Sometimes simple isn't easy to convince older clinic owners that it would be in their best interest to transition over to simplepractice. We use it for our partnerships so all of us can be on the same page.

Pros: I like the Ehr features, how everything is available on my phone or computer. When I worked at an agency, I used Greenway, another electronic system, so this is simply so perfect for my private practice needs - organization, client info, convenience, customizable email templates/forms, all electronic paperwork. I appreciate the Simple Practice team behind the software! When I had an issue, we scheduled screen sharing to work through it and the team is very prompt with email replies. I love that everything is EASY and convenient, so I don't need any paperwork. I also like how stripe is connected and recurrent auto pay is an option. I am private pay, so it's easy to edit the cost of a client's session depending if they are on a sliding scale. Also, there is a "book online" feature, so I have added this to my website and clients are using it! One of my client's mom's loves booking sessions at 11pm and planning for the week ahead, so the feedback is super positive. Love it!

Cons: The app and the safari browse are different. Some things aren't in the app, so I always just keep the browser open. One thing I'd like to improve: there is only room for one person's phone number to get the automated text and voicemail reminders. I see kids and some teens, so I'd like mom, dad, and teen client to each get a text and voicemail reminder about the appointment. It would be great to have two three people's phone numbers to have auto texting reminders sent to them.

Pros: Comprehensive features offered, cost and ease of use. I also love the visual layout of the various features. Easy for a big picture hate details type of clinician/business owner.

Cons: I'm not sure if it is the software or me, but I have to delete accessibility options one at a time. I would love the ability to highlight and delete multiple sessions at a time on one day.

Overall: Paperless intake process. Client's can schedule. Electronic records and portability of records.

Pros: I like that Simple Practice can take care of most of my practice organizational needs, from scheduling, to notes, to billing. I also love the client portal and digital intake paperwork I can have clients fill out before the first session.

Cons: It took some time to figure out how things worked. I appreciated the how-to videos and quick email responses though.

Cons: I have struggled getting my questions answered. I can't always find the answers in the tutorials and it is hard to find how to get customer support. My other EHR had very easy customer support to call or email. I hope that this changes as there are still a lot of questions getting set up that I feel I need some help with personally.

Pros: I like the efficiency. We use the blocking tool and also appointment setting tools. The record keeping is very clear and easy to use for case notes. I like the instant and automatic email invitation to the patient portal. I don't have to remember to send the invitation. Billing can be done efficiently. Client search is quite easy to move through.

Cons: When we have multiple people in a family with the same 'family' email, there is some confusion about duplicates. Beware of clicking your mouse outside of the new appointment block before you save information because that click kills unsaved information.

Overall: Efficient, trustworthy software that impresses patients with that trust and integrity.

Pros: I love that notes come prior to billing to ensure that all clinicians complete notes prior to billing client. I love that all reminders to client are free. I love that we can choose our format of notes as we all have different styles and they are all complaint and meet requirements. We get responses immediatly.

Cons: That is is not connected to Office Ally.
That we can only list one supervisor . We have many clinicians in our practice that take interns.
The cost is a little high for the simplicity.
Would like teletherapy feature so I can have one company to use for this as well.

Pros: I like that it meets all of the needs for my small practice, from being able to customize intake forms to billing insurance. It gives me one place to store all of my patient records in a HIPAA compliant manner.

Cons: I wish there was more flexibility for the booking calendar. I would like to be able to customize more precisely how far in advance a patient can schedule an appointment. I would also like for patients to be able to schedule their appointments without me needing to confirm every single one. It is a huge waste of time for me to have to approve every appointment a patient schedules online.

Overall: This provided me a HIPAA compliant way to store all of my patient records. It also provided an integrated online scheduling calendar for my clients and addressed issues with insurance billing.

Pros: The client portal is wonderful. I can send clients a welcome email that gets them set up with the client portal where they can access all my office forms and complete demographic and intake forms that get saved into the account - no more repetitive data entry!

Cons: Some things are not intuitive, but after using it several times, I have figured everything out for the most part.

Overall: Integrates all paperwork. Also secure client messaging

Pros: The fact that i can input all client information including insurance details and co pay. It is so easy to access this information right from the appointment.

Cons: There is not much that I do not like. However, if i had to add something it would be a little note section when setting up the appointment in order to note any important information with regards to that particular appointment.

Pros: Can customize it to your personal needs, does have templates that I can use. There are a lot of features and more being added. Glad that it is HIPAA compliant.

Cons: Though very customizable, I find that I wish I I used more of what the software offered. However, I find it pretty time consuming to learn the things I can change and have not been using all the features simply because of the learning curve. I'd appreciate it feeling a little more user friendly though I'm not sure how to achieve that goal.

Pros: I signed up for the free trial, as I am new to EHR systems. Simple Practice made it easy for me to learn how to use an EHR. I really like that I can use my own forms, send/sign them electronically, and keep things paperless. Everything is streamlined for an efficiently running a private practice.

Cons: I haven't found anything I don't like at this point. I think Simple Practice has taken a lot of feedback given by others into consideration when updating this system and am happy to see it continues to evolve.

Pros: I like all of the integrations that SimplePractice has with scheduling, patient reminders, communication with patients, the patient portal and direct payment.

Cons: I do not like that there can only be one patient account registered per email. I care for a lot of families and children who often don't have their own emails to use. Plus, it would be easier for the parents to have access to all of the forms for their kids on one portal.

Pros: Integrated credit card processing, Client portal for HIPPA compliant communication, safe payments, secure messaging, and online scheduling. I love that you can scan business documents for storage, and that I now have an EHR that integrates with payments, scheduling, insurance, and note taking. Great feature that you can send intakes securely for clients to complete before they come to the office.

Cons: I wish it integrated better with Quickbooks.

I wish the insurance features were faster (drop down box is very slow for choosing insurance providers) and the list is not as complete as I hoped

I'd prefer an online landing page for online scheduling so clients could schedule without going through the client portal if they chose to do so

Online schedule should have a feature for infinite recurring appointments just for ease sake.

Key con to me so far: They need phone support. Especially upon set up, it would just be nice to make a quick call and get unstuck rather than having to set up a video 1:1 or read through their support materials. For the price of the product, though, I see why this might be a challenge to provide.

Overall: Lower cost than what I was doing before with a separate insurance billing product, online scheduler, and credit card processing feature. Eventually, this will help me go almost completely paperless.

Pros: Coming from Therapy Appointment after 5 years, this was a breath of fresh air. Infinitely more customizable with considerably more options. Plus Simple Practice is cheaper, especially for multi-clinician practices. A few of my favorite aspects are:
- HIPAA-compliant integration with Google Calendar
- store multiple credit cards under a single client
- separate accounts/confidentiality for each spouse, but joint note writing that goes into each account for couple sessions
- custom automated replies/emails
- custom email/text/voice reminders and multiple reminders for each client
- smooth integration with Swipe, including a convenient transaction log
- well organized and easy-to-use reminder system

Cons: - lack of customization for each individual clinician
- lack of accounting for virtual therapy (no place for changing the POS and modifier on individual sessions)
- repeat appointments have some glitches
- editing individual/couple sessions to one or the other is difficult

Pros: Calendar features is great; client portal is very easy to use and I love that you can add documents, intake forms to fill out on-line - so environmentally friendly. As well, there is an auto-pay feature that charges clients at the end of the day which is so convenient.

Cons: I wish there was a phone support options - sometimes I just have a simple question and the time it takes to research the help and/or send in a request makes it less easy to solve a problem. I'd also like more template options.

Pros: The ability to have a "one stop shop" for my practice. I can do the billing, generate invoices, write note, organize my calendar with one website.

Cons: My free trial ended so I have upgraded to pay for the service. However, I am still confused about the "basic" ability and the "professional" ability and the differences.

Pros: It's easy to learn, makes sense and utilizes safeguards to prevent errors. Once I got over the hurdle of getting started, I found the program became easier to use and was able to get my questions answered in a timely fashion.

Cons: I had to enter many families very quickly. Since I see mainly children, I found it tedious to repeatedly re-enter personal data for both the child and the responsible party. It would be nice to have a "same" feature to click on if the information was the same.

Overall: I was able to avoid a crisis and continue my cash flow!

Pros: I LOVE the App. I often run into clieonts on the street (small town), and am able to schedule appointments on my phone.

Cons: Clients are expected to fill out intake assessments. I would like to option to access the intake assessment form myself to complete with clients if they prefer. Some clients do not wish to use the client portal.

Pros: The ease of use overall. I consider myself a just above a tech 'novice,' yet I found I can navigate through and figure out what I need to use by simply playing with the software. I love that it was designed by therapists and FOR therapists, and as the owner of a private therapy practice, I love that idea (and you can tell it was truly made for small business owners like me).

Cons: Sometimes I have a little trouble finding troubleshooting answers to questions, but it really is more because there are so many tutorials and articles on various subjects, not because there's a lack of support on the Help Desk side.
