### "BrowserStack: Robust Testing Platform Facing a Few Obstacles"

September 23, 2025

5.0

Pros

BrowserStack offers an intuitive UI, making it easy for new users to get started with lesser learning curve. Provides secure, isolated testing environments to protect sensitive data. Eliminates the need for maintaining physical device labs, reducing infrastructure costs. Centralized dashboard for managing users, devices, and test sessions. Can do both exploratory as well as automated tests, easy to integrate with ADO.

Cons

Test management features are not as mature or integrated as dedicated test management platforms such as JIRA. There is no pay-as-you-go plan, and payment options are limited (credit card preferred), which can complicate transactions for some organizations

### "Reliable Testing Platform with Strong Automation Support"

April 2, 2026

4.0

Overall, my experience with BrowserStack has been positive. It simplifies cross-browser and cross-device testing significantly and helps maintain good test coverage. The platform is user-friendly, supports strong automation capabilities, and fits well into modern QA workflows. Despite a few minor limitations, it remains a reliable tool for efficient testing and test management.

Pros

What I liked most about BrowserStack is its ease of use and wide device/browser coverage. The platform makes both manual and automated testing very convenient, especially with its real device cloud. Integration with automation frameworks is smooth, and session management is helpful for tracking and debugging tests efficiently. Customer support is also responsive when issues arise.

Cons

At times, performance can feel slightly inconsistent, especially during peak usage. Debugging failed sessions could be more intuitive, and the pricing might feel a bit on the higher side for smaller teams.

### "Def worth the money, some things could be better!"

March 23, 2026

4.0

Overall, the experience is rather positive and the tool is very helpful especially for mobile tests. It helps to bypass bot-traffic blocks, providing a reliable testing environment compared to emulators.

Pros

I use BrowserStack to test sites, HTML5 creatives, and other things related to HTML behavior on devices. I like that there are so many different devices to choose from, as well as a variety of browsers and browser versions available. It's super helpful and all of that works well with VPN too. The initial account setup was very easy, and we had an account manager to assist us.

Cons

The network console is often buggy and does not capture network events sometimes. The console would also oftentimes get disconnected, which means that you have to re-start the device.

### "The best solution for mobile automation"

September 22, 2025

5.0

We started partnering with browserstack over a year ago because we wanted a better solution for mobile testing. The Browserstack team sat with us and provided technical feedback, training and demos in order for us to ramp up quickly. They are always proactively looking to help and offer solutions, and we have now integrated their mobile automation into our regression test cycle. They provide a safe and integrated way to seamlessly run tests, with detailed dashboard and metrics to help triage.

Pros

What I like the most about Browserstack is the level of support and care that the team puts into their products. The team is always proactive in offering training and support, providing advice and technical troubleshooting when needed.

Cons

I feel like the Browserstack team is sometimes trying to encourage the purchase of new products too aggressively. I would prefer a target approach to understand the customer needs first instead of looking to sell more options that would not fit our roadmap.

We chose browserstack because of the large array of devices, the combination of live and automation on mobile, and the cost that fit our budget needs.

### "One of the best tools to run test on real (remote) devices"

April 3, 2026

4.0

Overall browserStack is a very known tool with a robust solution for common testing scenarios that is a good helper to complement your existing CI/CD process

Pros

The live mobile testing feature stands out for me because it removes a lot of the overhead of managing physical devices, while still giving me confidence in the quality and stability of the product across the setups our users rely on.

Cons

I think a Major drawback is that some features are separated so you need to know the needs of your testing to avoid paying a license for features that you aren't going to use often.

The setup is straightforward, and it integrates well with automation frameworks like Selenium and Cypress, making it easy to scale testing in CI/CD pipelines.

Pros

What I liked most about BrowserStack is its real device cloud—it lets you test on actual mobile devices and browsers instantly without maintaining any infrastructure, which saves a lot of time and gives more reliable results than emulators.

Cons

One drawback of BrowserStack is that it can be \*\*slow or laggy at times\*\*, especially during peak usage, which impacts test execution speed and debugging efficiency.

### "A dependable and scalable platform for cross-browser testing and automation driven by AI"

April 2, 2026

5.0

The majority of our problems with test design, execution, and automation are resolved by BrowserStack. Here are some important areas where it makes a substantial contribution: 1. Test Suite Management: It's incredibly simple and effective to maintain and run test suites. It facilitates the smooth execution of sprint-level tests as well as regression testing. 2. Automation Efficiency: Test automation increases overall testing productivity by operating quickly and requiring little script maintenance. 3. Broad Device Coverage: We can test across several platforms without having to maintain physical devices thanks to BrowserStack's simulators and real-device environments for a variety of devices and browsers.

Pros

My team has greatly benefited from App Automate and App Percy in automating additional tests, obtaining findings more quickly, and reducing our overall testing feedback loop. Recently, App Percy opened up a whole new testing path for native mobile apps with visual comparisons. Although functional testing is still necessary, it does not address minute UI variations that can be defects.

Cons

BrowserStack has very few drawbacks. Perhaps more detailed filters based on mobile platform, appium driver type, or even certain appium features might be added to the list of sessions.

5.0

My overall experience with BrowserStack has been very positive. It provides a reliable and efficient way to perform cross-browser and real device testing without the need for maintaining physical infrastructure. The platform is easy to use, integrates well with automation tools, and helps speed up the testing process. While there are occasional performance lags and the pricing can be a bit high, the overall functionality and convenience make it a valuable tool for ensuring application quality.

Pros

I liked most about BrowserStack is its real device testing capability, which allows you to test applications on actual browsers and devices without maintaining your own infrastructure. It’s fast to set up, highly reliable, and integrates smoothly with automation tools like Selenium, making testing more efficient and scalable.

Cons

I liked least about BrowserStack is that it can sometimes experience performance lag or slow loading, especially during peak usage or when running multiple sessions. Additionally, the pricing can be quite high for smaller teams or individual users.

### "Must have for Live Cross-Platform Testing!"

March 24, 2026

5.0

BrowserStack's Local Testing and Cross-Platform features help me test web and mobile applications across all devices without owning them. It also supports VPN connections for secure testing. App Automate simplifies app testing with minimal development knowledge required. Customer support is also a pleasure to work with, very friendly and extremely helpful. Overall top notch experience working with BrowserStack!

Pros

I have used BrowserStack for local testing, which supports web applications on mobile, a feature we're normally limited by. The Cross-Platform testing gives us access to all forms of devices without needing to own them individually, and rather than relying solely on virtual devices. I find the App Automate feature allows us to test our applications smoothly, even if we have little to no development knowledge. Additionally, the initial setup of BrowserStack was very intuitive for me.

Cons

The only issue I've had with BrowserStack is on iOS devices, where access to settings is restricted. It's needed to adjust some settings for testing.

### "Reliable and Scalable Testing Platform with Strong Automation Support"

April 21, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with BrowserStack has been quite positive. It has significantly simplified cross-browser and cross-device testing, especially in fast-paced environments. The platform is reliable, easy to use, and integrates well with automation frameworks, making it suitable for both manual testers and automation engineers. While there are minor areas for improvement like performance and pricing, the overall efficiency it brings to the testing process makes it a valuable tool.

Pros

What I liked most about BrowserStack is how easy it makes real device testing without needing to maintain physical devices. The platform is very user-friendly, and setting up tests—whether manual or automated—is quite smooth. From a testing and automation perspective, it supports a wide range of browsers and devices, which is extremely helpful for cross-browser testing. The test management and integrations with tools like CI/CD pipelines also save a lot of time. In terms of value for money, it feels justified because it eliminates infrastructure costs. Also, their customer support is responsive and helpful whenever there are issues or queries.

Cons

One thing that could be improved is the speed and performance at times, especially during peak usage—tests can feel slightly slow. Also, from a pricing perspective, it can feel a bit expensive for smaller teams or individual users. While it offers good features, not all teams may fully utilize everything, which impacts perceived value. In terms of test management and reporting, there is room for improvement in making reports more customizable and detailed. Additionally, user research insights or analytics features are somewhat limited compared to specialized tools.

### "Reliable Testing That Actually Helps Ship with Confidence"

March 26, 2026

5.0

Using BrowserStack has been quite positive. It’s become a dependable part of our testing workflow, especially for handling edge cases across different environments without much setup overhead. It’s not perfect, but it does what it promises and helps reduce last-minute surprises in production. Over time, it has improved testing confidence and made releases feel more controlled and predictable.

Pros

What I appreciate most about BrowserStack is the level of control it gives during testing — things like choosing exact OS/browser combinations and quickly reproducing edge-case issues that are otherwise hard to catch. It’s been especially useful when validating fixes on specific environments without delays. The platform feels practical rather than flashy, and it actually helps keep the testing flow uninterrupted. Over time, it’s reduced back-and-forth in QA and helped us ship with more confidence.

Cons

One downside I have noticed is that sessions can feel a bit slow at times, especially when switching between different environments. Also, the pricing can get on the higher side as your usage scales, which might be a concern for smaller teams. Occasionally, debugging through remote sessions isn’t as smooth as local testing, so it takes a bit of adjustment.

### "Powerful Testing Platform with Room for Performance Improvements"

October 9, 2025

5.0

We initially started using BrowserStack with a single team to streamline our cross-browser testing process. Over time, its reliability, ease of use, and wide real-device coverage made such a strong impact that now the entire organization relies on it. The ability to test instantly across multiple browsers and devices without maintaining in-house infrastructure has been a huge productivity boost. The only area for improvement would be occasional latency on real devices during peak hours and a slightly restrictive session limit on some plans. However, BrowserStack’s responsive support team and continuous product enhancements more than make up for it. Overall, it’s a robust, scalable, and developer-friendly platform that has become an essential part of our QA workflow.

Pros

I really like that BrowserStack provides instant access to real devices and browsers. It saves enormous time and effort compared to managing in-house device labs. The performance is consistent, and the UI makes it easy to switch between environments. I also like that they support automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, and Appium — it’s very flexible for different testing needs.

Cons

Sometimes tests take longer to start, and real-device sessions can lag a bit. Otherwise, it’s a great product overall. We cant run adb commands on their devices .

### "Reliable Cross-Browser Testing That Fits Seamlessly into Modern Workflows"

March 22, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with BrowserStack has been very positive. It streamlines cross-browser and real-device testing, making it much easier to catch issues early and ship with confidence. The platform fits well into both manual and automated workflows, helping speed up development without adding complexity.

Pros

What stands out most is how effortlessly it handles real-device and cross-browser testing without the usual setup headaches. I can jump straight into testing on actual environments, which makes debugging far more accurate than using emulators. The interface is clean, sessions are stable, and it fits nicely into automated workflows. It’s a solid time-saver, especially when dealing with edge-case bugs across different browsers and devices.

Cons

At times, live sessions can feel slightly delayed, especially under heavier usage. The pricing can add up quickly as you scale, and limits on parallel testing can be a bit restrictive. Also, debugging during live testing could be a bit more flexible.

### "Real devices on demand, without the device lab headache"

May 12, 2026

4.0

Really positive overall. It's become one of those tools we has struggle to work without. We don't have to maintain a physical device lab, releases ship faster because QA isn't blocked waiting for hardware, and bugs that used to take days to reproduce get caught in the same sprint. For the value it brings, it's well worth it.

Pros

The real device access is hands down the best part. Actual iPhones and Android phones running the OS versions our users are on, available in under a minute. The interface is clean and easy to pick up, CI integration was painless, and parallel runs have cut our regression time down a lot. Sessions, recordings, and logs all live in one place, which makes sharing and revisiting bugs effortless. Support has also been responsive and actually knowledgeable when we have needed them.

Cons

There is occasionally a small queue for popular devices during peak hours, and session startup can feel a bit slow now and then. Pricing also scales up as you add more parallel sessions, so it's worth planning usage before expanding.

### "Easy to use and really helpful for checking sites across different browsers and devices."

October 6, 2025

5.0

Overall, it’s been a really solid experience. It just works. The platform’s reliable, and it helps us keep our websites looking good and working properly no matter where they’re viewed. It’s become a regular part of our testing process — from early checks to final reviews before launch. Honestly, it just makes life easier for both our designers and developers.

Pros

I really like how simple BrowserStack is to use. The layout just makes sense, and you don’t have to dig around to find what you need. The screenshot feature is a big plus — it saves me a lot of time when I’m documenting or showing issues to the team. What’s great is being able to check sites on different browsers and devices without needing all the hardware. It’s part of our weekly check routine now, and we also use it before and after a site goes live just to make sure everything’s working right. It gives a bit of confidence that nothing’s going to break once it’s live.

Cons

Sometimes it can be a bit slow when switching between browsers or loading a new device, but that’s not really a big deal. Once it’s running, everything’s smooth.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing BrowserStack

We gave LambdaTest a try but ended up sticking with BrowserStack. It just felt more stable and easier to use. It also runs a bit faster and doesn’t drop connections as often, which honestly saves us a lot of time during testing.

### "Browserstack is without a doubt the best tool for cross browser testing on the market"

April 7, 2026

5.0

We have been using Browserstack as the defacto tool for cross browser testing for many years and there is no better tool available on the market.

Pros

I really appreciate how BrowserStack makes it easy to test browser compatibility across different devices without the need for us to own them. The ability to easily spin up real devices for any browser or device is fantastic. I find its simple UI makes testing with minimal effort a breeze. Testing with true devices is crucial for accuracy, which is better than using simulated browsers. Also, the initial setup was straightforward, and it was easy to add team members and guide them on how to use it.

Cons

We had some trouble testing effectively in China due to overseas firewalls mainly making it difficult to determine if the cause was something we had with our application, if it was caused by the firewall in China, or something else. We worked through it but the experience could have been better. More clear guidance about the difference between testing in China vs other locations or maybe for any contract that has strict controls in its firewall would be helpful.

### "BrowserStack Test Management - a strong new player!"

June 13, 2025

5.0

We use the Test Management software from BrowserStack to replace the old standby Testrail. BrowserStack is pretty great and we didn't feel there was much missing compared to more established players. The AI functionality was pretty sensational to come up with test cases and then to help write actual steps. If you haven't used a proper Test Case management software (ones were test cases are test cases and not tickets in JIRA, for example), give BrowserStack a try - there is even a free tier you can use!

Pros

BrowserStack Test Management allows easy formatting of test cases, supporting almost full Markdown formatting. The user interface is very intuitive and moving over from other major Test Management competitors was super easy - the quick import process was pretty much flawless, mapping all the information to the proper fields and keeping the general formatting of test cases and even images within steps.

Cons

The reporting is a bit limited, but the product is still somewhat new, so it should improve with time. We'd like to see a view (or report) showing number of test cases per status so we can figure out where we need to work (too many draft test cases or many test cases needing review, etc.) The plan with AI component to help test case design and writing ends up being a bit expensive.

Alternatives considered

[TestMu AI](https://www.capterra.com/p/170732/LambdaTest/)

Reason for choosing BrowserStack

The UI for Test Case writing and editing was more intuitive in BrowserStack (all in one screen) compared to LambdaTest and the import of existing test cases worked better than in LambdaTest

I've been using Testrail pretty much non-stop since 2016... And I can't really remember any new features since then. ### "Easy online cross-device testing with developer tools"

April 2, 2026

5.0

I have been using BrowserStack's easy online cross-device testing for many years now and I can still recommend their service now.

Pros

BrowserStack allows me to test websites on a great variety of real mobile devices quickly and easily. I can also test password-protected and local host projects. Most devices even offer browser developer tools. When I had a question, technical customer support answered within a day. For me as a professional web developer, BrowserStack offers good value for money.

Cons

Sometimes the local testing does not work with all devices. Sometimes I see too many announcements for new product features.
